“Delicious vegan pastries, sandwiches, bowls, and drinks! Cute place with plenty of parking and comfortable atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. The pasties seem to come out a bit after opening, probably when the chef, who was there one day, delivered them. Loved everything we had on our first visit. Our second visit we had ice cream, which I did not like--more like shaved ice in terms of iciness, but my friend did still enjoy hers!“

“My wife heard about Mis Raices Café through family and facebook. We are always looking to try new places around town. My wife, one of our daughters, and I stopped in this morning. The atmosphere was very positive and relaxed with the baristas and other customers. We each had a different drink choice: Duvalin Iced Latte, Marzipan Iced Latte, and a Carmel Iced Latte. All three looked amazing just from the presentation when the baristas made them. They all tasted just as amazing. Once we left we realized we may have been sitting next to the owner and his daughter. If we realized it when we were there we would have told him how impressed we were and it is one of the few we would beyond highly recommend to everyone. No doubt we have found a new favorite local spot we will definitely be coming back regularly. To the entire team at Mis Raices, you are doing a phenomenal job with everything. Thank you!“

“We hosted my baby sprinkle at The Teapot and couldn't have been happier with our choice! This spot is sooo cute and perfect for events! We reached out to the venue, and they were very communicative. They were so helpful the day of, and very reasonably priced! Definitely will consider this venue for my future events!“

“First of all, never would have guessed this place was here! Watched a TikTok and saw this recommendation saying to skip Dutch in the same parking lot and head to New Penny. Soooo glad we did! Had a coffee date with my AZ bestie and drove 1hr to get here from North Scottsdale. My gf is on the westside. Walked in and immediately appreciated the welcoming environment. Very open and spacious with tons of seating including outside on the patio with a cabana-like setup. Super cute. The menu is huge with tons of not only coffee drinks but boozy ones too. I tried a new menu item - the Elote Avocado Toast. Yumm!! It was topped with pickled onion which is definitely a favorite of mine. The elote part of the toast was exactly what I was expecting. I also tried their highly favored Zebra coffee which I got iced. Sooo stinking good that I drank it slowly all morning. I paid for it last night with going to bed later lol, but it was worth it. My gf got a coffee which she also loved and oatmeal which was scrumptious too. The shop inside of local vendors was a lovely touch to walk through especially while you wait. I think everyone in Avondale must stop here because there such a wide range of people from Mom’s brunching with their babies, to grandmas/grandpas, to Firefighters ;). I highly suggest visiting and I know I’ll be back. Maybe next visit we’ll have time to walk the grassy area just outside with the bridge over the pond.“

“I had the pressed cuban for lunch with kettle chips and it tasted pretty good. The service was fine although I didn't head towards the back to cause problems with my order and everyone was friendly. I'm just a black tea guy and they had (I believe) cactus black tea. The tea was okay although I did get a refill. Would I go back...sure but the issue I have is I'm on the other side of town.“

“My only regret in trying Barrio Café for the first time is knowing that they will soon be closing! Phenomenal food, appetizers, and drinks. We had a 45 minute wait but it was worth it. Best wishes for Chef Silvana in retirement, the valley is lucky to have you!“

“We were a group of 8 people from a retirement community who went here for lunch after our visit to the Japanese Friendship Garden. Jace and his team were so friendly and accommodating; making sure everyone in our group was taken care of. We were even able to place a pre-order so they had our food ready for us when we got there. The whole experience was 10/10. Thank you, Jace and the Valley Coffee Co. Team!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that leads up to the cafe. Spacious and wheelchair accessible bathroom.“

“Great food, but the service could be a bit better. We let the waiter know we wanted to place to go orders after our meal, and he took the to go order for one of us, and then just walked off. He also asked if we wanted to go cups, and we said we did, and then he never did come back with them. The place wasn't busy, so I'm not sure why he seemed as though it was.“

“Ever since this cafe opened up. It’s been my go to place for meetings, and taking a break whenever I’m the downtown area. It has a lovely atmosphere, plenty of outlets, space to sit in relax. A plus for me is the Wi-Fi speeds are awesome as well. I have yet to participate in a yoga class which I’m going too. The staff are great! Visually a great work and coffee space.“

