“Recently tried their new location - More on the Shore (located in the Coast Marina) and had the Crispy Cod Tacos. So good and the candied jalapeño jam really adds to the flavor. Next time I need to try their ice cream sandwiches. Check them out as they are a must try!”

“Pleasantly surprised when I stopped to pick up a takeout sandwich. Do not be put off by the price – the size is at least 2 to 3 times that of a sandwich you would buy anywhere else. Plus, it includes house made fried potatoes. Quality is superb. Homemade bread is made daily. Turkey is house roasted and organic. It is piled high, topped with cranberry sauce. Also extremely friendly service.”

“We were just down in CR for medical (from Port Hardy) and finally decided to stop in after hearing how amazing this place is from friends. Our server was Anna and she was absolutely incredible! We both ordered a clubhouse, my husband on the sourdough she recommended and myself on marble rye as that is my fav. He has worked in restaurants for 37 years and said this was probably the best clubhouse he had ever had. Being in the industry we were (non creepily!!!) watching the staff, every one of them were not only keeping busy the entire time, helping each other out, they all looked like they were having FUN. We will absolutely be back when we are down next! Keep up the amazing work and thank you Anna for being so friendly, allowing space for conversation while still ensuring you are taking care of all your guests. 😊”

“Absolutely amazing food every time I go here!! Yesterday, after a long day of moving, I treated a friend of mine and myself to a much deserved meal! We got a little bit of everything. Salad rolls , Spring rolls, Pork sticky rice cakes, The golden Char, Vermicelli bowl! Nice and fresh and quick too!! Staff was very friendly and welcoming.. I highly recommend this place!!!”

We had Levi serve us he is a great treat himself perfect server (good service is hard to come by you rock!). We followed up the dessert with delicious Ramen. Trusted our server to pair our meal with drinks, wine and beer were a great match. We have been here many times food and drinks are always great.”

“*DID YOU KNOW: all of their croissants are baked in a Nordic oven which, is why they’re slightly darker and more crunchy. Aaaand, did you know that their pastries are all true sourdough which has been fermented for four days before they develop the pastries?🥐 ☕️ They don’t offer syrup, because they’re Nordic coffee shop not American style. This place is unique. Honestly, I had no idea and, this just makes us place even more special!”

“Really nice service and food. We ordered the special smoked salmon rösti today, and it was absolutely delicious — crispy potatoes, fresh fruit, and perfectly balanced flavors. As a recent transplant to Vancouver Island (less than six months ago), I was fortunate to stumble upon North Island Brewing Corp, and I can confidently say this place is a gem. Having brewed my own beer for years and visited numerous breweries, I can attest that this is by far the best overall experience I’ve had.

The brewing quality, the expertise, and the attention to every detail of the craft are simply unmatched. Jason and his staff truly know their stuff—they’re not just great at what they do, but they’re also friendly and welcoming, which adds to the experience.

The beer itself is incredible. I’d happily travel long and far for this brew, but if I had to go even farther, I wouldn’t hesitate! North Island Brewing Corp sets the bar high for what a craft brewery should be. Highly recommended to beer lovers near and far!

“It was a walking distance from our hotel, so we decided to give them a try. We ordered their Tray B and the vegies tempura.
The tempura was good, but a bit on the greasy side (in comparison to tempura in Japan). The sushi has a good balance of texture, temperature and subtle umami. Tray B portion was definitely more than enough for 2 people. It can easily serve 3 people.
We'd come back if we're in the area again.”

“This intimate little restaurant was a real find 🥰on my way through Campbell River! The food was great and service attentive, friendly but unobtrusive. I have had Thai food in other places in Canada and other countries and these dishes were delicious and authentic. I had the Thai Papaya Salad which came with a nice amount of the house dressing, as well as the Kristy Special with tofu as my protein selection. Being vegetarian, it was great that I could select the protein for any dish; that is so rare! Usually I am stuck with one or two options, but here I could paid tofu with most of the offerings. I had also asked for medium spice and it didn't disappoint 😅. The vegetables were generous and were not overcooked, and came with a generous helping of rice noodles and the tofu. And the portions for both were large enough that I saved a portion to have another day. Even though the place was at capacity, service was efficient, friendly and timely. If you love Thai food, I definitely highly recommend this place in Campbell River! 😋🇹🇭”

There was a young server and another with a German accent that were ontop of things, very friendly, and very customer orientated, can't say enough good things about those ladies. We will be stopping in again next time we are in town. A must go to pub.”
