“So my husband has lung cancer today he got a good report. He is about half way through his radiation and we have had nothing but bad news. TODAY the cancer center called. The doctor looked at his scan and said the tumor is shrinking so well that they are going to decrease the area of radiation!!! I decided to surprise him with a small ice cream cake from Dairy Queen in Valley, AL. I told the nice man that waited on me to write “Celebrate Life” on his cake and told him why. Long story short the gentleman GAVE us the cake and told us to enjoy and Congratulations!!! I asked his name and he never told me. His kindness added much joy to our little celebration! Thank you!!! “The manager is awesome.. she has a great personality and it seems to have rubbed off on her entire staff. The food was good. Tables, floors and restrooms were clean. While there, I believe we had positive contact with every employee in the building.“

“Features: You still can't enter the lobby, if you are a truck driver, go inside the truckstop, go to the table located in front of the entrance to Churches, there's a menu on the table with a phone number for you to call an place your order, then go to the counter of the convenience store/ truckstop to pay for your order, go back to the table and they will bring it out to you, the drive thru is open for cars..“

“I'm trying to leave a few good reviews. I hate most of the places in Valley these days. Captain Ds is one of the few we occasionally eat at. Food is hit or miss sometimes-spices or amounts. Service is slow but that is due to type of food and expected. Atmosphere is much better than most places. We always seem to get the chatty woman at the window and she is sooo nice. She makes it seem like you are at a family restaurant vs a food chain. Love her.“
