9 Best Barbeque Restaurants in Coquitlam

“Stumbled upon this restaurant on Canada day after the fireworks at the nearby Lafarge lake. We were surprised it was still open so late! It’s not a Michelin style fine dining, but let me say this, if you are looking for an authentic Korean food experience, you’ll find it here. Service is fast, no nonsense, no over exaggerated descriptions of the dishes, straight to the point meal options. And unlike the popular Korean bbq experience (which I also enjoy), this is different that it brings you the culinary experience of what a regular Korean family would cook and serve at home as their daily meals. I was so impressed by their pork feet meal, it took me back 20 years to the days I would enjoy this dish as a snack with beer. It was truly a nostalgic moment. Another thing to be mindful of… do not assume you can handle these family size portions. They are there to bring you comfort not just in the duty of flavour packed dishes, but also in the size of the meals! We ended taking a lot of the food home cos we were bursting at the seams by the end.

I will absolutely come here again.

“This Korean BBQ spot is absolutely one of my favs in Lougheed. The pork and beef bbq and also side dishes were as flavorful as they were plentiful. The bibimbap was super comforting and the soups were rich.
The store was quite busy but very welcoming with the staff.“

Weekend craving for fried chicken hits, and the reviews looked good, 10 minute drive, so decided to try it out.

In short: SO good.

The pork belly bao was unnnnnnnreal, the soy garlic chicken was super tasty and the spicy chicken was solid.

Small location, seems like a family business (maybe mother and daughter?) who were both very friendly when I picked up the food and the food was ready in 10 minutes like they said.

“Very Kind servers(all of them) and good foods. Prices are on the cheaper side, too. Chicken skewers and mapo tofu(Our order is no oyster sauce, just spicy with peppers), fried squid, spicy fish dish are our favorites. Most dishes on the menu are good. Draft beer was fresh. They offer you one small snack for free upon arrival :) I can smile every time I come here.“

“I think a lot of other reviewers have echoed that meat quality is great and I can confirm it is true. I visited with a party of 4 people and we ordered the Gooi-ga Special. We were prepared to order more but it was enough for us.
The BBQ set came with a variety of meat and seafood and the tofu soup was delicious. They do not have a lot of seating so you are at the mercy of luck if you don't reserve a seat or get on the waitlist. I would definitely come back here with friends again! The only reason for the 4 star is the lack of seating and unpredictability of getting in or waiting.“
