“The assorted tempura is magic. They use thick pieces of veg and must double fry it because it is very substantial. It is so deliciously dense that if the Circle K was being robbed, I could throw my tempura like ninja stars at the bad guys to knock them out. Then hopefully get another container of it because it’s so good.“

“From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, the professional and attentive staff take care of every detail. Restaurant is large - it has great ambience, the layout provides a personal and intimate feeling despite there being many tables. The food is superb, we plan on returning to make our way through the great menu. It is the best place we have eaten at in Canada for food, service and ambience. We highly recommend the seafood tower as a way to taste through some of the menu. The grilled octopus rivalled what we have eaten in Italy. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and expertly curated.“

“We decided to try this place to get away from regular everyday sushi. It is amazing, all the dishes we ordered were perfectly made and tasted amazingly fresh. The place is a bit more expensive but it is worth it.

Also try out the Corso Sweet Potato Amber beer. It's really good.“

I'm newly celiac and the staff worked very hard to come up with substitutions to accommodate a strict gluten free diet and avoid any cross contamination. “5 stars. Been going there for years growing up and the probably have the best value platters out there for special events. Taste wise, they knock Fujiya out of the park and are able to add their spicy mayo or teriyaki sauce to any of their rolls. Super kind people running the place too :)“

“My go to sushi restaurant.
I have dined in and dined out with sushi ya for as long as I have lived here and I have never had anything less than great sushi.
I usually get the love platter to share with my wife and it’s enough food for two adults.
The price is reasonable for what you get and when delivered the boxes usually have cute drawings on them which is a nice bonus.

“Friend at work told me about this place. I have to say it really exceeded my expectations. The rolls were massive and the flavours were right and the vibes were vibing.I love sushi and after my experience here it will be now be my spot. “It is a great service and place I order a ramen but I usually order regular noddles and Instead I order udon I wasn’t much a fan of them but I also tried same thing but regular and it was so tasty and good, we order some nigiri toro and Saba, I expected to be fire flame first but it was raw which is completely fine but in some Japanese they do it for Saba nigiri that is fire for bringing flavour to it. Overall I enjoyed the experience :)“

“Great place to just grab lunch and relax in a down-to-Earth sort of vibe. Straight-forward, tasty food. Sometimes I ask for half a scoop of teriyaki sauce since in can be taste too sweet and overpowering if I eat here often. Not as budget-friendly as McDonald's, but great value nonetheless if you prefer regularly having Japanese food over McD. Wish there more more cheap, practical places like this to get ethnic foods in general.“

“The food was delicious and filling for the big bento box. The options for the big bento are great and I recommend the 8 piece avocado roll instead of the 4 piece California roll.

However, if you're looking for early morning breakfast, they recommended to come back in an hour after opening for two big bento boxes.
