Cinnamon bun is not overhyped, best one I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to also stay at WOODS next time we’re on Pender :)”

“I don't know why this place has any negative reviews, because our experience was amazing. Like a lot of the reviews, the highlight was the poke nachos, but the mussels and fries was incredible, and the salmon burger was fantastic too. The service was great (I will say we are here in the off season, so maybe that makes a difference). We were trepidatious about coming here because of the low rating but we were so pleasantly surprised. Give this place a chance! We are so happy we did. Also lots of gluten free options!”

“Have had sandwiches and baking during the day before and all was wonderful. The porchetta sandwich was ahmazeballs. Finally got in for dinner tonight. Absolutely top shelf experience. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and subtle. I had the ling cod croquette appetizer: texture super smooth and the pickle sauce was perfect. For a main I had the rolled turkey with rhubarb, fiddle heads and turnip. Beautiful plating and the dish was delicious. The rhubarb was very subtle and tender and turkey was juicy and flavourful. Desert was the brûlée tart with rhubarb sorbet. Again delicious. If only we lived closer this would become a frequent special event restaurant. 100 percent, you should try it. If you are heading to the ferry, try and take the time to sample this hidden gem.”

My cousin and I were originally going for happy hour so small bites but the food was so good we ended up sharing the tuna tartare, which had a little kick and so scrumptious, the seafood steamer with clams, mussels, scallops and prawns all so tender and the sauce so delicious we ordered a side of bread to absorb all the sauce, the herb crusted lamb cooked perfectly and though we were so full and hadn't anticipated on eating so much topped the dinner off with the chocolate delice, oh so chocolately rich. I highly recommend the restaurant and reserving first.”
