“This is a great family-owned restaurant. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The food is wonderful and a nice change of pace compared to all the food chains in the area. Food is freshly made and very flavorful. Highly recommended! You’ll love it!“
“I get takeout from here often. I don't get wings too often although they are tasty, the burgers are awesome! The menu is huge, fish, chicken, Philly cheese steak, salads, gyros...I think anyone will find something great here and The food is fantastic. Here is a link to a menu, I hope it works.“
“I love the fresh choices CAVA has to offer but my reason for this review today is the customer service!Tammy is so sweet, energetic, and happy to help each customer have the best experience possible.Definitely the best customer service I have had anywhere in a very long time!“
“We used Costas to cater a fundraiser for our school's band. Costas was wonderful to work with, very kind and conscientious, they thought of everything we would need for our event, and the food was reasonably priced. our guests loved the salad, bread and entrees (chicken alfredo, lasagna, and baked spaghetti). Costas homemade dressings are fantastic as well--the best ranch and Greek dressings around. Being of Mediterranean descent and a pretty good cook myself, I'm picky about Mediterranean food; Costas tasted like grandma's cooking. Their service was excellent, people friendly & helpful, and everyone was happy with dinner. What more can you ask for?“
“Take your tastebuds on a magical journey that will delight and thrill. This is as authentic as it gets for Greek cuisine in Alabama. There is most definitely truth in advertising as everything was indeed tasty. Since I couldn’t decide on what to order I instinctively went for a whole assortment of different flavor profiles. The baked chicken is the tell , if you go to a Greek restaurant and they don’t have a good baked chicken… walk out. This should be a staple on every single Greek menu. Seemingly innocuous but it is the cannery in the coal mine so to speak for what you can expect for the rest of the meal. It outperformed even my high expectations. Served with a grilled lemon to squeeze over the top it was perfectly salted and not over or under cooked. Our sides were the Greek fries (which were crispy in all the right ways, and a punch of saltiness from the cheese) I asked for some taziki sauce for the chicken but dipped my fries on it as well. Honestly I didn’t even dip the chicken in it because it tasted so good on its own I didn’t have to. I also feasted upon the spinach rice and tabouleh and both were opposites on the flavor spectrum one with warm savory spices that melted with the tomatoes and rice and the other bursting with fresh herbs and spring vegetables with Frekkah which is a roasted green wheat that adds such a wonderful texture and pleasant yet slightly nutty flavor. The orzo “Mac and cheese” is no ordinary Mac and cheese side, this Greek version of a classic dish had such an amazing mouth feel with some garlic and herb notes that just elevated it to the next level. And I’m going to end where we started which was with the appetizers. I can never get past the spanakopita (which is heavy on the dill just like I like it) But today I added in the garden humus which had fresh limas and asparagus with an array of herbs with a drizzle of olive oil… and that is just the topping, underneath laid a silky smooth hummus that was not grainy or bitter . The fresh pita sent me over the moon… I was in greek heaven. The chicken pita was like having all the freshness of the salads and the spot on roasted chicken all in one…. So you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I have yet to try something I absolutely didn’t love . We were so stuffed that we had to get the desserts to go but my god … if you haven’t been here you are missing out on one of the best restaurants Birmingham has to offer. It’s a hidden gem in plain sight.“
“I was in town for a concert . My initial choice (traditional American)was full and my belly couldn’t wait any longer . So we turned the corner and found this little gem . The service was a walk through the flavor profile of each meat … which I ended up getting all three . The Jasmine rice with the little burnt pieces add the much missing flavour in many dishes . The chicken , steak or the lamb you can not go wrong . A must if you’re down town or anywhere for that matter.“
“I go to this location often. I drive past another location to get to this one because I love it so much. The workers are incredible, fast, friendly, and I’ve never had a complaint. Food is fantastic!Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from!“
