“Hook’s fed our (somewhat large) high school football team as we traveled through the area to play a game. The food was excellent, as was the service, from placing the order to delivery to a local school. It’s not often an entire football team and staff is happy with a meal, but Hook’s pulled it off. Highly recommended.”

“Jeanna, Chris and Ethan were wonderful to work with! They catered luncheon for my daughter’s graduation from Troy University and I couldn’t have done it without their wonderful help. The food was delicious and the cake was beautiful and yummy! They were also very accommodating for family members who avoid gluten by preparing gluten free grilled chicken and having delicious gluten free brownies and cupcakes. They helped with setup, decor, and clean up and did an outstanding job in all areas! I will definitely use them again!”

“My husband and I were vendors at Troy Fest this weekend. Stopped into this cute coffee shop for a special treat and lunch. Our everything bagel was delicious with cream cheese. But the most amazing treat was that orange frappe it tasted like an original Orange. Julius. A must try!! very nice staff and great prices as well.”

“The foid was great, they made a nice crispy waffle for me. The server was so sweet, a southern doll, but distracted by her other duties which left our drinks empty unless we stood up to flag her attention. Once, the cook had to tell her we needed refills, without us saying anything. She did make my tea just right, mostly unsweet with some sweet. And like always, I asked to hold my waffle until I was done with my eggs and cheese grits and she handled it well. Rigjt down to the crispier than normal. Yup, I'm a little persnickerity about my tea and waffle. But WH always accommodates.

Still, it was good food, and to hear her voice just made me feel right at home.”

“I know that they are trying to be nice but, placing the butter cup on top of my waffle, never even looked at the bottom of the cup, anything could have been on it. Then let my waffle sit on the wooden shelf until I asked if I could have it before it gets completely cold. Butter was soft but didn’t melt when I put it on the waffle. The waffle tasted ok.”

“it is soooooo good! I've been picking up Grab n Go food for a long while on the market side, but today, August 9, 2023, was my first time at the eatery. IT WAS VERY DELICIOUS! Service was speedy and courteous and the food amazing! I can't wait to return to try more menu items! Oh, and pick up some Grab n Go yumminess from the Market side. You can't go wrong! “I really wanted to like B Graves — this was my second visit, hoping for a better experience after the first one didn’t go so well. Unfortunately, it still missed the mark. I ordered the filet (medium) and asked for au poivre, which even cost extra on the menu. When the plate came out, it was overcooked — closer to well-done — and topped with a plain cream sauce with no pepper at all. After I asked about it, the bartender told me it wasn’t a traditional au poivre and came back with a little coarse black pepper sprinkled on top. For anyone unfamiliar, au poivre literally means “with pepper.” The classic French version is a pepper-crusted steak finished with a brown Cognac-and-peppercorn reduction made from the pan drippings. Nowhere should a basic Alfredo-style cream sauce be called “au poivre.” When you’re charging extra for it, that detail really matters. What made it worse was the fact that I got my steak about 5 minutes after a lady a few chairs down got hers and she ordered every bit of 10 minutes after I did. When the bartender noticed it she said let me go check on yours. I think that is where it all went wrong and literally just threw mine together. No proper sauce and an over cooked filet. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, but my first visit also had a major issue — my wife actually found a piece of plastic from a salad bag in her salad. I understand mistakes happen, but after two tries, the consistency and attention to detail just aren’t where they should be for a place with this reputation and price point.”

“Just went here to get my food. I got the lemon pepper white fish with a salad and loaded potato. It was absolutely amazing. The portion was more than enough and the rice the fish came with was seasoned perfectly. loved it!!”

“My family(party of 8) drove to Troy for Hibachi cooked at the table, but our normal spot was closed due to weather damage. We googled & Trojan Teriyaki came up. They don't have the "show", but our mouths were already set for Hibatchi so we tried it When we walked in, the owner looked overwhelmed, he already had two, 2 tops and a party of at least our size. To my knowledge there was only one other person working with him, a lady in the kitchen. Our food was very good, and our wait was not excessive. Plenty of leftovers too. I'd call Trojan Teriyaki a hidden gem.”

“Service is slow, not a lot of seating; was surprised they had sugar out to add your own as many are not putting out sugar. Ordered a Dar roast Grande Black eye (2 shots of espresso) but did not receive black eye but wasn’t charged either. Blame it on short staff”

“Came through on our way to Tuscaloosa. My girls are in love with Cook Out so we had to stop. First thing we notice when walking in is how clean the restaurant was. Was probably the cleanest one we been in across Alabama. Hospitality was good also. Great service and quick service. Highly recommend stopping by.”
