“I definitely recommend salad and go BUT now that they switched the potatoes in the burritos I would not recommend for breakfast. I used to get the burrito so my LO and I would split and not he cannot eat it since they decided to add a very nasty seasoning to the potatoes- not even I like it. Please bring back the only potatoes. Thank you.“

“I just randomly saw this place. Having no clue what this Mexican food joint was all about. Luckily my Spanish is just okay enough, that I figured it was a vegan place. And the nice young lady at the register confirmed that for me. She even helped me to navigate what the faux meats were made from. As a meat eater myself. Sure the carne asada and el pastor didn't really taste like the actual meats. But close enough for me to still enjoy. Though, vegan Mexican food still sounds blasphemous. But I promise you it's not.“

“The food was amazing. I was taken aback by a $15 price tag for the garlic bread, but it was worth the price. Our table was still talking about it even after the rest of the amazing food. The entree prices were very reasonable, most of them $21-$29 each. I ordered the baked canneloni and it was so good. Someone ordered a pizza and loved it, too. I know it's conceited to say--but many times I eat at a restaurant thinking my own cooking is just as good. Not at The Sicilian Butcher--I couldn't begin to replicate the delicious food we ate.“

“I've been here twice so far! I've enjoyed both experiences. The atmosphere is really homey and calm. The baristas are super helpful when deciding what to order to drink. I was recommended the Bolla Sausage with green chile. Between the coffee and baked goods. The quality of the bread, fresh produce, and coffee drinks is phenomenal. I wish I started coming here sooner. This is another local staple shop for me. Hopefully, in the future, they can extend the hours. either way, Love it! Keep doing what you're doing here :)“

“The food & service was excellent! My husband had The Glendale Burger & his choice was a side salad. He said it was excellent & really liked the pickles they put on it. I had the Fish Fry with Cole Slaw & Cajun French Fries. Loved the flavor of the slaw. The Cajun fries reminded me of the restaurant we used to go to in Louisiana. Portions are great. I highly recommend to stop & eat or try their bar.“

“The wait was long, this is a popular place. The dinner was to capacity with tables and chairs, there is no standing room if there is no immediate seating you will have to wait in the parking lot, there are a few lounge chairs outside.
They had plenty of options on the menu but Today we tried the pho and grilled pork roll with peanut sauce. I asked for a smaller portion but I was served the biggest they had and it is impressively huge, if you're starving this is the place to go. There was a lot of meat and sprouts for our pho. The dishes do come in three sizes. The grilled roll was tasty.
On this side of the city this place is ok but we won't travel to visit again, there are better places for the same price.

Kid-friendliness: Wouldn't bring small children here and there is no room for high chairs

“Our family was celebrating my mother's 86th birthday and made reservations for 26 family members. The minute we walked in servers were ready for our drink order. The atmosphere was excellent sitting outside. We had great service and the food was great. Servers came and said "happy birthday" to my mother.“

“Went here for the first time tonight and I was so delighted by the food! The gentleman working there was very kind provided me with a sample of their Samboosa and it was delicious! They have this pink sauce that it came with that is so amazing. We also ordered gyro and chicken shawarma plate, which were both so so good! We will definitely be going back. Had great ambiance and looks to be owned by a nice family who are all working there together.“

“First time coming for taco tuesday and did not disappoint. Greeted immediately and sat at the bar. We were the only ones dining in (until a family of 4 came in after we'd been there for a bit) and were given chips, guacamole and salsa right away. They do have a good tap beer selection but unfortunately only had a few bottled beers available at the time. They have a small liquor selection as well. Interior was clean, nice music and TVs.
Asked for a hotter salsa and she brought out 2 others that were very good. Ordered the 2 craft taco special for $12 (came with refried beans and Mexican rice), el jefe and drunk chicken. Shredded beef was tender, chicken was marinated and very flavorful. They use blue corn tortillas which is a nice change of pace. Will definitely be back to try other food items. Also did not know they serve wings, chicken sandwiches and other fried foods.

I also highly recommend the chicken salad both on your salad or as a sandwich on one of their amazing croissants. The best chicken salad EVER!! “Top marks across the board! My family and I have been dining in here for years and have never had anything but good things to say about them. So for our wedding my wife and I had a German themed wedding that could be described as an old world decorated ceremony and dinner with an Oktoberfest reception. Anyways, we needed food to be catered and there being only about two restaurants in the valley that could support this, we were able to come to an agreement with Chef Luis and his staff here at Haus Murphy's. This was a wedding planned for a max of 175 people to attend, there was not that many to attend but we ordered enough food for that amount of people. Our request was for giant pretzels and stuffed mushrooms for the cocktail hour with their mustard and cheese dips. Main course was Eisbein, The BIG Smoked Beefy Bratwurst, Kilometer, spätzle, potato pancakes, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. Chef Luis nailed it!!! The food was definitely one of THE MOST talked about hits at our wedding and I could not agree more! I love this place and it will always be high on my recommendations for friends and family who visit the valley and is a Downtown Glendale treasure.“