“This charming little shop is a great place to stop in and get a delicious snack, meal, or drink. They have several different crepes both sweet and savory, and even have them in minis (so you can try more without feeling guilty), there are great drink options, and the atmosphere is clean and quiet in the day but sometimes has live music in the evenings. The best part of this restaurant is the customer service. The team is friendly, caring, and engaging, and speak both English and Spanish. Drope in and enjoy!“

“It was a wonderful experience! The owner is so friendly and the food is amazing! They made sure our meal just as we had hoped and just how we asked. ❤️ I asked for Texas french toast and for it to be extra crispy if possible. After I took a few bites, they asked how I liked it and if it was crispy enough. I told them I loved it but next time, I’d order it even crunchier. Guess what they did…this is awesome…they offered to recook it and make it crunchier and THEY DID! I can’t wait to go back-I’ll be more specific next time because, they all work so hard and I don’t want them doing extra work. If you love family and you love food, go to Kay’s!“

“Came here last night with some friends to work on case study cuz I didn't want to work from home. It seemed to be the only place open late. The ice cream was soooooo good and the guy who helped me was really nice. I'm only giving 4/5 stars simply because the music in that place is entirely way too loud and not good lol. It'd be different if the music was consistent and good songs were played but some of them were hella depressing or just too much. And I'm a musician who listens to everything on full blast so I feel like this says a lot lol. I'll definitely be back for vegan ice cream tho cuz that blueberry cardamom and matcha were to die for!“

“Unique coffee shop experience, feels like a trendy coffee shop in Mexico City. Single origin Colombian espresso from the Huila region was on point - prepared perfectly with a very nice stacked presentation. The batch brew drip and lattes were also delicious. “Temporary Cafe at the Phx Art Museum was Amazing! I believe her name was Dani.. provided a top tier experience and excellent service! She was so helpful and kind and answered all of our questions. We tried the caramel lattes, teas, caesar salad, and fruit - it was all really good!! Was sad to see the palette close, but now I'm excited for what is coming based on our recent experience. Looking forward to coming back again!!“
“Truly amazing quality, a real value beyond comparison, lengua is slow cooked, tripa is full flavored and goes very well with lots of lime and salsa (which are included with everything), every style and flavor of meat is well done for an unbeatable price“

“Our friend who lives in Santa Fe brought us here.It immediately reminded me of a European Cafe/Restaurant.There were a lot of outdoor tables across from The Plaza. The Maitre D' Restaurant found us a good table. Our Garçon, in shirt & tie, greeted us warmly & professionally. The menu was extensive; many food & drink options. We ordered: crisp Pepe Loco drafts, a super flavorful Shakshuka, & a fresh tasting New Mexico chopped salad. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet informal.Wanted to return almost immediately after leaving.“

“A good, friendly, classic diner. You know what to expect and they're consistent every time. The family that owns it adds their own Mexican flair, and I noticed that the dishes with that influence stands above the classic American dishes.Parking: Parking up front is limited. Large parking lot behind the building, and the back door is open (not wheel-chair accessible)“
“The prices are amazing. It is cash only so don’t forget to bring some. Not everything looks perfect because it’s basically what didn’t make the cut but still tastes fantastic. But the lady on the inside didn’t greet us or say hi and barely said a word when we were checking out it felt a little bizarrre.“

“Most of the staff know how to do their job like they're supposed to but then there's those others that don't or choose not to do their job appropriately so that's why I give it a four star rating instead of five. This is coming from a current employee there. The reason why I say most of the stuff out there know how to do their job is because I'm friends with most of the employees and we have a great time while maintaining our job quality equity and integrity. We also love to keep our customers happy satisfied and coming back for more fulfillment and entertainment. I'm a cashier but I love to make people smile everyday otherwise I don't see why I'm there. As a cashier at this location I made it my personal goal to make every one of my customers smile to the best of my abilities or try to make them feel welcomed to our store at any given time and to feel willing and prepared to ask for help from any of the employees. But I do have to say that a few of my supervisors are actually really cool they do know how to train their new employees well and I would say that it is a pretty decent place to work at as well as shop. But the general store manager does have a negative attitude towards most employees no matter who they are or their job position. But in my opinion I don't focus on him because he is not a major factor in my decisions on whether or not I treat my customers with respect or without respect. I aim to treat my customers with the respect that they deserve no matter how disrespectful they are to me and to make sure they find everything that they are looking for it and hopefully more“
