“I have been coming to this location, 5th street, for a few years now. In fact I had lunch there today with my dad. The staff there have always made us feel at home, they ask how we are and chat with us creating a very nice homey atmosphere. Your not just another customer coming through they make everyone feel like family. Plus the food is always top notch, very good portion size, fresh tasting ingredients. Our tummies are always happy when we leave, haha. The restaurant is always clean and tidy, staff ensure they are cleaning often to maintain a safe clean environment for customers to enjoy their amazing food.“

“I was at the food court on May 8, 2025 and the older lady that cleans the tables with the brown hair and glasses loves to hit people with her cart and laugh about it.....I have seen this happen a few times by her. It was quiet in the food court so she likes to hit seniors and laugh about it and go back into the doors and hideout...they get hurt by it too.“

“Ive had the calamari from them countless times, but it had been awhile. Had an order of the calamari today. Food tasted great as usual, but the portion was approximately half of what it used to be. Updated.... I stopped by the next day and mentioned my portion was really small and they compensated for the portion. I really appreciated their customer service, and will continue to spend my money there.“

“I was a customer on Saturday Oct 4th 2026. There was a young man working who was wearing a hat, glasses and had nailpolish. I was SO incredibly impressed with the pride he had in his work. He was polite, caring and took extra care to make sure there was no wilted lettuce or dried sections of any of the toppings he put on our sandwiches. If I owned a business I would want this guy on my team. If I lived in Nanaimo I would frequent this shop jus to have him make my sandwich. I'm actually going back to Nanaimo this weekend and I will make an effort to return to this subway shop.“
