Flavor is good, has tabouli salad which is unique for donair places. Donair with decent portions is getting more expensive.“

“I went in for dinner with a couple friends, having never tried East African cuisine before, because I really wanted to try injera. We got the vegetarian combo for two, kapreto, and hummus, all to share, and oh my lord. Every single part of the dish was absolutely incredible. All of the flavors were so good, on their own and mixed together with anything else. Every bite was different, the varying levels of spice played so well together, the meat and vegetables were all so juicy. We dug in so fast that we didn't even take pictures, we ate until we were all completely stuffed and there was still food left on the table, and before tip it was a little under $20 per person. I haven't been blown away by a restaurant in a long time. The server was very sweet as well. Going to be coming back here again and again!“

“I visited Donair Dude , couple of days ago, and I was pleasantly surprised! The donair was packed with flavour — the meat was juicy and perfectly spiced, and the sweet sauce was just right. The place was clean and had a relaxed vibe, although the seating area is a bit limited if you're eating in. Prices are fair for the portion size, and you definitely leave full. The real star of the show was the food, very delicious, amazing portion size (had dinner and lunch for two), and we really enjoyed everything! “I don’t normally leave reviews for fast food spots since my experiences are usually quick and easy, but I left this location today (Sept 8, around 4:45pm) feeling a bit disappointed.

While ordering, the staff member preparing my food added pickles, which I hadn’t asked for. When I mentioned it, he thought I had requested them. I really dislike pickles and always make sure to leave them out, and since they were chopped and wrapped inside, it wasn’t something I could just remove.

What stood out most to me was the interaction. In my own work in restaurants, I’ve found it goes a long way to simply apologize and make the correction, rather than debating with the guest (he seemed really annoyed with me). The food was remade, which I appreciated, but the exchange left me feeling uncomfortable and not as positive about the experience overall.

As a suggestion, it might help to double-check with customers before finalizing toppings and perhaps adjust the tipping option so it appears after service is provided. I think those changes would really improve the guest experience.“

They’re great for private events as well, we held a celebration of life dinner there with dinner and dancing and everyone was amazed. Bill and Stefan have kept this place amazing for over 2 decades. “While I've eaten in the restaurant numerous times, it has become a favorite to order it for home delivery. Every meal I receive is excellent and piping hot. I couldn't be happier. I have taken to ordering extra potatoes to have with my own home-cooked meals the following days, too. You won't regret eating at Yiannis. I love the roast lamb dinner, the dolmathes, which are my main choices. Sorry, I have no photo to share. I'm too eager to eat my meal and never think to take a photo.“
