My friend got the chicken jalfrezi which was also delicious, along with garlic naan and samosa. Delicious, I went here a few years back the the food is just as good if not better now.“

I had a plain cold brew that was delicious, also tried a seasonal iced drink but it was missing the cold foam it promised so that sucked it was not made as advertised. A few people were hanging out on their laptop.“

They partner with food trucks (tonight we had Comfort Nourishment… and it was incredible) bring in small batch wine and beers and have created a fun and inviting atmosphere! Hang out and play games, enjoy amazing drinks, and try new foods. Everyone was so friendly too—staff but also patrons. Felt like a community. Highly recommended and when we find ourselves here again we will be back!“

“We found Basil and his family completely by accident while visiting from Tucson. We were looking for a wine-specific liquor store, but google said there were none. While leaving the parking lot from a different store, we saw Down Time while we were on our way out. (Retro's subs and brews is a solid sandwich shop with tons of meat on your sammy, btw) and decided to pop in. We were immediately charmed by the very clearly locally owned store-front, making the best use of the space that they can. We did an impromptu tasting of 6 wines, though they have a huge selection of over 40. Reds, whites, sweet dessert, dry and oaky, and they have been doing wine for 20+ years. Basil was an absolute treat of a man, and we walked away with a case+3. You won't regret a sweet date night here at Basil's Down Time Wines.“

“Anytime me and my husband come to town we make it a point to visit Postino (Highland) as often as possible! They have amazing gluten free bruschetta boards and paninis! Great food for a great deal. The servers have always been incredibly friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back the next time we are in town.“

“I was running errands and wanted to see what the hype was of this place. They have the cutest market area that you can buy the products you eat (great idea)! I went for lunch and got the Ojai salad with salmon and my friend got the margarita pinsa. We split both and it was the perfect meal! The salad had such great flavor with crispy skin salmon and the pinsa was the closest thing I’ve had since Italy! The staff is super friendly and attentive. I highly suggest this place to anyone who wants to feel like they’re in Italy! Couldn’t recommend this place more!“

“Lovely tasting room in the heart of Scottsdale. The look inside is understated, modern, and just a little moody. It really lets you focus on the wine as a centerpiece of your experience. They had good reds and whites. As my bachelorette party had around 10 people, it was nice that they were able to accommodate us. The individuals who work there really have the perfect balance of ensuring we had water and wine but also allowed us space to enjoy our time together!“

“This is my favorite restaurant I've ever found. If you want filling, flavorful, authentic Italian food, you HAVE to try it. Every dish my partner and I have tried has been amazing. Wait times are short, the atmosphere is welcoming and unrushed, and they have a great selection of drinks. There will be something for everyone. The fact they partner with other local businesses is another favorite selling point of the restaurant for me. Keep doing what y'all are doing!“

“We stopped into Black Sheep for happy hour and it was such a good call. Great pricing on beer and a chill atmosphere to go with it. I tried their smoked old fashioned and it was smooth, balanced, and just the right amount of smoky. I finished with the affogato and it was the perfect sweet ending. Really solid spot in Chandler for drinks, good vibes, and a relaxed afternoon break with the husband. I’d definitely go back.“

“Pleasantly surprised when I stopped for a quick tasting here. Giovanni went above and beyond by helping me choose wines for the testing based on my preferences, and added a lot of color on the wine making process and tasting notes. Wine itself was good for Arizona, but unique enough that it's worth a try no matter how snobby you are (the viognierwas a stand out!). Live music on the weekend as well. Would highly recommend this zpit for the level of service and unique wine.“

“I am a bit behind on my food reviews for this year but that doesn't mean I haven't been to some really amazing places to eat. I absolutely have. In January we chose Seasons 52 for a date night.

Angela was our table side waitstaff who helped me choose the perfect cocktail, offering to substitute it if it wasn't to my liking - but it was. I ordered two Hawaiian Pineapple Comos!

Lobster bisque was creamy, warm, and delightful. Next time I'd get a bowl all to myself instead of sharing! haha :)
My surf and turf was outstanding - the filet was cooked perfectly and the lobster tail was tasty.
The pork chop was perfectly cooked - juicy with the right amount of char to it.
The stuff mushrooms were hot, fresh, and very tasty. I'd get them again.

The crowd pleaser absolutely was the dessert and dessert options. Small they may be (and I may have even said that I'd pay just to get it in a FULL SIZE drink cup lol) but mighty in taste! After all the food we had, the size made sense though. Hats off to the dessert chef!
