“My granddaughter and I recently dined at Chuck’s Fish to celebrate her graduation. The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent. We had kimchi Brussels, uptown shrimp, and a delicious sushi roll. Then we really did it up big with the white chocolate bread pudding. The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and attentive. Can’t say enough about how delicious the meal was. One of the owners came to our table and checked on us to make sure we were being taken care of, which we were. I would highly, highly recommend this place!!!“

“Best pizza in Mobile! Their crust is amazing. You can also create your own pizza and they have a choice of pesto, olive oil and garlic, or traditional tomato sauce. My favorite is pesto with mushrooms, spinach, roasted garlic, fresh tomatoes, black and green olives and artichokes. I sometimes add Italian sausage. It’s the best pizza! I always get 2 because people always say “yuck” when they ask what’s on it but then they want to try it and the next thing I know my pizza is gone ❣️❣️“

“Delish! What a great little spot we found on our first night in town. Fresh gyros, chicken sandwiches, soups and sides. We were told the carbonara orzo side was the best and it truly was. The 2 young guys working were friendly, outgoing and truly a joy to talk with. staff was awesome. We had made tried the sausage they used before and they gave us a sample, as well as the soups and oh my gosh, they were divine. If we had more room or lived locally, we would have taken a quart or two of either one of the soups: today there was a taco soup and a beef noodle one. I highly recommend either one. Everything was fresh, serving sizes were adequate and prices were fair. If you are in the area, check it out; you won't be disappointed.“

Treating fresh local ingredients so well and not over complicating the plate is a rare thing. Most chefs try to show you how "cheffy" they are. Get the Carolina Gold Rice with the Blue Crab. It's the perfect dish. Fresh Crab, the rice is perfection and would make southern food enthusiasts like Sean Brock ask for seconds. We'll done!“

“My family loves The Lighthouse! We had the best experience this evening. My sister & I brought our kids after the DI Mardi Gras parade. Two adults with a 6 year old, two 5 year olds, a 1 year old & a 9 month old. We had a 35 minute wait, but it went by fast. We had a great server, she was so sweet. Our girls were a little loud, but the whole restaurant was loud due to it being busy, a drink got spilled but we cleaned it up. We had two older women and a man sit at the table behind us & they were constantly staring, talking about us & our children. I guess we were a bother to them, I was very upset about it. After we paid, a tall man who works in the back came out and told us not to go anywhere yet, that he had something for the girls. He brought out 3 popsicles & opened them for them 🩷 My sister said he had been looking out from behind the counter and thought he had noticed the situation. Even if he didn’t, he was so kind and it made everything better. Just made me love the restaurant even more. Our food was 10/10 as always!“

“Drive from Bay Springs MS to Mobile for supper last night. Found the restaurant through an internet sesrch, with no prior knowledge. Walked in, was seated immediately. The waitress was very pleasant and took our order and brought our drinks immediately. Bread and salad was out quickly, when that was finished, the main course was there. All very efficient and quick. The wife got a ribeye, medium well, it was grilled to perfection with a good smoky flavor I had fried shrimp, onion rings and sweet potato casserole. They came with cocktail, tartar and comeback sauces. Shrimp were fried to perfection and I think this may have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Generous portions. And when we got our bill, it did not break the bsnk. Very reasonable. Would not hesitate to go back or to recommend this place to anyone. Great experience.“

“I took my 2 kids (8 and 13) here on a random, sporadic dinner. Upon entering the small, quaint restaurant, we were very nicely greeted by the staff. The few customers there also gave friendly nods and welcoming gestures. Very friendly atmosphere. I ordered the filet and shrimp hibachi. It was awesome. My filet was extremely tender, juicy and delicious. The shrimp tasted very fresh. Don’t seem to be imported. My daughter ordered steak and shrimp hibachi she devoured it and left nothing behind. My son ordered tuna nigiri and said it was excellent. My daughter tried a piece of his nigiri for the first time and said it was really good. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area.“

“My fiancé and I took my mother to dinner here instead of to the competition in the same vicinity. We had THE BEST steaks we’ve had in a long time! He got the NY Strip and I ordered the Ribeye. Mother ordered the fried shrimp. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak wraps as an appetizer. For our sides, we had the sweet potato casserole, onion rings and loaded mashed potatoes. When I tell you every one of us cleaned our entire plates… oh my word! The steaks were SO tender as well as cooked and seasoned to perfection. Even mother’s shrimp was wonderful! If you love REAL southern sweet potato casserole, just get it! I xouodve had an wntire biwl of that alone! The strawberry, feta and walnut salad was insanely good! I didn’t have to ask for extra dressing! The onion rings were perfectly breaded and were huge. The mashed potatoes were REAL potatoes, loaded down with all the yummy fixings. We even ordered dessert because the food was so delicious! Turtle brownie and the strawberry cheesecake… my Lord! Every bite was incredible and I promise we will be back. If they’re open for Christmas, we will be there, leaving a big fat Santa type tip!!! Our server was so kind and accommodating. She was literally the sweetest! She w wn addressed us by oir last name when she beiught our card back to the table. There is not ONE thing our whole group didn’t enjoy. The place is clean, not overly decorated or too fancy. They literally serve you the best meal you’ve eaten in a while, all with a smile on their faces. Hands down, FIVE STARS!
