I found that the sauce was flavorful but not overpowering. You were able to taste the sauce as well as the other toppings. The crust was nice and soft.

“We are quite happy with Boom & Batten. We love the food, the view as well as the atmosphere, for the most part. One of the issues is what makes my husband feel uncomfortable while we are trying to enjoy dining. The choice of music is not suited at all to fine dining. It is so unpleasant that my husband asks to leave as fast as we can & at times, he prefers another restaurant. We have mentioned it few times but nothing changes. Gentler music would enhance our experience considerably. The other disappointment is mine. I love the grilled cauliflower for either breakfast with two poached, for lunch with the beet & goat cheese salad. I enjoy it for dinner as well. The unfortunate part is that the portion I am served lately is barely more than half of what I was served a mere 6 mos ago. I am always left wanting more.“

Delicious pizza always fresh. 6.99 for 2 very large slices by todays standards and that includes a drink. Would pay 10 just for the quality of the experience. I think a lot of people should try out this place the one on quadra Street and Gorge and you're really get bang for your buck I noticed even their pastas really good too and they have delivery or you can go pick it up and they have pretty good prices too. “The pizza dough was thin but seemed overly chewy, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that? It was our first time so have nothing to compare it to.
The inside of the resturaunt is kind of dirty, there was actually a trail on ants coming in from the wall, eating something left on the floor near our seat.
Definitely room for improvement.“

It makes sense when you realize this is the passion project of a Twitch streamer, and the comparative hassle of getting your hands on a pie doesn't matter when you try the end product: a fantastic focacia-like dough loaded with toppings and featuring Detroit's signature cheese crust. Toppings are in reverse order like a Chicago deep-dish, spread out to the very edges of the pan (hence the lace-like crust of seared cheese) and then finished with "racing stripe" dollops of sauce.Pickup is currently at The Joint--the pizza-maker uses their kitchen while livestreaming the entire pizza-making process--but I wouldn't be surprised to see this become a full-time thing with its own storefront.A single $25 pie fed two adults with plenty of leftovers.“

“Cosmos Pizza in Tillicum is the real deal. The Spinach Special is the best pizza in town. So much flavor, tons of garlic and onion, just perfect. Their Cosmos Special is also amazing. And the crust? Best I’ve ever had. The CHEESY edge is actually ridiculously good.

“So listen I see some reviews saying they took a long time to get their food. And it’s true. But are you going to a restaurant cause you’re in a hurry? Or to hang out with friends or family? I’m in no rush, if I was I’d have gone to Mc Donald’s drive through. To me what’s important is the food quality. Atmosphere and the staff quality. Our server was awesome friendly and on the ball with refills and such. The food quality was great I think they have some of the best pizza in town. As far as atmosphere it’s a great little place.Make a reservation because there’s not a ton of seating. My pop came in a mug that had been in the freezer so it was perfectly cold just the way I like it. Oh also the food was super hot so you know it came straight out of the oven. Pizza dough is supposed to puff up and its that air inside that makes the crust melt in your mouth, good..! This dough is flat (especially in the center 2/3's of the pie.. it's like the cheese penitrate the dough preventing it from fully rising or imo properly baking. Trust me I'm not a crank, I'm serious, there's something wrong and it's probably nothing to do with the oven. I will try again in the future thanks.“

The person who took my payment was friendly and efficient and on seeing I was struggling to carry everything, immediately began to help and carried my order out to the car in the pouring rain. My pizza here has been fantastic every time, with awesome consistency, accurate timing and great service.

The only improvements i can think of are stocking a good peppercorn ranch and updating their online order system. It works but feels like it was designed 20 years ago and was awkward enough to navigate that it dissuaded me from ordering more than once initially. Im glad i did in the end though, the pizza is one of my all time favorites.

Pro tip: specify the meat on top so it gets crispy. Unless you are a ghoul who likes wet cold cuts under your cheese.“
