“We arrived on a Sunday at 1pm, were able to park within 100meters of the location, there was two people ahead of us in line and we were seated inside within about 5 minutes. The staff greeted us with warmth and easy smiles into an atmosphere that was cute and intimate. The menu was somewhat challenging to decide from as every item was very compelling and a refreshing twist from tradition. However, I am a sucker for Shakshuka, my wife couldn't get past the banana bread french toast. The wait for the food tested the patience of most but in good company and pleasant atmosphere it was not that challenging and well worth the wait. The food that arrived was truly delicious, immaculately spiced, legitimate epicurian delight. Real fusion yet considerate to the structure of a dish. The price was very fair. We will go back and I am excited to bring others to share the experience.“
“We grabbed a few different items to cook for dinner and everything was delicious!“

“This is one of Victoria's highlights. Bunny's is a hidden gem of a cafe and one of the few places to get a decent latte, flat white, or cappuccino. The food is good, but the atmosphere is cozy and community-oriented. The best way to describe Bunny's is that it's like coming back home for the first time. We're originally from Ontario, and stepping into Bunnie's, it was a quality cafe experience without any of the pretentiousness downtown. Just make sure you have some time to kill because once you get to the cafe, you won't want to leave, and they do close early.“

“These people brought free sandwiches to the striking postal workers. The sandwiches were really good and we wanted to patronize them so we went for a Saturday brunch and had the Chorizo skillet. Delicious. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.“

“We really enjoy coffee and treats and occasionally lunch in this lovely spot. The staff are great, the venue charming. The outdoor water views are beautiful. The only thing I would suggest, is to add few savoury baked goods, for those of us without a big sweet tooth. Savoury scones, sausage rolls etc for a small sustaining snack😊“

“We're soiled for cafes in Langford these days, but Ponchos is still my go-to. As a regular now, I shout its praises whenever possible. You can't go wrong with incredibly friendly staff, who do their absolute best to provide exceptional service and make you feel welcome. Food is fresh, filling, with plenty of options for smaller bites or larger meals. (Personally, I always go for the Ponchos Breakfast Sandwich.)
Alongside your usual drink options, Ponchos also has a seasonal/rotating drink menu that is always creative and delicious.
I appreciate the laid back, personable vibe of the cafe, holding onto a cafe experience that feels nostalgic.
In the heart of Langford city centre, this cafe is a hub for local news and catching up with loved ones. Highly recommend to anyone living in Langford and passing through.“

“We were visiting Victoria and by chance met Fadi- one of the owners who told us about his family’s cafe. We LOVE Lebanese food so decided to check it out for lunch. We had chicken shawarma donairs and tabouleh and loved it. But most of all his family is so kind and warm and the cafe is super cute! Thank you!“
“Had a blast here. The owner was spectacularly passionate about board games and made everything fun. Right now, the prices at Board with Friends TOO cheap, not sure how they stay in business? Hopefully they will raise it later. Take advantage of it while you can!“

“Each time I visit, I am greeted by the calmest, kind man! They serve drumroaster coffee, so you know you're in for a good cup! ( any local coffee heads know drumroaster is the best on the island.)
The library section is super well curated. I always find a good read here!
Amazing matcha as well, and some vegan options are available.“

“Super cute family business with friendly service. Although the coffee isn't the best, the breakfast bagels for around 7 CAD are amazing and the homemade banana bread aswell. Everything is very decently priced and tastes amazing. Perfect place for an affordable and quick breakfast! Not the most striking place frome the outside, but definitely more than worth the price!!!“
“As tourists used to the likes of Starbucks, Bows was out of the ordinary for us as the menu is classic and minimalistic, without the additives we are used to. However, customer service was excellent—they talked to us about what we liked and helped us curate a drink to our tastes, and they were very informative. Our coffees were delicious, as well. If we are ever back in town, we will return!“

“I’m originally from the Carolinas and my husband and I have lived in Victoria since 2019. We’ve been walking past Shanzee’s for a while now and decided to have breakfast there this morning. It didn’t disappoint. The biscuits and gravy were just like “home” and my iced oat milk latte was just what I needed. The Blue Grit pancakes were unique and delicious. Thank you for being here! We’ll definitely be back.“

“Honestly this is my favorite place for pizza! They use forest mushrooms which they harvest from local forests. And the best part is a sourdough base for a pizza which is so unique for Victoria and I think Canada generally. I really recommend this place, the best pizza!“

“Courtyard Cafe
Cute spot for a specialty coffee, smoothies and snacks. Cafe latte was delicious. Homemade premade sandwiches, bowls, wraps and soups are a delicious option for a quick bite to eat. Yummy homemade muffins too!
Great customer service and acoustic cover songs playlist“
“I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner! The owner is so sweet, the coffee is good (and cheap!!!), it's quiet, the tables are spread out so no one's talking bothers you. I got like 2 hours of studying/work done, and then had a calzone for lunch. The food is okay, but its like 6$ for lunch. This is a must for any student who can't study at home, and out of office meetings- take your meeting/client for a stroll and grab a latte! I will most certainly be back often to finish my assignments and then simply to enjoy watching downtown passing by!“
“I order food for someone who really needs it. High praise to those who started Red Cedar Cafe and its excellent service to the public. You are heros. The food is healthy and nutritious and caters to a variety of tastes. High praise too to everyone who has carried on delivering these much needed meals to all of their grateful recipients. You are also heros who deserve much more praise. I also love you have a sliding scale so people who can afford it can donate or even order a meal themselves. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is because ordering on line is a little too complicated. I am happy to give suggestions to improve this if asked. Currently, it is my understanding that only agencies can call in with orders. It would be nice if luddite individuals could also just phone in. When I go on holidays the fellow I help goes without meals.
Dietary restrictions: If I were to be requiring this service I would need more gluten free options.
Kid-friendliness: You help families. Bless your hearts.“
“Staff is super friendly and they put an effort to get to know you. The food is decent, the prices are a little high, but this is all mostly to accommodate the large variety of menu items and the nature of a cafe for the office workers. The menu change every week and usually takes about 5 mins to get your food after you order.“

“Habitat Café is a delightful spot in Colwood, perfect for a cozy meal or a quick coffee break! The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal place to unwind after exploring the nearby Royal Roads University or the forest trails.
Parking: Parking is convenient, with ample space outside the café. It’s easily accessible, making it a stress-free stop whether coming from a hike or just out and about.
Restrooms: Restrooms are available inside the café, which is a definite plus for visitors.
Menu Offerings: The menu features a fantastic selection of options, from hearty breakfast items to delicious lunch offerings. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito—it's flavorful and filling! Their baked goods are also a treat; the fresh pastries and muffins are perfect with coffee.
Food Quality: The food is outstanding. Everything is made fresh, and you can taste the care in each dish. The ingredients are local whenever possible, which adds to the overall flavour and freshness.
Hours of Operation: Habitat Café is open daily from 8 AM to 3 PM, making it an excellent spot for breakfast, lunch, or a mid-afternoon snack.

“I am a former bakery owner, service snob, and passionate foodie. I’m very fortunate to have this establishment in my neighbourhood as they do a great job. My main reason for visiting is the gluten free muffins and scones. I’m a celiac and I’m telling you- it is hard to get gluten feee baking right. These muffins/scones are moist, flavourful, and unique. Certainly worth a try for gluten free-ers and full-ers alike! Great work, Fresh Cup!“
