“First time visiting YC’s in Tempe. The Food was great with a large selection of veggies and sauce. The employees were very friendly and went above and beyond helping us. The manager was very friendly also and spent some time talking with us about our home state of Alaska. We now live just outside Casa Grande and would love a YC’s Mongolian bbq in Casa Grande area. There is nothing like this in our area.“

“Odd update because I was surprised after being away for a while.. The Mongolian beef seemed deep fried and the soy was overcooked making it taste salty. The teriyaki beef I was told it would be sweet so I asked them to put the pineapple on the side. They did but it was still marinated pineapple juice and super sweet.

The lettuce wraps and grilled pork potstickers were still fantastic.“

Qwik Chinese just delivered the best Chinese food I've had in Arizona, hands down! My two brothers and I had an incredible meal, and every dish was absolutely amazing.

I dove into the Mongolian Beef, and it was perfectly tender with just the right amount of spice and savory flavor. My brothers raved about the General Tso's Chicken and the Kung Pao Chicken, both packed with authentic taste and cooked to perfection.

The freshness and quality of the ingredients really shone through. This isn't just good Chinese food; it's a truly outstanding dining experience. If you're in Arizona and craving top-tier Chinese, you have to try Qwik Chinese!“

“My wife and I are from the New York Metropolitan area and miss "New York Style" (yes.... there is a "New York Style) Chinese Food. Jade Palace is authentic "New York Style". We had egg rolls (NOT skinny spring rolls that most Chinese restaurants in Arizona try to pawn off), Lo Mein, and an order each of their Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. Everything was fabulous. Do they cost more than any other Chinese Restaurant in Arizona..... YES. Is it worth the price. YES.“

“Had a truly excellent meal at Liz Modern Asian when I was traveling to Scottsdale. We were shopping at the new Lego store across the street and jumped in about an hour before they closed. Not being a huge fan of chain restaurants, we were delighted to find that this was a family-owned establishment.

The food was excellent and Liz herself came out to chat with us to make sure that everything lived up to our expectations. They even brought out a big bowl of fresh, homemade dumplings for our table to share. They were delicious. After chatting for a short while, we made our way out and, as we were leaving, Liz asked us if we wanted to wait a few moments she'd send us home with some fresh beef dumplings (the ones we had were pork)! Unfortunately, we were flying out the next day and couldn't take them.

I would absolutely go visit with Liz and her family again the next time I'm in Scottsdale and I'd recommend you do the same if you're in the area. And def try the dumplings--they were epic.“

“Ok, this is by far our favorite new restaurant!! We had the potstickers, SO GOOD, with the best sauce we've had since 1990, mongolian beef, amazing as well, and the moo shu pork which was fresh and delicious, including the crepes (tortillas). Each entre comes with a container of rice.
Jimmy and Ben were friendly, fast and professional and we'll be back very soon!
! It's not a large restaurant. You order and pay at the counter and they serve you at your table. I loved that everything, including the sauces, were served all ready to go in containers with lids, so you can eat and run!

“I went in to order for takeout. Very clean. The new owners are very friendly and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. .Ordered my food(Happy Family) and went home . I started to eat and noticed that the food was not what I ordered. Appeared to be chicken with vegetables. I could have called to tell them, but I drove back to the restaurant to tell them the food I received was not what I ordered. They were very gracious and gave me a whole new order(what I originally ordered ,Happy Family at no charge. I was not expecting another order, I just wanted to tell him what happened. He said friendship and good customer service was important. The food on both orders was exceptional !!! 5 stars“

“Walked in was welcomed immediately which was nice and they had a nice smile on their face then I said what I wanted and they go it done for me in litterly 30 seconds if not a minute which I suppose is easier when no one else is trying to get food but it’s was just the fact that they where putting a lot of effort that I liked. “We tried Chef J’s again because we saw that they had a grand reopening and had changed to a Dim Sum and Hot Pot restaurant. We were excited to try the menu because we’ve always wanted to try the dumplings and boa buns but never could decide on what to commit. This change allowed us to sample a lot of things we wouldn’t normally get and the staff was very attentive. It’s a little confusing, but essentially the menu shows a lunch price and a dinner price but you can do a the All You Can Eat, or you can order separately, as well as specialties or chefs entrees (which specialties and chefs entrees are not included in AYCE). But there were so many options to try, and that was a lot of fun to do as a family.

If you want to do hot pot, just make sure to mention that up front as they will seat you in a different are to enjoy that. If you’ve been here before, we recommend you give it another go for this different dining experience for lunch or dinner.“

“This was a nice location overall. The service was courteous and quick. The seating area was mostly clean. If you sit by the windows you can see the beautiful mountain range that's nearby! The mushroom chicken was the best that I've ever had from a Panda Express location. Unfortunately the pepper steak was lacking seasoning and very lackluster. I like that Panda Express always has some healthy options and most items are consistently delicious.

Vegetarian options: They have rice, noodles, and a mixed green vegetable side dish.

Kid-friendliness: They have a great "cub" meal. You get an entree and a side for your kiddo. You also get a drink and a bag of apple crisps. The portion is good for the price.“

“UPDATE: I think they are having some plumbing issues because I walked in yesterday 08/26/2024, and it smelled like sewage. Gotta keep it real, it's not cool when dining in.

This time around (08/26/24), I ordered a drink and they forgot it. I asked for a refund, and the manager does not know how to do it. So she said next time I will get the drink free with a new order. This experience made me want to go less.
I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, and it all tasted old except for the fried rice, like the smell of a dirty sponge, and so I threw it away. Do not get the sweet and sour chicken. Orange Chicken is your best bet.

They have their own in house chili oil and it is amazing. Savory and aromatic like garlic.

I've been to Ma and Pop Chinese Places, as well as the usual generic ones like Panda Express, Rice Garden, Dragon Garden, and Dragon Express. This place isnt the best I've had because of the dirty sponge taste from my last time here (08/26/24). It will move down a few tiers because this is the only place that has a dirty sponge taste to the food. The cost per portion is fantastic considering that this is located in the nice area of Scottsdale Arizona. You walk in, and the place was spotless: floors were very clean, and it did not smell like dirty oil. You can smell the sauces, as well as the charr when they are cooking your order. It does, however, currently as of 08/26/24, smell like sewage inside the restaurant. They need to get on that. The review below is from my first visit.

Today, I ordered the Orange Chicken dinner combo, which comes with your choice of white or fried rice, OR low mein noodles. It comes with an egg roll and a cream cheese ragoon, and I believe some egg drop soup. With tax, this cost me around $13, and I also ordered 8 pot stickers, and total this meal cost me $22, which is very cheap for how much you get. (PHOTOS SHOWN).

The fried rice was fire. It has this clean charr flavor from its cook, mixed with green onions, and has this intoxicating garlic scent that you do not need sauce with it. The orange chicken was crunchy, and not too saucy. It's drier than Dragon Garden's orange chicken, and less oily than Panda's. Just overall better. Flavor profile is predominantly garlic and something else I can't put my finger on. It's freaking delicious.

It's a nice, cool place to beat the heat, and the food and service makes me feel at home. Ranking from best to worst in terms of cost, portion size and quality, the order goes:

1. Dragon Garden
2. House of Yang
3. Panda Express
4. Dragon Express

They need to fix these things if they want me to come back:

-fixing the smell of sewage problem inside the restaurant
-forgetting simple orders
