“Ordered 5 large pizzas on special for a birthday party. Everyone got their fill and it tasted great.Pizza was fully cooked and the cheese just starting to crisp. Perfect.I ordered over an hour ahead of time. It was steaming hot outa the oven right on time. Made it back to the party with enough time to still need to blow it cold for my daughter.Definitely recommend for any pizza party in the area“

“I consider myself a pizza fanatic, and my range of great pizza extends to legends like Di Fara, Johns on Bleeker St., Kestes, Spumoni Gardens, Gino's of Long Beach, Frank Pepe's in MA, Regina's in Boston, and some greats in Chicago that I can't remember off hand.

This pizza was a solid NYC 7.6. I had the meat lovers and it was well balanced, with all the flavors standing out. It had a very nice Italian seasoned meatball, crispy bacon, large pepperoni slices (I prefer the smaller kind personally). I think the total flavor of the pie was lacking a cohesion that would elevate the pie. The pizza was cooked just right with minimal flop and a perfect undercarriage. It had a pleasant amount of red sauce that also was nice and garlic-ie. The cheese was not over done and while it has reg and fresh mozzarella, it don't over power the pizza given all the other flavors on it.

I will definitely go back next time I visit and try a different pizza. I definitely recommend this place. Not only because of the pizza but because the staff were great going above and beyond to help this poor tourist enjoy there pizza. (It's a take out only establishment FYI).“

“They usually forget my dip when I order delivery, but last time it happened, I was having a hard day and I had a mini meltdown. Normally I don't care that much because it's like a dollar for the dip, but it was one of those days where my happiness and mental stability rested on this dip. So I called to complain about it (which I really didn't want to do because I felt very pathetic getting upset over a dip), but to my surprise, they actually made a second delivery trip to my apartment to bring the missing dip and they were so kind to me at the door. 5 stars for that! “Fabulous Large Pizza for $8.99 with Brooklyn Pepperoni, Mushrooms and Green Olives. I highly recommend adding hot chili peppers and garlic/seasoning, but my preference for this pie is to have without oregano. I chose normal sauce, normal cook and single cheese. For a pie sliced large it is sublimely foldable for authentic new york pizza experience. Truly a great pie. Enjoy, John!“

“Excellent pizza. Some of the best I've ever had. Staff are great and friendly. The only reason for the 4 star, is that it's not a full scale restaurant. It mostly caters to takeout. Although there is an outdoor patio for warmer months.

The person who took my payment was friendly and efficient and on seeing I was struggling to carry everything, immediately began to help and carried my order out to the car in the pouring rain. Cons:
1. Gluten smart pizza isn't good at all.
2. The crust is plain & chewy, almost like naan or flatbread with no taste/ seasoning. It's difficult to eat or enjoy because the pizza is so dry.
3. Minimal sauce or toppings
4. Price is not reflective of what is received. ($5+ extra for this gluten smart)

I feel bad for writing a review but I think it's important As it leaves room for improvement.

5. The other negative experienced, was ordering & paying for the gluten smart pizza and having it be full gluten. They were great at remedying this and gave a credit on our account which was so appreciated.

Overall, aside from the gluten smart pizza,it's good.
But please get a different recipe for gluten smart, and improvement on the topping. Ty! :)

“Been getting pizza from this joint for many many years and is simply the best we have had around victoria. Some bad reviews seem to be revolving around non pizza menu items. I exclusively get pizza here with my go to being bacon pepperoni feta. There does seem to be a small amount of variation from time to time but i have never had soggy crust or anything bad about the pizza.Ive never written a review but after seeing the review score i simply have to leave a review giving my honest opinion.The crust is nuts with crispy cheese baked all the way to the edge and slightly sweet tomato pizza sauce that i absolutely love. Stick to the pizza and you should be fine. If i had to watch this place close down i would probably ask to buy the recipes.“

