“I got gyoza, shrimp Ramen, miso soup, rice, and Seaweed salad. The gyoza was outstanding , the sauce for it was like a sour soy sauce (best sauce I've ever had, better than canes). The miso soup brought back such good memories of happy times, it was flavorful and warm. The shrimp Ramen I had with the thick noodles and the noodles tasted like tapioca and the broth and shrimp were phenomenal. The rice was rice. Warm and good, I would recommend dumping your remaining sour soy sauce on it. The seaweed salad was strange, but once you get pass the part where it's wet and gross it actually tastes good. I would most definitely recommend Ramen, gyoza, and miso soup. The servers were two beautiful women who helped us understand what to get. Mt dad asked what kind of dressing they had and they only had sesame dressing, and she came over to check how he liked it after. They were kind and bright. They checked on us often and helped a lot. The only downside is how small it is, and if you don't get there at a good time, it's packed. It's worth the wait, though.

“I am obsessed with this sushi restaurant. The rolls are fresh, the staff are helpful and friendly and their chef at the counter is always awesome. He is attentive to dietary restrictions, makes rolls exactly to your specifications and he will ask questions instead of assuming anything with your order. That's top notch customer service as far as I'm concerned. To make this place even better... They have a GLUTEN FREE MENU. As a Celiac who loves to eat all kinds of food, this has made all the difference in making me feel comfortable enough to eat outside of my kitchen and actually enjoy myself at a meal without the anxiety of eating something that will make me sick.

I have traveled to Japan and eaten every kind of sushi out there but to find a place with authentic flavors and fresh, clean tasting fish out here in Arizona is almost unheard of! You have to try Sushiya if you enjoy Japanese food. Their baked mussels are to die for (ask them for GF options). The lunch specials are super tasty and their specialty rolls are fun and different while still keeping true Japanese flavor/quality. I can't get enough of this place.“

“We came in for the first time to experience the restaurant week menu selection. Party of 3 we had reservations at the bar. The service was quick considering the chefs hand the food directly over. “We have tried literally every tempayaki restaurant in a 50 mile radius and Ryu has the best experience we have had! The staff is beyond exceptional and the owner is the sweetest thing! The food is outstanding and although pricey you definitely get what you pay for. We have paid more at some of the bigger more know establishments and no one has been able to best Ryu. This is now the only place we go to. When they say dinner and a show they mean it!

“Our first time we just got food to-go to try it out; I got a roll, my sweetheart got curry. When we went to pick up the food, the place was so quaint, we felt bad just getting to-go. When we got home and had the food (so good!!) we realized we had to dine in next time.

Our second time here, we ate inside with a friend. We definitely could have spent about $20 each, but we enjoyed trying different items and it was closer to $30 each. We each left very full with how much food it was though, and everything was just so delicious! Their own Sushi San roll was my favorite, and I can't wait to go back!

We ordered the tempura combo to share, miso soup, maki combo to share (so big!!). Friend ordered teriyaki chicken dish, and it was served in a little pan still cooking; which was fun! Sweetheart and I both ordered rolls. I forget what his was called, but it was very fun and tasted awesome. Mine, the sushi San roll, was so different and delicious. The fish tasted fresh, the cuts were good, and the rice was proper sushi rice.

The restaurant was clean, the servers and staff were all incredibly polite and patient with us (I was incredibly indecisive, and the waitress didn't rush me once). The decor was just honestly fun to look at, and the seating was cozy.

Absolutely no complaints from me, my sweetheart, or our friend. This place is great!“
