“Yes and No. Food should be hot. we stopped in for Breakfast the other day and i had eggs and bacon with pancakes. pancakes were like warm. my wife had Biscuits and gravy and it was cold. another time we went after church for lunch with a party of 8, we all had Meat and 3 with one ordering a hamburger, Burger was freshly cooked while all other was cold. suggestion is to not fix plates until all food is cooked so all food is served hot. 👎“

“This was wonderful…the food, the service, the friendly people…I just can’t say enough about how much we loved this restaurant. Well we ate 3 of our 6 meals here. We would have eaten more but we ate two of our 6 at the Riverwalk Stadium during baseball games and another before we found the place. Love your Cafe! Oh and also the best sweet tea of my 61 years!“

“My very favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. Great variety of foods; have liked just about every dish I've tried. Most of the time the servers are very attentive; occasionally when extremely busy, it might take a few extra minutes for the food to reach the table. Have never left hungry or dissatisfied. I've introduced dozens of people to this restaurant -- all seemed impressed.“

“Waiting for Family Day at Maxwell Air Force Base we had some down time and what better way to kill time than to have some authentic southern comforting BBQ from one of Bama's best known spots

Everyone went with something different so we had a good samples across the board and it did not miss!

The ribs were larger than expected with a tangy vinegar based sauce that made them delicious flavorful. The smoked sausage was just as good without being too dry. The chicken was juicy and we'll shredded, and the spicy rib wrap was well balanced with the portions that had some heat to the coleslaw due to jalapenos on it

The sides were very good with the beans being the best option. The mac and cheese should have been the hero and while they were cheesy they lacked that favor you'd expected from a BBQ joint. The potato salad was decent, but nothing to write home about. Honestly the fried okra was surprisingly the second best as the sweet coleslaw underperformed

Overall, the meats made the trip worth it, the vibe was amazing as it had that laid back feel and the service was great! They don't sell hard liquor so went with beer, but the selections we limited. I'd still recommend trying them out if you are ever in town. Cool spot that makes you feel like you're in the South!“

“🍔 Stopped to get THE BEST burger in BAMA on the way home from the beach.

🍔 The woman working was friendly and patient when we asked a few questions about the menu.

🍔 We waited in the car as they cook your food fresh and then your buzzer will go off when it’s ready! Plenty of napkins and condiments and the burgers and fries were SUPER flavorful and cooked perfectly!

🍔 The only downside is that we had a homeless person literally knock on our car window while waiting. Luckily our family ended up having a great conversation with the woman and gave her a few dollars which she was thankful for and we were thankful for her too!“

“The wings are really delicious. They’re very generous with their sauces. If you ask for them, the food is very good and I love the chicken fried rice. There was never asked for two meals and we got the 19 piece wings and had leftovers for the next day.“

“The portions here are getting smaller and smaller. It was NOT worth the half filled cups of sides and maybe 6 ounces of meat that we got for $11.99. My meat and okra were cold. The place was dirty with trash all over the floor, the tables were so sticky that our napkins stuck to the table. Also, Do not go here to eat if your group is more than six people! You cant slide tables together so your party can sit together. You can't slide even a chair over to sit at the end of a table. You have to decide how to spilt up and sit at different tables even if it is for ONE single person that wont fit!! Lady told us we couldn't move a chair... that's ok, we wont eat here again.“

“We came for dinner on Sunday April 19th to celebrate my Father in law's 79th birthday. Hannah was THE nicest person EVER with a great sense of humor and great service for the 3 of us, me, my FIL and my wife. As usual, the food was great. Thanks, again, to Hannah for such a great evening.“

Although Cesaire was cleaning up, she took the time to wash her hands and replace the sweet tea container upon request.
