“The Starbucks in Safeway, Castlegar may very well be the best we’ve been to yet. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It seemed as though two employees were being trained by a third. And the ‘boss’ was so patient and amazing with the employees and us. Funny and personable are an understatement. Best stop on our road trip!”

“Our booth seat was broken, the food was dry, to the point where the sauce left a weird texture on the yakisoba noodles instead of being an actual sauce. Service was slow, brought food out at staggered tines instead of meals all at the same time, and didn't offer sugar or milk for tea. The menu has downsized compared to previous years, with many options for kids being removed. Children were not offered cutlery or chopsticks, and staff must have assumed children eat with their hands. The staff did not inquire how everything was, but avoided making eye contact as we reluctantly paid for our poor quality meal. For obvious reasons, we did not take our unfinished meals to go, nor would we ever consider going back.”

“Not being from Castlegar, I read the reviews and then asked a buddy who is a long time local where the best Chinese restaurant was. He said, without a doubt, Chopsticks!! So we went. It was a Sunday, it was packed. My husband and I had sushi and a war wonton. It was delish! Our buddy who recommended Chopsticks, joined us and had a combo for 1. The portion was huge and it looked good so the next night, that’s all my husband and I wanted was to share that combination for 1. It did not disappoint. It was delish! Definitely recommend Chopsticks!”
