“Rude server - My wife's first experience going out after giving birth. The male server peaked over her shoulder while she paid and made a rude comment when he saw she tipped 'only' 15% on a $20 cocktail. Completely ruined her night. Train your staff better.“

“Love this cozy venue. Come with others or sit at the bar by yourself, you'll find them equally enjoyable. Good food, great beer list and consistently friendly service. Also close to the 257 Express bus to horseshoe Bay. Awesome place to hang out until you have to catch the bus to the ferry.“

“The staff is so disrespectful! We arrived at this place around 12:35pm and the hostess said they would have a 35 min wait list. We said ok, got our names in the wait list and left. After 35 min I came back for a time check and the hostess said more 30 min wait. We have a toddler and 1 hour wait would be too much for the toddler. I asked to talk to the manager but the hostess said there was no manager on duty that day. I insisted since that wouldn't make any sense. After begging to talk to the person in charge, finally someone showed up. The manager was even more disrespectful than the hostess - she kept this ironic smile all the time and said that the hostess removed our names from the list by mistake but nothing could be done, not even offer us the top of the wait list and we had to go to the bottom of the list again. She also said they were doing the best they could - I left without saying a word since keep discussing was just pointless - when I walk out the door I just heard "and please don't come back". Just don't come here.“

“I recently dined out with my friends, and it was an amazing experience! We ordered Cheese and Charcutries, flatbread, fries, ribeyes steak and their famous Crispy whole chicken. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish exceeding our expectations. The service was impressively fast, and our server Paris was incredibly professional, attentive, and friendly, making us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was exceptional—perfectly designed to create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We had such a great time and can’t wait to return. “Recently found the perfect spot for a late-night bite! This Japanese restaurant offers a $25 late-night special where you can choose three small dishes—a great deal! There are plenty of Japanese dishes to pick from, and it’s hard not to order a little extra. The sashimi is especially impressive, with thick, fresh slices that are so satisfying, and the sushi is also fantastic.????
My top recommendation is definitely the fried squid—perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You’ll keep reaching for more! Plus, the server was not only super friendly and attentive but also very charming, taking care of every little detail and making us feel so welcome. The place is clean, comfortable, and just a relaxing spot to enjoy some late-night food.♥️♥️♥️
And the best part? Parking is super convenient, with free spaces right outside, so no worries about finding a spot after dinner. Overall, this place is ideal for a midnight snack or casual drinks, and I highly recommend it!???

“Stopped in here to seek refuge from a mid-day sun shower and so happy we did.
Tucked away in a less than inspiring alley, you enter to feel the warmth of a cozy little tasting room. Red brink line the walls and soft dim lights bathe the long spare room. The counter is accented with an array of colorful piggy banks which serve as placeholders for table reservations, very cute.
Our hostess was super friendly, and helpful in serving up two wine flight trios. The Proyecto granacha we had was the standout but we were happy to try all of them.
We lingered here for quite a while before continuing our walk through Gastown. Recommended if you want to break your day of exploring with a leisurely glass of wine.

“Went on a Friday night with my 2 friends.. order 3 different ones (Niku, Shio & Carbonara) and upgrade all bowls to XXL for free. Also, an appetizer, ebi mayo. The place wasn’t that busy, so it was nice. Service was ok… the main dishes were on the salty side.“

“My husband and I are Saturday morning regulars. We find the quality of the ingredients are excellent and think White Spot has the best multigrain toast! All the servers are delightful but Liam stole our hearts and makes us feel so special! What a great guy and a wonderful asset for White Spot!“
