“I’ve never been much of an Olive Garden person. In fact, my rule of thumb has always been that I might visit once every five or six years. The breadsticks and salad have always been consistent, but historically I’ve usually run into service issues, food inconsistencies, or something that left me underwhelmed.
That perspective completely changed today at the Olive Garden in Oro Valley.
After a large church function, our group of nine decided to celebrate with dinner. I called ahead, and the staff was more than happy to take down my name and note our party size. When we arrived, it seemed like half the church congregation had the same idea. If I had to guess, there were probably 50 or more people walking in around the same time, spread across multiple parties. You could immediately tell the staff had been hit with an unexpected rush.
Despite that, the team handled it professionally. They asked us to give them a few minutes, which was completely understandable, and within about five or six minutes we were seated.
Our server, Emily, was absolutely outstanding. The level of service she provided was the kind of attentive, detail oriented experience you would normally expect from a much higher end restaurant. Drink refills never ran dry, requests were handled quickly, and we never found ourselves waiting on anything. She was friendly, professional, and genuinely accommodating throughout the entire meal.
As we were waiting for our entrées, the manager stopped by my table to personally inform me that they had run out of Bucatini noodles for the dish I ordered. What impressed me wasn’t the situation itself, because inventory shortages happen, but how it was handled. She approached with genuine concern and professionalism, making sure I was aware of the issue and offering alternatives.
I happily substituted rigatoni, and honestly, I think it may have worked even better with the dish. I ordered the entrée featuring sirloin tips and shrimp in a spicy sauce, and it was excellent. Every component was cooked well, flavorful, and satisfying.
Having spent years managing food and beverage operations at a country club, I know firsthand how challenging hospitality can be, especially in areas where guests can sometimes be demanding or difficult. You could tell this staff has probably dealt with their fair share of tough situations, which made their professionalism and positive attitude even more impressive.
The experience didn’t stop with Emily. The manager checked on our table multiple times, and a busser consistently stopped by to clear plates and keep everything tidy. Every member of the staff seemed focused on creating a great experience.
One thing our group especially appreciated was being seated in a more private area that worked perfectly for our gathering. It allowed us to enjoy our celebration comfortably without feeling crowded or rushed.
Most importantly, everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. Nine people, multiple entrées, soups, salads, appetizers, and not a single complaint. That’s not something you see every day.
This visit completely changed my perspective on Olive Garden. What stood out wasn’t just the food, it was the people. The professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail from Emily, the management team, and the support staff made this one of the best chain restaurant experiences I’ve had in a very long time.
Thank you to everyone at the Oro Valley Olive Garden for making our celebration memorable. We’ll definitely be back.“

“Traveling from out west and originally from Chicago. Had no idea there was a Rosatis out here but was extremely excited to get some again and they did NOT disappoint. Ordered for delivery and it was fast and extremely good. I wish they'd go back to their seasoned fries but they also have opted for the frozen crinkles in Chicago as well.“

“Food and service is great. Can get loud near the front of the restaurant. Of you want a quieter experience ask for a table away from the front. The front is where take our pickups are and there is a slightly annoying to annoying beep sequence when the front door is opened...depending on your tolerance.
Incredible gluten free options, GF pizza crust and baguettes are from gourmet girls 5/5 stars for taste!
Zucchini noodle dish is the bomb! GF meatballs too!!“

“Wow! This is a hidden gem that was recommended to me by a colleague. Food was delicious services great and everyone in there was very friendly. As we were walking in, everyone was saying hi. This I found odd but very nice. Almost like they were regulars and welcomimg new guests or something. Just such a great atmosphere.
And then the food came. We were hoping it was good. Nope! It was amazing!
I highly recommend trying this place. It is definitely going to be my go-to for Italian.
...try the salads. Super delicious!“

“We live near Bazils and eat there quite often. The owners, Max and Sandy ate lovely, and the waiters and waitresses do a wonderful job of serving. The Italian food is the best in town. The marinara and salad dressing are especially good. Too, the other offerings such as veal and steak dishes, and their escargot and cheese bread are delicious.“

