“Highly recommend AYCE here! Especially want to say thank you to our server:Rico! He was very considerate and proactively introduced us to the restaurant's specialties and how to order. The squid tentacles he grilled for us were delicious. And the meat is of very high quality. We will come back again for sure!“

“After seeing all the reviews I decided to give them a try. Their BBQ meats are topped notch and tasted great, but they are overpriced. There are other BBQ places in Richmond that is just as good and not as expensive.
If I was in the area shopping and have a craving, I will most likely go back, but it's not a restaurant that I would go out of my way to visit“

“I recently dined, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The service was impeccable—server and the owner was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations without being overbearing. The food was equally outstanding, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. Overall, this place exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to return!“

“This is a meat shop located on the market level of Richmond Public Market. The signage of the shop is listed as YM Food, which is the abbreviation of the shop's full name. The shop offers up fresh meats, Chinese sausages and Chinese barbecue. The latter of which has its own area separated from the butcher items. My family bought some roast pork which was delicious and reasonably priced at about $14 CAD per pound. Although this shop isn't as famous as other Chinese barbecue spots in Richmond like HK BBQ Master and Parker Place Meats, I think it is worth a try based on the quality and price.“

“Amazing food, generous portions and all wrapped in a friendly atmosphere
Seafood stew, pork belly and beed bibimpap were amazing. The seafood pancake was nice too but a bit too oily.
Our food arrived quickly and was burning hot
The place is small and cozy.“

“Had the spicy clams, lamb skewers and spicy cold noodles. Clams were big Manila clams, the sauce could have been stir fried and mix better with the clams. Some of the clams had no sauce on it but still tasted good. Lamb skewers were good. It alternated with a piece of meat and a piece of fat. Also had a lychee such but there were still bits and pieces of ice in it. The atmosphere is great! Felt like eating under camping light which is the theme of the restaurant.“

“I recently visited Good Nine Korean BBQ, and everything was totally worth it . All the meats I tried were super juicy and fresh. I went there for the pork belly, but I enjoyed the galbi more. Non-marinated galbi was incredibly tender, and the beef tongue was perfect with just lemon and salt. Eating the pork belly with wasabi was another twist.
The staff were very friendly, their grilling skills were excellent. If you’re looking for great Korean BBQ with a pleasant atmosphere, I highly recommend this place. And don’t forget to try their naengmyeon—it’s a must!“

“This place has been our favourite— it is a deep core memory to eat Mr.Beigai’s skewers. It’s a shame that people might miss out due to the low rating but, give Mr. Beigai a chance 😭
Food: The way they season and cook the meat makes it all worth coming back whenever we’re craving good skewers! Very flavourful
Atmosphere: The interior is nice and very spacious! I like the overall design, lighting and feel of the restaurant.
Service: At first, yes, they could maybe speak Chinese to you if you look like you’re Chinese 😂 but, the workers can speak English and can understand you— please just be patient with them
Price: Can be pricey but, good for sharing— my boyfriend and I love coming here 🥰 We typically order 2 servings of both lamb & beef kebabs with rice and a drink which costs us about $35 when we split“

“20251001
Finally got to try this popular roast meat place that always has a line! Luckily, the wait wasn’t too long — about 10 minutes. Watching the chef skillfully slice the meat was impressive. I bought the honey-glazed BBQ pork and the honey pork jowl. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos, but if you love a rich honey flavor, you have to try the pork jowl — it’s absolutely delicious! 😋“

“We made a reservation for dinner on Apr 22nd because we went the weekend before and it was 1 1/2 hour wait. The food was really good but small portions. We booked for 5:30pm and left at 8pm and not by choice. We took our 7 year old. His food came within about 20-30 minutes. While we got our miso, edamame and salad one at a time, It took over an hour to get our BBQ meat, and longer to get our bowls of rice. 2 1/2 hours to get our bill (with me stopping someone to ask for the bill). Our son was super excited to cook meat but was getting upset with all the waiting. Quite honestly, the 2 adults with him were too. But I would give it a try again because the food was good“

“Recently ordered takeout through their online ordering system and there was no indication that there would be any additional fees, but when I went through checkout and checked the receipt, there was a maintenance fee just around $10% of the total bill that was added on. Would recommend calling in or going in person to place orders instead if you want to avoid that fee.“

Passed by this place a few times before finally give it a try. Walked in very hungry and had expected it to be like other skewer places where they bring you the cooked food. However, this place is more unique! The skewers are cooked rotating style in front of you. At first we were fairly unhappy because of how hungry we were but was honestly super happy by the end. The food was very yummy!
We ordered skewers that were $1 per skewer. There’s not a lot of meat on it but whatever meat is there is juicy and yummy.
Recommend the lamb and beef! The lamb was super yummy. Their self serve spice also adds to the flavour.
One star docked because the chicken wings were below average and took forever to cook.
The servers were really attentive and nice! We were having trouble determining when the food was actually cooked. So they came around to help us check!
One star docked from atmosphere because the table and chairs were fairly uncomfortable to sit in. For a restaurant where you’ll be there for an extended period of time due to waiting for food to finish cooking, the chairs should really be more comfortable!
Overall a really enjoyable experience. Only come when you’re not super hungry because it takes a while before you can actually start eating. Unless you order some cooked food like fried rice (which we did).“