“Enjoyable & wonderful food. Always fresh & delish. Great service. Mo & Matt are long timers & will make sure you are well taken care of. Though you will be full at the end of your meal, be sure to try the cheesecake covered in whipped cream. Wow...enough for several to share a bite!Kid-friendliness: Sandwiches & fruits are kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp close by at Subway end.“
“Ya me habían recomendado ir a Red Sea, pero hasta la semana pasada pude verificar lo que me habían dicho. Qué comida tan tica la que preparan ahí, personas muy amables que explican cada plato y buena cantidad de comida, vale la pena visitarlos.“
“I have been here twice. The first time I had southern style lunch and it was pretty good. The second time I had a gyro and it was fair, just fair. Nothing special and certainly not the best gyro I have ever had. The other person with me had chicken and the seasoning was not to either of our liking. The ckicken smelled ok, but not particularly drawing.“
“This is my favorite restaurant to grab lunch from in Birmingham. This location is only a few minutes walk from the medical district. My go-to order is the falafel wrap with hummus, Jerusalem salad, lettuce, and onions. I drench mine in hot sauce, but be careful, it is really really spicy. I used to get a pita, but it always ripped apart and made a mess while I was eating it. The restaurant gets really busy during lunch hour, but the line moves very fast. The staff is also very friendly. I wish this restaurant was open for longer hours. They opened a second location in Hoover, but it just doesn't taste the same.“
“I really The combo appetizer. It has both baba ganoush and hummus along with falafel, vegetables and olives. It’s a good starter and let’s you choose an entree armed with some knowledge of what to expect.Vegetarian options: Stuffed grape leaves, falafel, salads, hummus, baba ganoush , veggie omelet, tabooli, mushrooms, soups and veggie kabobs“
“Absolutely wonderful, delicious food especially the Falafal and really friendly, helpful staff. I live in Birmingham UK and visit my sister here in Alabama twice a year. Visiting The Olive Branch has become a weekly tradition when I'm here. Thank “
“This is always a must-go place for me when I’m back in Birmingham. Between the daily specials and the regular menu items, the food is wonderful and fresh. The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, and much nicer than a fast food restaurant!. Oh how I wish we had a Taziki’s in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area!Parking: There is a large, free parking lot in front, but it can be a little difficult to find parking around peak lunch hours. This lot is shared by other restaurants and is in the midst of a busy business complex, so this definitely can cut into availability.“
“It’s great to have the original menu back, but certain items are different than I recall. While the potato salad and chicken salad lived up to our hopes, my old favorite, the chicken and slaw pita, was a disappointment. In the old days the slaw wasn’t marinated and you’d add oil and vinegar at your table, but with marinated slaw the pita fell apart immediately. Worse, the chicken was less flavorful than I remembered. That’s ok - hopefully they can work out the kinks and return to the original menu’s former glory.“
“I really enjoy the healthy choices Tzatziki’s offers. Their food is very good, and I know it is good for me!Parking: The parking is adequate. If it is during a busy time, parking is limited, but most of the time it is easy to find a parking space.“
“Honestly I’m never disappointed when I go whether I order online, delivery, or eat in. I’m only surprised I took this long to finally review. My two personal favorites are the salmon feast and the Monday special: chicken portobello sandwich!“
“Hanging out in Birmingham, AL on business for a few weeks and it's lunch time! How good can the Mediterranean be in Alabama of all places? Well, let's fine out!Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the corner of 20th Street South and 10th Avenue is this gem. It's well presented and looks super inviting. There is parking for a few cars in the front, but if I can remember there are more spots in the back or else, just park on the street since this is pretty close to downtown. Once inside the restaurant is pretty chill. There's LOTS of artwork hung up all over the place with plenty of straight up & down wooden booths to sit in. Once you walk in you can actually walk right up to a counter to place your order or you can choose table service of course. It was pretty chill in here the time that we came.Service: Service was just fine. Nothing crazy and he made sure that I had everything that I needed.Food: For my entree I went with the Shish Combo which comes with a shish kabob made of beef, shish tawook made of chicken and one kafta which is ground lamb, parsley and onion then served with a salad. Of course there's rice on the side. Everything was delicious, juicy, loaded with flavor and it felt authentic. The lamb was a lil' dry, but that was my only complaint. I loved the food here and it was SUPER filling for sure.Value: Back when I visited this combo was $28.59, but now it's $30.00. Not bad at all. Like I said, the food was filling so you could get more than one meal out of it and it was absolutely worth it.I'd certainly pay this place a return visit if I'm in the area. You should too!“
“I had dinner tonight at Brock’s and the atmosphere is amazing. It’s very modern with an open kitchen. I got to sit at the chef’s table and was greeted by amazing servers and chefs. The focaccia bread was amazing and so flavorful and served with the house butter. I enjoyed the flatbread with rotisserie chicken, goat cheese, and grapes. I would highly recommend the flatbread. It was delicious with fresh ingredients and made in front of you in the kitchen. This is a perfect spot for a great dinner and to get away and relax from the busy day.“
“My order came in a timely fashion. I ordered the greens and grains create your bowl. I chose the car pickup and just placed the order 636.. pulled up at 638. Waited a few seconds and my order was right on time and tasty. So thankful for CAVA.“
“Wow! What great, fabulous food!!! And the service is great! So patient as I try to figure out what to order! Every time!Makayla helped me tonight and what a wonderful experience that was! She is helpful, kind, patient and exemplifies what customer service should be - she cared about what I wanted to order. My food was the best - I just love this place and all who work here!“
“I did my order online and it was ready when I arrived. The atmosphere was really nice and the hostess was really friendly. The food was amazing. I ordered the family chicken meal and the grilled fish meal.Vegetarian options: GreekSalads, Cesar salad, Mediterranean salad roasted potatoes, Basmati rice and hummus“
“They have great food. A wide selection of Mediterranean and American fare, their gyros, burgers, and breakfasts are fast, filling, and use high quality ingredients. I'd love to know how they make their rice; mine never comes out that flavorful.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Both the restaurant and patio seeting are accessible. Order up front and they will bring your order to tour table.“
“Found this place in a whim when I was looking at the menu at Chez Lulu. Decided to try it out - pleasantly surprised and wondering why I had never heard of it. Goat-cheese stuffed artichoke hearts are creamy and rich, calamari is perfectly cooked and not rubbery and the spicy sauce with pepperoni was excellent. Entrees were amazing - couscous is light and flavorful, vegetables are roasted and the sauces…wow. Get the pasta! Desserts shine and are all made in-house. Recommend the trifle! Only thing “okay” was the drinks, honestly. Not well balanced and some of their specialty martinis just don’t work well, in my opinion. Overall, highly recommended and I’ll definitely return.“
“For this week's assignment, I decided to stop by my tried and true favorite spot near UAB's campus. This place has, what I consider, the best Mediterranean food in downtown Birmingham and what tastes like the best veggie burger in all of Alabama. Today I came in and was greeted by familiar faces, and as always the service was amazing. They do a good job of making their customers feel like family. I ordered the veggie burger combo, which is on the pricier side compared to other veggie burgers. I ate in their outside dining area and there were lots of birds to feed, the weather was nice so I enjoyed the ambiance.“
“Ms. Pam was THE BEST!!! It was my first time at CAVA and she helped me to create my own bowl and it's DELICIOUS! She was so nice and kind to me and I appreciate her excellent customer service. She deserves a raise! Because of her I will come back and bring people with me as well. Thank you Pam for all you do!“
“We LOVE Taziki’s Chase Lake!!! Alix and Casey are running an amazing store. The service is always top notch. The food is fresh and delicious. I love the homemade Cesar dressing, beef (always cooked perfect), pasta salad, tomato chutney dip, I could go on and on! This store is also always clean and we love coming for the holidays and seeing how beautifully they decorate!“