“I stopped in at Sauce Pizza & Wine for dinner and ordered the broccoli cheddar pasta with chicken, and it was a great meal. The dish was full of flavor—the creamy cheddar sauce, tender broccoli, and perfectly cooked pasta all worked together really well. The chicken was cooked nicely. For how tasty and satisfying it was, the price felt very reasonable, especially considering the excellent quality of the ingredients and great taste.
The service was excellent—friendly, and attentive—which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was warm, clean, and relaxed, making it a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy a flavorful meal.
Another nice perk is that Sauce Pizza & Wine has a loyalty program, and they offer a sign‑up bonus when you download their app. It’s a great way to get rewarded for meals you’re already enjoying. Between the flavorful pasta, fair pricing, great service, and the rewards program, this is definitely a spot I would highly recommend coming back to.“

“The creativity alone in the pizza toppings are phenomenal and done so well. But it is not just the pizza that has you going back for more… It’s the heart and people behind this company. I definitely recommend stepping outside of the box and trying the big dill. The mother clucker and snake bite are also chefs kiss.“

“This is a good, down to earth Pizza and Italian food place. It's in a bit of a fancy area but this place isn't fancy in the best possible way. Good food, good service. The garlic knots were great. The mozzarela sticks were OK, the pizza was pretty good. Very good value. I would definitely go back. They are doing a good job.“
“We have had our handcrafted toy booth, Tigerseyecrafts, at this event for a number of years. It is exciting and loads of fun. See you there.“

“We had the most delightful meal last evening. We ordered the Lasagna and one of their great salads and the two of us shared. Absolutely our kind of Lasagna, the best we've had anywhere in S Arizona. And the salad... Wow I would recommend Oreganos without hesitation. Thanks, we're coming back soon.“

“I really like that Greek salad a lot! I decided to order a calzone for the first time in 20 years and did the Italian beef and Italian sausage with a hot giardiniera and it was perfection! Good place to go watch a game if you don't have cable I don't know why it's not busier there it's a nice little joint to grab a bite to eat. Thankful for one of the few late-night options in the area.“

“Wonderful restaurant! I love to sit out on the patio (with the misters it's good even now unless you like AC and that is available, too) and escape for an hour. The servers take good care of me and I am free to read and just enjoy. The food is yummy. I like the chicken and pine nut salad, my husband likes the Chicken Caesar pizza and my daughter enjoys the Mac 'N Cheese.“

“The best pizza in all of Tucson, AZ! They are kind people willing to go to the ends of the earth just to take care of you. My food is always fresher than any other pizza place I have been too. I've seen a lot of mean customers and I don't understand that because this is my favorite pizza.“

“* Updated Review.
I started to order pizza again cuz I really do like the flavor of this place! But since I had an issue with the moisture on the last pizza I thought I'd call ahead and kind of it explain it. The woman who answered was off Standish from the start. When I explained the pizza was very wet in the center and ripped apart when I get it she tried to blame it on doordash. It happens when the pizza is too hot plus they didn't fold in the little circles to let hot air out. She had a pretty rude tone and the pizza was done so quickly I knew it was going to be wet. For that reason you've lost my business and I've gotten pizza at least 15 times
I would of gave 5 if you cooked it a bit longer. Was really soggy. Flavor was great and saved by the Air fryer. I got it on DD and was brought directly to me. Maybe they rushed cause he was waiting. Ill try again. Price was amazing.“

“I've been late with posting quite a few reviews but a few months ago, I had requested a large pepperoni pizza to be freshly for me and my girlfriend where we could eat at the food court and take the rest to go. We were accurately quoted a pick up time so we could still shop while waiting and the pizza was fresh and delicious upon our return. There were napkins and plates, crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese all neatly stocked as well. I am really happy to see Sbarro at this mall's food court! Great staff, clean layout and workspace, and surprisingly excellent quality since I remember back in the 90's!“

“Chariot's Pizza has 2 locations. This one at 3930 N Flowing Wells and one at 1807 S Alvernon #207. The N Flowing Wells restaurant/bar has a decent amount of tables and about 4-6 large booths. Their pizza is made with your choice of crust, depending on how crispy or doughy you prefer. They gave 2 tiers of toppings: your typical usual pizza toppings like pepperoni and mushrooms and a higher upgraded level of ingredients like Swiss cheese. They also have specialty pizzas like meat lovers or cheese lovers. There are some sandwiches on the menu. I highly recommend the meatball sub. And if you want to split a pizza with someone, Chariot's allows you to add toppings by the half. They have a rewards program but it takes a lot of points to get something substantial like a sandwich for free. And they don't tell you when you sign up that you can only use your points for dine in.“
