“This place is very comfortable,friendly and not only with the staff but also the other customers! I was here on super-bowl. The food was very good and happy hour was great too with prices and the one thing I was really impressed with was the happy hour dishes were not smaller portions and were the same size as usual! Clean restrooms, lots of parking!“

“The Landlubber has some of the best pub food I have ever had. Almost everything is made from scratch including their pickles! Yum! They also use real butter, fresh herbs, as well as interesting ingredients that you don't see anywhere else. Highly recommend! The staff there are so friendly and welcoming too. Over-all an awesome place to go with friends for great food and service!“

“Tried the new weekend brunch menu. It was huge portions! Best prices in town on food and drinks! I had the potato pancakes which are very hard to find anywhere these days. They were crispy and generously covered in bacon. I tried a bite of my dining partners french toast. Best I've had anywhere. I'll be going back next weekend to order that.“

“On September 1st 2023 My friend and I went for lunch and sat out on the patio. The food was terrific and our waitress was amazing. We were reluctant to go there, but we decided to take a chance, and we are so glad that we did. This jewel of a pub will be our go to for our outings. I can't say enough about the great service we received. Thank you so much, it was a real treat.“

“Stayed in the hotel for about two weeks. For us it was perfect, the new renovated rooms are super comfy. The pub downstairs is super chill, with a very local group of regulars.
Kid-friendliness: Kids allowed until 8pm.
Wheelchair accessibility: Through the hotel entrance at back.“

“I absolutely LOVE this place. The atmosphere, the people, the amazing staff and the vibes are just next level.
The food is delicious. Their chicken strips are SO good and the nachos are some of the best I have ever had!

“The prices were a lot lower than expected compared to other pubs in the area. The Wheatsheaf burger and Reuben were both fantastic. They were fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. There was a small hiccup with the takeout order due to a miscommunication with the kitchen and pub making us wait a while, but the food was worth the wait. Definitely will be back.“

“All the staff have been amazing through every experience I’ve had but if I had to shine the light on a specific staff member for such impeccable service it would be Greg who never fails to show up, bringing such joy without knowing the impact. Today marks a special day in our hearts, my partner and I just announced our first pregnancy and we ordered takeout to celebrate. I walked in a starving customer happy to end a long and exciting day but left forgetting about hunger and ultimately felt community. I’m so happy that browns social house has such an amazing team and someone like Greg who brings the experience into dining. Thank you again greg, we now have one of those wholesome life time memories to share when we talk about one of the biggest moments of our life!!“

“I love the Jingle Pot Pub. The food and drinks are pretty average but the service goes way beyond average. Sherry is a fantastic server and an integral part of this establishment. She always greets us with a warm welcome and provides outstanding service. My husband comes with his hockey buddies and I go with my girlfriend. We all love Sherry. She has a great sense of humor and an incredible memory. I highly recommend visiting for a great atmosphere!“

“Work trip Lunch in Nanaimo, another awesome restaurant in an old house. There are a few in Nanaimo, definitely worth checking out
Got the last available table when I got there at noon, definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time
Food was awesome, the chicken wrap was amazing, tomato soup was great as well. My colleague had the clam chowder, it has more clams than soup, I recommend trying a few different items on the menu. All very tasty
Service was good, friendly staff.
