“A favourite bar in Vancouver for light snacks & aperitifs. Barra 41 is the bar attached to Minerva's Greek restaurant (which has been around forever) and serves the same great quality food from it's kitchen. All the food & beer on tap is good, and you can also order from the restaurant menu. The atmosphere & service of this bar takes Barra the next levrl. Highly recommended and worth the trip to karisdale. Happy hour specials are offered daily from 3 - 5 PM.“

“We had a medical appointment nearby, with about 40 minutes to spare. We saw the sign for Yianni's and thought we'd give it a try. We were greeted immediately by Kelsey. After explaining that we were in a bit of a rush, she assured us that it would take less than 15 minutes to receive our food. In fact, it took only 10! The prices were extremely reasonable and the food was quite tasty. Kelsey was perhaps the most friendly and efficient server we've ever had. We will definitely return in the future, as we'd like to try more of the menu.“

We felt like trying them out again, and were very happy as always with the service, the lovely atmosphere, and we were pleasantly surprised that although many restaurants have reduced their portion sizes, while at the same time increasing their prices, My Greek Taverna still offers a good portion at a fair price. We will be driving out to Newton in the future....so worth the drive. Also, Jeannie always remembers I don't take cucumbers in my greek salad, and she advised our waitress, Sophia (also great) before I even told her. “The best shawarma in town. The meat is NOT processed like all of the other shawarma/donair places. Delicious roasted lamb, chicken and beef. “I've been coming here for years...it perfectly satisfies my monthly craving for their chicken shawarma - ALWAYS the same: a generous portion of moist roast chicken and a much sauce as I like... I'm writing now because recently I had one of their "baclavas" and I had almost forgotten how fantastic they are ( and I am very picky): the pastry is very moist ( not dry and dense like they often are elsewhere) and the nut filling is ground to a very fine texture- not clumpy- ( no pickin' at pieces stuck in yer teeth after!).