“Although we order often from this location because of the many specials, which are great, I do have one complaint. I find that the
pizzas are not always uniform depending on who is making them. Also, many times the pizza is not cut all the way through.
This is difficult to handle with a thin crust pizza. On the other hand there are other teams that have been on duty and the pizza has been exceptionally good and cut all the way through.“

“I really liked the pizza from Papa Johns, near Tillicum Centre, Victoria, BC. Tanaka, who helped me with my order, was a kind and helpful person. He helped me with a lot of options to choose from. I ordered a large pizza with 4 toppings. I tried thin crust for the first time, and it was worth trying. The franchise owner is a kind lady. 3 months before, while I was waiting in the bus stop near to Papa Johns, she was distributing free pizza's in connection with their opening. Honestly, I was really hungry as I was going home after work. She gave me a full pizza.

“Ordered online via app, there was a mistake with order upon delivery (ordered chicken caesar salad, salad came with no chicken). I decided to submit feedback online thinking it would not amount to much. A few hours later the general manager Susanne called and left a voicemail to offer a genuine apology and a small refund back to my credit card which was an amazing gesture of customer service I did not expect at all. “All three of my room mates and I used to order from Athena's about 25 years ago but I had to move out of town for work. When I got back to Victoria, these incredible guys were the first place I called for the "moving back" dinner for all my friends who helped me that day. The chef at Athena's makes the best foot long donairs I've ever tasted anywhere. Every donair is stuffed full of meat and the herbs and spices will send you to the moon. "No Lettuce or Tomato Just Extra Onion" is my fav and their sauce drizzled over the meat is just phenomenal. I am a pretty big guy and their donairs are the size of my forearm but the flavors are mind blowing. Every Greek salad is made when you order with so many fresh delicious ingredients they need to use a domed lid to contain it all. Once you add their homemade one of a kind dressing, you will take your taste buds to another world. I often enjoy the awesome Greek salad alone as a meal, with a massive dinner plate sized piece of their heavenly garlic toast. I recommend Athena's to all my buddies and pass out their cute little menus because they fit right in your wallet for easy ordering when your racing home in traffic. The people working there are friendly and take care to make your eating experience a hit. Last winter during a snow storm, I ordered a donair and salad before I headed home from an appointment down town. Everything was hot, fresh and ready to go when I arrived, but a person in training forgot to add my donair sauces to my bag. I phoned them right away to see what time they closed because the snow was coming down really hard by the time I got to my place at Mt Doug. After I explained that my sauce was missing from my order bag, the wonderful owner who answered the phone, personally sent her delivery man all the way to my home through the snow, because she wanted me to stay home where it was safe from the storm. That was so incredibly nice, because I am disabled and she was worried about me driving or possibly slipping in the snow. Wonderful people and incredible food so I hope everyone will give them a call.

“Lunched there today with my friend and was happy enough with service. The menu has quite a variety of food, including pizza and other Italian foods plus everything from burgers to Quesadillas and Thai bowls. My friend had the chicken and spinach quesadilla with feta cheese special that came with a chicken vegetable soup with kind of a merky broth. My friend had a few spoonfuls then left it.
The quesadilla looked a good size and kind of pale but generous enough that my friend took some home.
I had the three fish tacos with battered cod. The sticks of cod were plenty long to the point of awkward and the cod was such a tiny strip that it was pretty much non existent. It came with bits of lettuce and chopped tomato and a ton of chopped red onion. A nice slaw with cilantro would have improved it. The plate came with coloured thin tortilla chips and tasteless quscamole. Salsa would have been nice. Chipotle sauce was drizzled on top. Although it looked very pretty there were a few misses in flavour. Plus the tomato and red onion were falling out of the stiff corn wrap and the chipotle sauce running down my hand.
I ate two and brought the other one home. The dessert , warm steamed ginger spice cake with Carmel sauce and whipped cream was delicious. The service was good and the waitress very pleasant. I would have ordered salsa for my tortilla chips if she had of returned once the meal was served up.
The decor was dated with the old wood tables and the walls could use a freshen up with some 2024 colours.“
