“The staff is so disrespectful! We arrived at this place around 12:35pm and the hostess said they would have a 35 min wait list. We said ok, got our names in the wait list and left. After 35 min I came back for a time check and the hostess said more 30 min wait. We have a toddler and 1 hour wait would be too much for the toddler. I asked to talk to the manager but the hostess said there was no manager on duty that day. I insisted since that wouldn't make any sense. After begging to talk to the person in charge, finally someone showed up. The manager was even more disrespectful than the hostess - she kept this ironic smile all the time and said that the hostess removed our names from the list by mistake but nothing could be done, not even offer us the top of the wait list and we had to go to the bottom of the list again. She also said they were doing the best they could - I left without saying a word since keep discussing was just pointless - when I walk out the door I just heard "and please don't come back". Just don't come here.“

“A group of friends visit Provisions Italiana located on the main floor of the Seaside Hotel. The mussels were spicy and great. You could find slices of truffles in the delicious Funghi Pizza, a thick and pillowy soft Chicago-style crust. Other dishes included Carpaccio, Caesar salad, Linguini al Vongole(clams) Our server took great care of us.“

“I went here last week Tuesday and Jenna served us. Jenna was so nice and hospitable and she had such a fun bubbly personality along with giving us speedy service. Made the whole experience enjoyable. I also really enjoyed my breakfast, the eggs benny was fantastic!“

“Rude server - My wife's first experience going out after giving birth. The male server peaked over her shoulder while she paid and made a rude comment when he saw she tipped 'only' 15% on a $20 cocktail. Completely ruined her night. Train your staff better.“

The wide selection of small bites to filling dishes make this a terrific place to gather. We felt warmly welcomed and well cared for.“

Big selection of beers. We had a flight of 3 beers from Changing Colors all were delicious. We were suprised the flights were so big, I think they were 14oz.
This place has great atmosphere and vibes and was definitely a highlight of our bar experiences. Will definitely return.“

Stick to the classics and you can’t go wrong - pricewise, it ain’t bad for this neck of the woods. It would be nice if they served tea but the server was very good about keeping my water glass filled.

“The best and friendliest people. My flight home was cancelled at 10pm and my phone was dead. This was one of the only places left open and I decided it was my best shot. Instantly I had multiple workers ready to help me during my very bad night. They took the time to talk to me and understand the unfortunate situation that I was in. They charged my phone, were preparing to serve me great food and beverages on the house, and were all making sure I was okay. I felt very welcomed by their friendly service and smiles. When I had to leave, every worker was saying goodbye to me like we had known each other for a long time. Incredibly grateful for everything this restaurant offered me. I went from worrying about how I was getting home to making friends with a smile on my face. People and an experience that I will never forget.“

“A great landmark that has been around for over a 100 years under different names. Recommend by the concierge at our hotel and so glad that we took his advice.
Food, service and vibe are exactly what a diner should be. Take your kids so that they know what a diner was like…before they are all gone! Old jukebox, door handles shaped like cutlery, tabletop seating, the checkered tiles and fake leather seats…what’s not to love! Bottomless coffee, friendly servers, one main cook in the little kitchen making all the food. Love it! Eggs Bene was the real deal.
Checkout for very old milk fridge with a dispenser that probably worked at some point!“

“I've come here three semesters in a row with a big group for a jazz concert after party, and while the service is slow due to understaffing and the fact that it's more primarily a bar than a restaurant, the food is always good and the staff are super accommodating. So if you go with a larger group, be prepared to wait. Some might find that poor service, but those people haven't worked in customer service! I always enjoy the vibes here“

“Haven't been to Yuu for a while and we went back last week. Price didn't go up much despite the inflation. Kids order some special drink and the staff even gave them a small ice-cream cone to top it off. Great gesture. Would definitely be going back more often.“

“First time for us, attended a private function. Food was delicious and filling. The service was outstanding and extremely attentive. They had a vast array of sake and after ordering the sake flight (sampler tray), we found a few options that we really liked and ordered a couple of bottles. The sashimi was very fresh and delicious. There was an assortment of dishes that we tried that were on par with many of the high end restaurants, such as the egg omelet with crab ankake and the BBQ eel Unagi rice bowl. Street parking was easy to find. We’d definitely come back to Hashigo Sake Bar.“

“Their lunch specials are affordable and tasty. The service for lunch time on the weekday wasn’t like dinner. There’s only one staff on the dining area and she always disappears. No water refills at all until we asked for it at the very end. No big deal since the lunch was so cheap and we didn’t expect any service. Still going back for food. Recommend.“

“I asked the waitress for a recommendation and told her I wanted the biggest dish and something authentic from the restaurant. She suggested the carpaccio, so I decided to try it. When it arrived, it cost a little over $20, but the portion was quite small. Since I’m not really used to eating raw meat, it was a new experience for me. It wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t what I expected when I asked for something large.

My girlfriend ordered a pork bowl, and hers was actually very good and a generous portion. She enjoyed it much more, and it felt like better value for the price.

One interesting part of the experience is that you have the option to sit on the floor when you enter. You take off your shoes and sit in a more traditional style setup. It was something I had never experienced before. Since I’m tall, it was a bit uncomfortable for me, but it’s definitely unique and could be fun if you want to try something different.“

“Their ramen is delicious! Usually we don’t eat ramen because their soup base is always very salty. But we gave it a try and loved the soup which is perfect and the ramen is crunchy. The charsiu is also cooked well. I love their Hokkaido ice cream the best. Wednesday is free for members. That makes it even worth it to eat at this ramen restaurant.“
