“First time and would definitely go again. The Owl's Nest is a warm feels like home bistro, nestled in the heart of Chemainus. You'll feel relaxed and a little taken back, with the country like decor...(making me think back to when being at my Nana's house as a kid)A relaxing/chill vibe the moment you open the door. The aroma of fresh brewed coffee, the smells of home cooked bakery and other dishes, will have you wanting to return again and again.“
“Tucked away on Kenneth St down town Duncan. Such a quiet, calm, relaxing atmosphere, well decorated in cafe style with sufficient seating inside & out.An abundance of delicious fresh baked treats, breads, drinks & much more.Quality is superb & pricing is very fair. The gentleman & lady that served me were friendly throughout. This is a must visit if your wandering in town or just want to sip coffee & relax“
“We were celebrating a couple of b'days and with one person not able to eat unless it was gluten free. The baked goods were all AMAZINGLY fantastic. The rest of us could eat gluten and every one of us thought it was all fantastic. The choc mousse cake was the best cake ever! The cheese scones and blueberry scones were all delicious and huge. The raspberry cheesecake muffins and the macadamia white choc cookies were all amazing and delicious as well. My company heading down to Victoria went to Wild Poppy on the way and picked up some items for their celiac daughter and grandkids.Thank you very much Wild Poppy!“
“Absolutely incredible!!! I had the sausage roll and the chocolate covered cream puff. Trust me when I’m telling ya, you will not be clean after eating the cream puff but you will like it and be happy. I’m so excited to have found a little bakery with quality food! Good job guys!!!Kid-friendliness: My littles ran around waiting for their yummies and everybody was smiling and laughing with them.“
“My first time visiting Gibby's Cafe and WOW! Simply delicious! My 2 year old and I got the grilled cheese on sourdough with fries and the Veggie sandwich on multigrain to go. Both were perfect, exactly what you're wanting from a sandwich. The fries, classic homemade diner crisp yet soft and not greasy. Will definitely be back gotta try the breakfest menu asap!Great portions Fast, friendly service and Fair prices too!Forgot to take pics as it was that delicious!“
“Great place! Located in the center of Duncan, this little café also containing a small shop is a real cozy little corner where you can enjoy delicious pastries such as an absolutely delicious strawberry chocolate scone, hot coffee and protein smoothie! I recommend 100% for a relaxing time :)“
“Perfect Small Town Bakery [Chemainus BC] The community of Chemainus has this great little bakery. It was a 12-min drive from where we were staying in Crofton. We came here twice -- Sunday (unfortunately, they are closed on weekends). Business hours posted on their window are Mon-Fri 7:00a to 5:00p so we came back on a Tuesday afternoon. The different pastries in the display case looked so pretty and inviting... they even have egg rolls! I tried their Coffee Cake w/ Crumble Topping... not too sweet, just delightful. I also had the Apple Fritter... mmm, scrumptious warm apple fritter. I also bought a loaf of butter crust bread to take home (husband looked at me funny).Service was A+. Seating available inside and outside their store for those who enjoy sunshine. Delicious pastries at very reasonable prices. Even better deal when I saw the conversion from CAD to USD on my bank statement. My loaf of bread was a little over $2 USD.Review #3156“
