“Finally found some time to book St Lawrence. Heard and read may good review and the hype is real. The small interior reminds me of Montreal style bistro. We got chef counter seat and it was great to see the action and also speak with the chef and his crew who took the time to describe each dish. Plating and taste was spot on. Service was attentive. Highly recommend for any special occasions just have to book a month out in advance if you want weekend and the chef counter seating“

“Absolutely blown away by the seven course tasting menu. Surprised my boyfriend with a birthday meal here and the service was simply superb. Attentive and great pacing. Every dish was flavourful and spot on, and we loved learning more about each dish, the technique used and its history.
- bread course - so crispy and buttery. The cheese spread was amazing.
- chutoro - perfect one bite, the fish was so fresh and soft.
- baked oyster - wow, that sauce. So rich and packed with umami.
- octopus - cooked perfectly. Loved the crispy jalapeño on top.
- scallop - a perfect autumn dish. The lentil ragout was so rich and comforting and the crispy pork was a great touch.
- beef tenderloin - pleasantly surprised by the broccoli purée. I also loved the bone marrow sauce. Beef was cooked perfectly.
- sorbet - great palate cleanser. Loved the touch of grape.
- chocolate tart - so rich so beautiful. Great tart shell but with a rich gooey center.
- shortbread - wow I am obsessed. What a way to end the meal. Perfect chocolate matching the restaurants tiles, caramel center, rich buttery shortbread.

“The bistro was freezing upon entering as no heat was on and door and windows were thrown over. W4th Avenue, a very high traffic noise level, was tough on hearing. When server was asked to close door and windows, she declined saying the sun was out. So uncomfortable was the meal. Eventually as more patrons entered, they were closed but put me off.“

We were here for my birthday celebration. Every dish is beyond our expectations! The bread is warm and with creamy butter, French onion soup is a must try, the scallop is cooked to perfection and the duck leg vanished into my boyfriend’s stomach within 3 min since it’s too good! The dark chocolate lava cake is not too sweet, paired with homemade black current ice cream make it fresh!

Love the quiet and calm vibes. Service is excellent. I’ll rate it a 10/10?“

“It's a fantastic little gem in North Vancouver. Family run, the food is exceptional and the service is friendly and helpful. Setting is a bit austere. But you go for the food and the service. Never disappoints.. the cherry gravy is outstanding.

“We had a wonderful dining experience at Croquette Brasserie. Our waiter was both helpful and charming, adding a personal touch to the evening. We started with the moules-frites, sharing the mussels and fries as an appetizer. The dish was outstanding—perfectly cooked mussels paired with crisp, golden fries. For our main course, we chose pasta sourced from their sister restaurant, Fiore Famiglia, which happens to be our long-time favorite neighborhood Italian spot. As expected, the pasta was impeccable, showcasing the quality and flavors we’ve come to love. A special highlight was the crème brûlée, torched at our table by the waiter. Watching the caramelized sugar form into a crackling, golden crust was such a treat, and the result was as delicious as it was entertaining. The ambiance was made even better by live music from "Van Django," an incredible violin and guitar duo. Their lively and romantic performance elevated the evening to something truly magical. Croquette Brasserie is a gem we can’t wait to visit again!“

“I've been going to Bâtard for several years -- my favourite bakery in town and worth the 15 minute drive. Great bread & scones, pastry to die for, and wonderful atmosphere for a lunch. I'm more than a little suspicious by several coordinated reviews which trash the place, particularly as one of the reviews is by an owner of the new bakery which just moved in across the street ... hmmmm ...“

“Argo Burger topped with bacon, cheese, fried onions and egg is served alongside a mound of fries. Delicious, whether eaten hot or cold. Fried chicken burger is one of the best in town. Fish and chips came with equal amounts of both, which translates into lots. Creamy Chicken chili con queso and heaping plateful of Spicy lamb on their respective beds of rice were stick-to-your-bones good. Then there's the home-baked pie and the OMG butter tart! “Wonderful place to try on an impromptu getaway to Vancouver. We did the tasting menu, and loved the flavors of the miso cured sablefish especially. The roasted pear for dessert was also a highlight. The owner explained several of the dishes and the sake menu to us, and was a delight to talk to.“

Fabrice and his wife take excellent care to offer their clients the highest quality breads, croissants and sandwiches in the neighborhood. It's like your're back in France for a brief escape. We come out from Surrey to pick up fresh croissants, Chocolatines, Ham & Cheese croissants and and Epiphany must... A Galette Des Rois.“

“If you ever see a line out the door of this place, or if it ever since perpetually busy especially during high volume times like breakfast or lunch, just know it's for a good reason. Their circular supreme croissants are iconic, filling, and absolutely delicious and I try and make it my mission to at least grab a chestnut one whenever I'm in the area. They also offer seasonal variations like caramel pumpkin pie, or strawberry milkshake or blueberry lavender so there's always something to be had here.“