“I’ve been to this restaurant several times, and Karen is by far the best staff member I’ve encountered. The first time I met her was on a busy weekend dinner — she was working at the front desk and remained patient, friendly, and welcoming despite the long line.
What impressed me even more was tonight’s visit on a weekday dinner. She was serving tables, and every time I needed something, she responded quickly and always with great manners. When I went to the self-serve snack area, I even noticed her tidying up the trays and arranging the food beautifully during her spare moments. This level of attention to detail is truly admirable.
Previously, I brought friends here and happened to encounter another waitress whose attitude was very lazy — chatting, avoiding service, and always pushing tasks to new staff. That experience left a bad impression on my friends.
I genuinely hope the owner keeps excellent employees like Karen. Her positivity, politeness, and professionalism really make a difference.“

“I recently visited Jjang Korea BBQ in Richmond, and their bargain lunch special is an absolute steal! The Korean fried chicken is crispy and flavorful—definitely one of the best I’ve had. Their kimchi and potato sides are outstanding, perfectly complementing the meal. The beef is tender, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a chill lunch. Free parking adds to the convenience, which is always a bonus in Richmond. Overall, Jjang Korea BBQ offers incredible value without compromising on quality. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Korean BBQ!“

“I have seen this food truck for a while and finally caught it when it's opened. Seeing not a lot of people I was wondering would it be good, but I was blown away. The skewers are cheaper than outside and just tasted so amazing. Seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. Eating outside with the setting sun definitely sets a good mood to enjoy the food.Definitely need to try the lamb kidney, chicken knee, chicken soft bone and meat, beef tongue, and must order the Naan, it is more Northern Chinese Naan bread, and it is so soft and pillowy, we ate both of them so quickly.A must try in richmond.“

“The Fish Man in Richmond has become one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver. The vibe is lively and packed with local Asian diners, which always gives me confidence in the food. The lighting is warm and bright, and even though the space gets busy, the high ceilings make it easy to have a conversation. The dining area is clean, but the restroom could use improvement.
We ordered the Lingcod with sour cabbage flavor, salted egg yolk lobster, oysters, and a variety of BBQ skewers. Portions are very generous and everything tasted fresh, especially the seafood. The sour cabbage Lingcod is the dish that made me fall in love with this place. I keep coming back hoping to relive that first bite, and it never disappoints.
Service can be hard to flag down when it’s busy, but the staff is friendly and quick once they reach you. The space is large and family friendly.
I’ve visited four times now and always leave happy. I will definitely return every time I’m in Vancouver.“

“Tak Fook Noodles and Congee shop in Parker Place is a true delight for lovers of Hong Kong-style cuisine. Their BBQ pork on rice is excellent, and the roast duck is simply great. The wonton soup deserves five stars for its rich, authentic flavor. Their congee is also exceptional, offering comforting warmth and taste. All of this comes at a bargain price, making it an incredible value. This food court gem delivers top-notch dishes with friendly service, making it a must-visit spot!“

“BBQ Chicken in Richmond is a go-to for satisfying Korean fried chicken cravings. The chicken comes out perfectly crispy on the outside while staying juicy inside, with sauces ranging from sweet and sticky to spicy and bold. Portions are solid, making it great for sharing with friends, and the casual setting makes it an easy spot to drop into when you’re in the mood for comfort food done right.“

“I order the pork galbi every time I come here. The meat is tender and very delicious. The side dishes they serve are plentiful, and each one tastes great. They often come by to ask if I need refills. It tasted even better with Korean liquor. All the servers here are cheerful and friendly, which reflects the attitude of the owner or manager. However, there can be a wait, so I recommend going right when they open.“

“Recommend this place for hang out. You can have skewers and beers to start. We also ordered the Spicy Fish for sharing. They use schezhuan and oil to cook the fish. It was so hot and flavourful. The portion was generous, yet the price is quite expensive. Especially when you finally realize how many skewers you had. The service was okay. You need to raise your hand whenever you need anything because they are busy and not checking table individually.“

“2025.10.28 We finally got here during the lunch time to order their wonton prior to 1500. I would say the broth in the wonton was acceptable, nothing great or even good. The shrimp filling in the wonton was better tasting than the broth of a more complex flavor. Also had their combo plate of BBQ meats, but substituted the roast duck for the roast pork. Their BBQ pork is definitely a favorite here. Bills under fifty dollars subject to 3% fee using a credit card for payment.
2025.10.05 Wonton is available for lunch time only before 1500. The scrambled eggs with BBQ Pork, Green Beans with Beef in Black Bean Sauce, BBQ Pork Shrimp Fried Rice. The beef was very soft from velveting the meat, the BBQ Pork in the fried rice are from the day before. We had nice service this time.
2025.08.21 The food here is top rate. I declined an offer of a menu two course fish meal for CAD 59, instead ordered off their combination menu which includes a soup of the day; 25. Scrambled Eggs with BBQ Pork CAD 25; and 31. Sole Fillet with House Sauce, CAD 25 per plate; steamed rice bowl CAD 2.
Their soup of the day has a nice rich broth. Both choices were excellent tasting. The fish was delicate, moist, very flavorful. The scrambled eggs were very delicate, moist, slightly underdone; BBQ Pork was very sweet and pleasant, the vegetables still retained some integrity on crispiness, the sauce just made the whole presentation very satisfying. Their food is excellent, top rate, a winner here.
The other two elements could use improvement; service was rather minimal, business like, not friendly, not warm, rather cold like the weather, they give you the feeling that you should leave when you're not spending any more, not longer, tipping is optional.
Atmosphere was unwelcoming, uncomfortable with the doors opened. No WiFi, credit cards accepted for dine-in only, take away is cash only, extra soup CAD 8, CAD 0.5 charge for each container or bag.“

“What an awesome little place kind of tucked away in the second floor of a plaza. The service was excellent and welcoming and the food was amazing! The value and quality of the food was top notch. We ordered a bunch of sushi as well as the Japanese BBQ platter and it was perfect.
Definitely one of the best meals we had while visiting BC!“
