We ordered appetizers (Spin Dip and Steak Fries), kids Shrimp Alfredo, shrimp and grits, fish tacos (served with sweet potato tots) and a bacon burger. All of the food was tasty. The service was a little slow, but she was very friendly. Prices weren’t too bad either. Even with bar drinks a party of 4 ate for $150.“

“Happened to be in the area for anniversary getaway, booked a last minute reservation, no expectations and left feeling like royalty. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like the evening was crafted just for us. It started with a champagne toast that set the tone for what would become one of the most memorable meals of our lives.

The Beef Tartare and Tuna Sashimi were flawless, fresh, flavorful, and plated like art. Then came the Porter House Steak, cooked medium rare with absolute precision. Oh, the sides. The Pork Belly Sweet Corn was decadent, and the Blue Mac and Cheese? We’re not exaggerating when we say it was the best mac and cheese we’ve ever had, and we’ve eaten our way across continents. If they ever start shipping it, we’ll be first in line.

Dessert was a showstopper: the Thirteen Layers Chocolate Cake was rich and indulgent, and the complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary were the sweetest touch, literally and emotionally.

“I attended the veterans free meal night and totally enjoyed it, I got the steak, broccoli, and mash potatoes which were simply delicious. I had to wait an hour since it was crowded due to everyone wanting to eat at this restaurant. They had enough staff to accommodate serving everyone. I always come here on Veterans Day!

“My daughter and I were there with her 10yr old golden. Of course we asked for outside seating, and were told an hour wait. Hostess did not get my phone # correct so when I didn’t get the welcome text I went back in. Another hostess changed it and neither one apologized for their mistake. Never broke a smile. Sooo we wait, and wait. Watched so many be brought in who clearly had not been there longer than us, empty outside tables with no one sitting there. I went back to the hostess stand to see how much longer, “it could be 3min or 15”, really. We finally got a table after an hour and 35min. We were put at the table next to the steps coming out on the patio, while there were two more tables open on the outside corner of the patio. Out of the line of traffic. Our golden was almost stepped on several times (one being the rude hostess) and the constant jarring of the ppl coming up and down the steps was very annoying. Imagine trying to enjoy a meal that you have waited two hours for and your table bouncing around. Our waitress was great and the food was excellent! Hostesses need to learn some manners as to how to be polite.“

“We’re from Florida, now living in Alabama. There are no Sonny’s BBQ here and we sure miss them. Last weekend we took an end of summer weekend trip to Pensacola. There was a Sonny’s across from our hotel room. Needless to say that’s where we ate dinner and boy did we enjoy it! The food was hot, fresh and just as delicious as we remembered. Our server was extremely friendly and I wish I could remember her name (this would have been on Sunday night, July 30. We were the party of five, three grandkids, my daughter and me). She got the blackened white fish and I got a shrimp po-boy, and oh boy were they delicious. They got our sides mixed up and brought out fresh made fries and okra for us pretty quickly. I come here because I feel lonely especially since it's me just all by myself without my late husband and my son and daughter-in-law with my grandkids stationed over in virginia. I come to this waffle house because I like the company. The service is good and the food is fantastic. We got some really great workers here. I believe that Kristen, Melissa, Jayne, Stephanie, Whitney, Katrina, Kadaisha, Linda and Holly are just about the sweetest waitresses. We also got some really great cooks like Calvin, Patrick, Jeremiah and Quincy. I also think that William is just about the friendliest manager. I really feel right at home here.
