“My dining experience at Carbones was exceptional from the friendly owner/server who made sure we were taken care of from the moment we arrived to when we left.The food is incredible, I had the fig and goat cheese pizza and the funghi half and half. “Family style restaurant, friendly service, great comfort food, big portions, not much else to ask for.Ordered the poor Italian, was big enough to feed the family lol. 2 different types of pasta, loaded with sausages, and the sauce was just a bit spicy to really boost the flavours.I also tried a bit of the lasagna and man, that baked lasagna was so amazing, I'm definitely coming back to get my own next time.Parking was a bit hard to find though during lunch hours, but worth it.“
“I went for many years not liking Domino's. I had refused to go back there as found their crust just didn't have the flavour and texture of other pizza places that I would frequent. Kinda reminded me of cardboard. Boy has that changed and now I order REGULARLY. Their new hand tossed crust is just amazing and I definitely recommend. Also, I never enjoyed chicken on pizza before and would never order it. Tried their BBQ Chicken Bacon last night... the bbq sauce on it is awesome and our new "go to" for when ordering from here. Dirty dishes with the food every one is handling the food no gloves or any thing. Owner ripping off his employees. Place is a real letdown hopefully all pizza places are not the same. “Stopped here for dinner while travelling to Victoria. Someone came over as soon as we arrived and offered us a choice of booth or table. Both my partner and I had the chicken strips, which were fantastic! Finished it off with some chocolate cake. Overall a great experience and we plan to make it a regular stop on our way up/down the island.“

That faraway Fresh slice wouldn't refund me, and I felt distressed about not receiving any dinner to bring home. Our Nanaimo Bowen Fresh Slice manager and staff were very kind, extra helpful, and understanding of the mix-up, and they made us a duplicate order on the spot. “Red Swan Pizza Nanaimo We decided to try Red Swan after someone posted on FB and we quite enjoyed their pizza! They have some great regular combos and specials, decent prices, & friendly staff on pick-up. We ordered online which was really easy with all the choices to build the pizzas up or down, add special requests, do half toppings if needed, and choose the pickup time! They were prompt and the restaurant was clean with a typical minimal seating pizza style space. The man serving at the front said they have been open for 6 months now and it's a Prairie Franchise that has grown in SK and AB. We tried both crusts and really enjoyed the flavours of both of the pizzas we got - "All Meat" with Traditional Crust and "Tuscan" (chicken) with Thin Crust. The toppings were plentiful and our pizzas were baked to our satisfaction. Another nice touch was the sesame seeds on the crust (optional)!! We also decided to try the nachos which have lots of toppings and great flavour but aren't a super great choice for take-out only because they don't stay as hot and fresh as we would have liked (should have re-baked them) and the cheese ends up sticking to the paper so you have to pick it off. Overall, we'd def order from here again and recommend to others.“
