“While visiting Phoenix, AZ with family, searched and checked out online locations of local restaurants in the area. Found Leo's Island BBQ nearby on Bell Rd/77th, right across from the Arrowhead Town Center Mall. Went there and decided on ordering the Family Meals for 4 People (w/Chicken Katsu, BBQ Chicken & BBQ Beef w/veggies, Mac Salad & Rice). Also, ordered extra 2-Scoop Mac Salad, 4 Musubis & 4 Chicken Egg Rolls. The food was excellent, the chicken and beef were tender and tasty, but the Mac Salad was deliciously on point. Exactly as I like it (umami flavor (maybe w/a little MSG (?? who knows, oh yeah!) marrying with the Rice & proteins). The counter staff was friendly and cordial, place was clean and the location ideal (other option rather than the Mall's food court) if you prefer Local Hawaiian Plate Lunch meals. Overall, We absolutely enjoyed the food and I'll be certain to visit Leo's Island BBQ once again before we leave home to Vegas and CA...

“This place is amazing. Right on Lake Pleasant. Crowd is very mixed…I’m 52 but I party like I’m 29!! All ages here. Great vibe! Good Food and the waitress is on top of her game! We are here for the 4th of July celebrations! Fireworks later!!“

“We’re regulars at Manna - it’s a great experience and always delicious, but today was above and beyond! Emily was our server and she did an excellent job - making sure we always had what we needed, cleaning up our table constantly, and keeping things flowing really well! While everyone is amazing, Emily is our favorite and you should ask for a table in her section!“

“This place was so good it almost made me wish I lived in AZ again. I got a huge platter to go, I wish I remembered the name but it had like 17 kinds of meat 🤣 (ok, maybe not 17 but a LOT!). Meat was tender and flavorful. Cornbread was moist and literally out of this world. Can't wait for my next visit to Phoenix. This will be my "go to" for sure.“

“Ordered for delivery. The food WAY exceeded expectations. We ordered two mini meals - bbq chicken and bbq beef - along with an order of crab rangoons. The meat on both meals was so juicy and flavorful, the rice was cooked just right, and the macaroni salad was delicious. Not to forget the crab rangoons…which were some of the best I’ve ever had - flaky, crispy, and flavorful! If there was a Kahu in our town, we would for sure be regular customers. As it is, this gem of a place will have to be a tasty treat when we get down to the valley. 10/10 would recommend!“

“Excellent bbq. I love their brisket & turkey, along with their jalapeno sausages & creamed corn. It’s like one of those Texas bbq’s you see on TV where you have to eat everything on wax paper 😂 which was not an issue. I also love how there is a soda fountain. Only thing that could have been better is the bbq sauce, I prefer mine sweet but their’s is kind of bland. Still love the meat & the portions. 😋“

“I found Benny’s while googling best burgers in Surprise when we moved here 4 years ago. Their burgers are really good, but after I tried the Korean tacos I was hooked. Friendly service, prices are about the “new average “. The fried wings, polish sausage, just about everything I’ve ever tried has been great, and it’s always hot when you get it. The owner is a great guy who takes time to talk to his customers and make sure everything is good. I highly recommend Benny’s Burgers.“

“This place is PHENOMINAL!!! I’ve tried a couple popular BBQ places and they never live up to close friends who make this at home. Finally I found a place that is good or even better! I ordered the rib platter special and then put special of 5 meats where I picked pulled pork, 2 chopped briskets, burnt ends and some sort of rib. For sides we had baked beans, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and Corn nuggets. I had no idea what the nuggets were but basically breading fried with cheese and corn. So good!

I wish I had time to take pictures but my family of 5 demolished this. Some of my kids are picky but everyone just loved this food. So flavorful, so tender and just soooo good! We still have some meat left over for their lunches. This will definitely be going on my repeat list. This food would be great to order for a party!

I also want to give a shout out to the young man who helped with my order tonight. I wasn’t sure on portion sizes and told him I wanted to feed my family of 5. I told him what I was thinking of ordering and he rang it up and then figured out it was a better deal to upgrade to the platter of 5 meats. He was very helpful in answering my questions.“

“I ordered the catfish dinner and it was excellent. The fish and the fries were well seasoned. There was an onion ring in my fries and I don't usually eat those but I tasted it and week be getting them on my next visit. The portions were great and I was able to save a piece of fish for the next day.“

“Had the sampler. Ribs pork chicken beans and corn. Ribs were the best thing. Fall off the bone, no teeth needed. The pulled pork was delicious also. Beans simple and good. Chicken wasn't as good, dry, kind of hard. Next time Ribs all the way.“

“Was actually on the way to Texas Roadhouse but I mentioned I'd never been to Longhorn neither had my wife. So we went and I ordered the 22oz longhorn and my lady the 12oz New York strip. We also tried the chicken strips as an appetizer, Parmesean Fries, and Mac and cheese. All deliciously cooked to perfection.
Ordered medium well and got a medium well.
Impressed with our waitress Elizabeth. Attentive and Helpful she was the peak of our Longhorn experience.. the restaurant also has amazing ambiance and comforting atmosphere which had me struggling to stay awake after I had nearly put myself into a food coma.. 10/10 will return.“
