“Had the spicy clams, lamb skewers and spicy cold noodles. Clams were big Manila clams, the sauce could have been stir fried and mix better with the clams. Some of the clams had no sauce on it but still tasted good. Lamb skewers were good. It alternated with a piece of meat and a piece of fat. Also had a lychee such but there were still bits and pieces of ice in it. The atmosphere is great! Felt like eating under camping light which is the theme of the restaurant.“

We booked for 5:30pm and left at 8pm and not by choice. We took our 7 year old. His food came within about 20-30 minutes. While we got our miso, edamame and salad one at a time, It took over an hour to get our BBQ meat, and longer to get our bowls of rice. 2 1/2 hours to get our bill (with me stopping someone to ask for the bill). Our son was super excited to cook meat but was getting upset with all the waiting. Quite honestly, the 2 adults with him were too. But I would give it a try again because the food was good“

“This is my favorite Chinese BBQ place in Richmond so far. It's so inexpensive and tastes amazing. I usually split a 2 meat on rice with my boyfriend for $14.50. We get the char siu and sausage. I like the anise or liquorice-like spice they use in the sausage! Also, the staff are friendly and accommodating (they always give us extra utensils when we ask).“

“I had a great experience at Mr.Beigai BBQ in Richmond ! The atmosphere has a fun, authentic street-style vibe while still being clean and comfortable. We ordered grilled lamb kidneys and grilled baby corn, and both were cooked perfectly. The kidneys were tender, flavorful, and well-seasoned without being overpowering. The baby corn had a nice smoky char and paired beautifully with the spices.

We also tried the cold cucumber and peanut dish, which was refreshing and balanced with just the right amount of tanginess. The shredded tofu salad was light and flavorful, making it a perfect complement to the BBQ. Portions were generous and the pricing is very reasonable for Vancouver. “If I could give Galbi Korean BBQ 6 stars, I would.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We went on a Sunday night and expected a wait, it was about 45 minutes but absolutely worth it. We ordered the Chef’s BBQ Combo D, and it was more than enough for all of us to leave completely full. They continuously refilled our sides and sauces, so we were never without anything. Everything felt clean, organized, and really well run.

My personal favourites were the marinated beef short rib, the fresh salad, bean paste soup, scallion salad, and the cheesy corn — all so flavourful and perfectly done.

This is hands down one of the best spots to come with your partner or a group, where you can relax, cook together, and actually enjoy the experience as much as the food. We’ll 100% be coming back. 🔥🥩“

“I cannot believe that I have not visited this place earlier. Before I ordered it, I asked what the potato noodle is like. And the staff explained to me very well. And I ordered the most popular one at this place. Spiciness was medium and meat was beef. Visual impression of the food was so home and cozy. And the taste was deep and rich. Perfect spiciness. And the best part was noodle. Its texture was between udon noodle and tapioca noodle. Pleasantly chewy and noodle didn't get soggy quickly. I enjoyed this food til the end. The only thing that I was little disappointed was the portion of meat. There was just some pieces but I was so contented with this flavor. Overall, it made my day, and I would happily go back there hopefully every week :)“

Finally got to try this popular roast meat place that always has a line! Luckily, the wait wasn’t too long — about 10 minutes. Watching the chef skillfully slice the meat was impressive. I bought the honey-glazed BBQ pork and the honey pork jowl. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos, but if you love a rich honey flavor, you have to try the pork jowl — it’s absolutely delicious! 😋“

“This is my go-to Korean restaurant. There's nothing fancy about it, just great food with big portion sizes. The kimchi is the best I've had and they have my favourite banchan item as well - this potato in a sweet savory sticky sauce. You only can refill one banchan and I always go for the potato. It's so good they should put it on the menu as a side dish of its own. If I could only recommend one dish it would be the ddookbaegi bulgogi - great on a cold winter's day.“

“I’ve been to this restaurant several times, and Karen is by far the best staff member I’ve encountered. The first time I met her was on a busy weekend dinner — she was working at the front desk and remained patient, friendly, and welcoming despite the long line.

What impressed me even more was tonight’s visit on a weekday dinner. She was serving tables, and every time I needed something, she responded quickly and always with great manners. When I went to the self-serve snack area, I even noticed her tidying up the trays and arranging the food beautifully during her spare moments. This level of attention to detail is truly admirable.

Previously, I brought friends here and happened to encounter another waitress whose attitude was very lazy — chatting, avoiding service, and always pushing tasks to new staff. That experience left a bad impression on my friends.

“I ordered one of the platters. The fried chicken was hot and juicy. Brisket was super tender. Ribs were great as well. The biscuit was really soft and moist - probably one of the best biscuits I've ever had. The beans had a bit of kick to it which I really enjoyed. I didn't get any of their drinks so I can't comment, but the food was delicious. Only complaint is that the service was a bit slow. Ended up waiting half an hour for our food - but the wait was worth it considering how fresh everything was. Will be coming back again. The fried chicken was my favourite part.“

“I just googled a place that sells cornbread. When I pulled up, the guy was just coming out of the smoker with the brisket. So I bought some brisket.

It was delicious, I took it home and made a sandwich out of it. I will go back and check out some other items, but the brisket was delicious.“

Passed by this place a few times before finally give it a try. Walked in very hungry and had expected it to be like other skewer places where they bring you the cooked food. However, this place is more unique! The skewers are cooked rotating style in front of you. At first we were fairly unhappy because of how hungry we were but was honestly super happy by the end. The food was very yummy!

We ordered skewers that were $1 per skewer. There’s not a lot of meat on it but whatever meat is there is juicy and yummy.

Recommend the lamb and beef! The lamb was super yummy. Their self serve spice also adds to the flavour.

One star docked because the chicken wings were below average and took forever to cook.

The servers were really attentive and nice! We were having trouble determining when the food was actually cooked. So they came around to help us check!

One star docked from atmosphere because the table and chairs were fairly uncomfortable to sit in. For a restaurant where you’ll be there for an extended period of time due to waiting for food to finish cooking, the chairs should really be more comfortable!

Overall a really enjoyable experience. Only come when you’re not super hungry because it takes a while before you can actually start eating. Unless you order some cooked food like fried rice (which we did).“

It's pretty rough around the edges: It's a crowded dining room, my water kind of tasted like 7up, The crab wasn't really cracked and no tools to do so. The food is definitely above average though. Portions are pretty generous, better with a group, not a great date spot.

Seeing not a lot of people I was wondering would it be good, but I was blown away.The skewers are cheaper than outside and just tasted so amazing. Seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. Eating outside with the setting sun definitely sets a good mood to enjoy the food.Definitely need to try the lamb kidney, chicken knee, chicken soft bone and meat, beef tongue, and must order the Naan, it is more Northern Chinese Naan bread, and it is so soft and pillowy, we ate both of them so quickly.A must try in richmond.“
