“We made a reservation for dinner on Apr 22nd because we went the weekend before and it was 1 1/2 hour wait. The food was really good but small portions. We booked for 5:30pm and left at 8pm and not by choice. We took our 7 year old. His food came within about 20-30 minutes. While we got our miso, edamame and salad one at a time, It took over an hour to get our BBQ meat, and longer to get our bowls of rice. 2 1/2 hours to get our bill (with me stopping someone to ask for the bill). Our son was super excited to cook meat but was getting upset with all the waiting. Quite honestly, the 2 adults with him were too. But I would give it a try again because the food was good“

“So Point Roberts is incredible, especially during the off season, during which the tavern was the only spot open in the evenings so I ended up going several times during my short stay. Everything I had was lovely!! The burger I got my first time here was far better than I had anticipated!! And I ordered the poutine which, although wasn't my most favorite, still came out good and was a very large portion. They also have a dog treat menu which simply makes me happy as well as I was able to get some amazing sunset shots!! I specifically returned to take a few sunset Timelapse videos. All the workers are incredibly sweet and very helpful!! “Good sushi - would returnHad dinner here. They offer bbq which we didn’t try. Had the chirashi don, salmon oshi, chicken teriyaki, chicken udon and gyoza.The fish on the chirashi don was fresh and melted in your mouth. They were thick cut portions and you were given plenty. The rice was done perfectly as not too soft and seasoned properly.You can taste the heat from the jalepeno on the salmon oshi. I’d prefer they remove the seeds to dampen the heat. You get a piece of avocado in the middle of the oshi compared to other places that use a small piece of salmon.My husband and daughter enjoyed their cooked dishes of udon and chicken teriyaki.The menu was on a tablet which wasn’t convenient as all four of us couldn’t scroll through it at once. I’d prefer regular hard copy menus for each of us. Also the categories on the tablet made the menu hard to navigate. Luckily we all knew what we wanted mostly before coming in but it would be difficult for those who want to browse and see what the restaurant offers.You get free ice cream at the end which is nice. Service was fast and friendly. Overall I felt the quality of the fish was very good.“

Fish cake and shrimp was fresh, veggies were fresh, and the meats were good quality served on a plate of ice.Broth was a bit disappointing. Both the white pepper and the Szechuan broth had no flavour to soak the meat, could have used more salt or richness. Tom yum broth was great however. And there’s also sauce provided to dip your meat.Service was decent, and you can get ice cream to end your meal on a sweet note.“

“a BBQ Place…In the Asian culture, BBQ meats play a big role especially during special holidays and occasions; use often for praying and offering before become yummy to the tummy.This place has been the few BBQ places I frequent quite a bit over the last decade and probably one of the top 5 Chinese BBQ places in the greater Vancouver area according to some. There is always a lineup here from opening till closing and insanely crazy during special Chinese holidays.The exceptional quality here comes with a little higher price tag. The skillful cutting of the meat and presentation does show quality and wouldn’t be an embarrassment to your guests.I think all the whole suckling piglets, BBQ ducks and free range soy chickens I ordered here over the years are enough for me to start 2-3 farms myself.Here were the BBQ I ordered last time;1. One whole BBQ squid. Fresh and tender, not my thing but relatives liked it.2. Free range soy chicken. Nicely done, like it when eating it with ginger and green onion sauce. (Paid extra for more ginger and onion sauce but never got them lol)3. Roast pork (3 bones). I always preferred with the actual bones because I always find meat more tasty when bone in (my mom always think I am crazy paying for bones lol)This place is located inside Parker Place Center, quite compact and the lineup gets pretty long during peak hours (don’t try to cut in line, you’ll get a mouthful from the aunties lol).The service is pretty basic like most BBQ take out places so don’t expect a hug and kiss from anyone. Just go hug and kiss your meat!The food here is okay. I tried ordering a whole suckling piglet the same day but to no avail, therefore, always order such items in advance. I just have to settle with what they have. Like I said, the price here is a bit higher than your average BBQ place, about $140 for what I ordered this time around.“
