“Just found this place yesterday and I’ve already gone twice! From the outside it doesn’t seem like much and the inside has been empty each time we’ve gone, but the workers were patient and so kind and the food is absolutely amazing! Fresh made sushi, tender chicken and steak, delicious fried rice! Even the pork gyoza and cheese wonton appetizers were delicious! I highly recommend!!! This will definitely be one of the places I frequent!“

“Shui Ya has quickly become one of my go-to spots, and for good reason. Every single dish that comes out of that kitchen tastes like it was made with the freshest ingredients — you can taste the quality in every bite. Nothing feels like it's been sitting around; it's vibrant, flavorful, and just hits different when you know the food is prepared with care.
But what really sets Shui Ya apart is the service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, they treat you like a regular. Quick without being rushed, and always smiling — exactly the kind of experience that keeps you coming back.

Temari Sushi came in swinging with a solid 4/5 Mixed Drinks review! 🥃⛳️
The rolls were fresh, the tempura was perfectly crispy, and the service was FAST. Nothing over the top crazy, just clean, quality sushi done right.
💥 MUST DO:
Ask for the Pineapple Mango Sauce on the side because that sauce absolutely changes the game.
🍤 Tempura? Perfect.
🍣 Sushi? Fresh.
💰 3 rolls + 2 apps = $81
✅ Worth it for a solid sushi night in AZ.

“This is our absolute favorite for sushi and tepanyaki. Today we went and we forgot it doesn't open until 5 and we were there a little early, and they let us in 15 mins early (which we did not ask them to do), because they didn't want us waiting in the car.
We had our two boys with us and the manager took time to teach our boys how to use chopsticks and she was significantly more successful than we've ever been.
They are incredibly gluten-free friendly. Any sushi roll you want, they'll edit it to make it gluten free. They have gluten free soy sauce and therefore you can get gluten-free fried rice. They also have gluten-free teriyaki sauce.
Today, I originally ordered a salmon nigiri and the manager recommended the trout instead and so I went with it and indeed it was spectacular.
Their service is so fast, friendly, and especially kid/family friendly.
Make reservations early if you want tepanyaki, but otherwise, their regular dining room seating is great!“

“Came here for my sisters birthday and we were surprised! It doesn’t look like much, but the sushi was amazing! Portions were excellent and prices were great for what you get! The owner was kind and let us try the Japanese soda bottles which were fun and new to us. Just opening the bottles was a good time! Would definitely recommend this food. We had 3 orders of different sushi, a large plate of chicken teriyaki and salmon Kama. All were excellent.“

“This is our regular date night routine. My wife and I go biweekly, sometimes even weekly. We absolutely adore the entire staff because they genuinely take pride in their work. Chef Chai (I think it might be misspelled) our server Kyle, and bartender Jared are the reasons we’ve been coming back week after week for almost two years now. Once we met them all and Kyle became our server, the perfect date night with my wife was set in stone.“

“My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years now and it is hands down the best sushi we have ever had in Gilbert. It is our favorite restaurant to treat ourselves to, and we’ve gone to no other place where the sushi is consistently this delicious and fresh.
The staff are very kind and will even sometimes add on a free watermelon side dish or roll—they have even taken to putting my boyfriend’s regular hamachi kama order on the grill as soon as he walks in (we feel very at home here).
The vibe of the place is dimly lit and very cozy as well, and all the photos on the wall speaks to many good memories had here!“

“Theyve got a very busy counter. You can get car insurance quotes, lollipops, support your local soccer team, find an accident attorney and oh yes order food. Good quick asian food we've been to numerous times. Sushi was decent but it's not a sushi restaurant. Portions are generous. Staff is nice“
