“The food here was absolutely amazing! I had the tortellini in cream sauce, and they were cooked to perfection. Our server made the evening even better friendly, attentive, and cracking jokes with us all night. Great food, great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“I’ve been a semi-frequent customer at the Kokomo locations in Vancouver, but this was my first time at the Port Moody location. I stopped for a quick lunch and got the bean burrito. I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve tried at Kokomo and this was no exception. The burrito was flavourful and very filling. More complex flavours than the usual Southwest-style bean burrito.
Good vibes. The staff person up front was very friendly and always had a smile. The store design is bright and fun, and the tables were kept clean.
Vegans, vegetarians, or those inclined toward plant-based eating will most appreciate Kokomo, but the food is interesting and objectively good enough the I’d recommend it to anyone looking for something healthy but inspired.“

“Finally had cash on me and happened to go by during open hours!
I love and respect the short hours and cash only for a business that is obviously run by the namesake herself, Rehanah.
The curry is tasty, the roti is fresh. Be prepared for Caribbean spice if you are not used to it.“

“Service was amazing. The servers were always checking in, refilling water and tea, took dirty plates and even packaged the leftovers for us. They were also very polite and kind
The food came quickly and was delicious. The Shanghai crispy chicken was my favorite.“

“Apologies to my former fav sushi restaurant but, Hanayuki is officially my new favorite Sushi Restaurant in the lower mainland.
The food came out so quickly, the staff were super friendly and accommodating despite us arriving an hour before closing, and the atmosphere was warm with very cozy seating.
It is close to some popular local spots like Rocky Point, Belcara, Sasamat Lake, and Buntzen so we will be back again regularly which is an absolute treat.
The quality of the food and fish was unparalleled and the miso soup really hit the spot after a cold swim. My friend had the Tonkatsu which she said was the best she has had in a long time and the closest to what she makes at home.
I really recommend the Salmon Run Roll and the Tataki Attack Roll. The gyoza is very crispy and the Toro melts in your mouth.
I cannot wait to go again and bring more of our family too!“

“We celebrated my little daughter's birthday (1 year old), we really liked it! Very polite staff, delicious food, spacious room, large tables, beautiful view of the lake and mountains! They brought a beautiful high chair for the child, stylized with adult chairs and to match the overall interior. They also brought a children's menu and colored pencils, we did not need it due to the child's age, but we were very pleased for the care.
Thanks a lot!“

“Incredible mom and pop restaurant with the sweetest Taiwanese couple serving you exquisite french cuisine.
You need to preorder ahead of time via email as there is only one chef and one server.
TIP: if you’re in a group of 4 or more, try to order the same dishes to reduce wait time. They only have 4 burners so if y’all are getting different items plus appetizers, it’s gonna take a long time to get your food. Consider they also have other tables to serve.
Beef Wellington takes the longest. Be patient, kind, and grab drinks while you wait.
Get dessert. It’s worth it. Doesn’t take as long to come out.
Atmosphere is so unusual cause it’s like a Chinese diner style with random wedding banquet decor. The food presentation, quality, and taste are above and beyond. Makes for a truly unique experience.
Recommend for dates and smaller groups. Like 2-3 is ideal.
That being said, I went with a group of 6 and had an early dinner ~6pm. Since we knew the food would take a while, we shared some wine and it was fine. Got to chat with the server who’s a very sweet lady.
Bathroom has a bunch of news clippings from when the chef was at a fancy hotel. They also have a variety of Costco sized lotions in there which was a funny but nice touch.
Everything was delicious. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes.“
