“Amazing food, beautiful setting and wonderful staff and owners. What a great place to eat after a tough day of biking the steep roads on Salt Spring. The fish and chips were a cut above, not greasy at all, with just a light malt batter. The lobster mac and cheese, comfort food with a twist, really hit the spot for my wife. Highly recommended…and be sure to reserve with Tock as they are popular. Also, check out the bathroom decor!”

“This is my favourite spot to eat on Saltspring I always have a hectic day there towing and I come in famished and they seat me right away and feed me real good. I'm not even a local and they welcome me and are glad to see me. Lots of parking, food is excellent, prices are fair. Highly recommended.”

“The heirloom tomato and the grab and go zucchini sandwich are exceptional and must tries. Limited space for sitting but there is space outdoors. I want to go back to try the different bread samples. Looked delicious.”

“Today we tried the cinnamon twists, jalapeno and cheese criossants, and their breakfast sandwiches. absolutely amazing. The only downside to this visit, is that I won't be able to have more and try their other delicious looking bakery items until I return to Salt Spring. Their staff were also amazing and very good on handwashing between duties. I highly recommended this bakery!”

“Great old school scratch bakery. Just like my Nana used to make. Reasonable prices. Friendly service. Good coffee. I wish I had a place like this at home but sadly this type of bakery is rapidly disappearing in favour of mass produced flash frozen product a la Tim Hortons. Salt Spring is very lucky!”

“I love Salt spring Coffee, I drink it everyday at home. Stopped in to the cafe on my way to the ferry and I told the cashier that I wanted a coffee, muffin and a roasted veg egg white bite as I pointed to it in the display case. Somehow I didn’t realize how much my bill was when I tapped my card - and ended up waiting over 10 minutes for the girl to hand me a to-go container that had a full eggs Benedict meal with hash browns. I didn’t have time to return it as I was almost late for the ferry and checked my card later that was charged $34 for a meal that I didn’t order or eat. Im confused how the cashier misunderstood my order as I pointed to it in the display case and the full dine-in breakfast menu is in a completely different spot. I know it’s difficult with masks to understand people right now, so maybe training your staff to repeat the order if they are unsure because people have allergies and it’s so disappointing when you are commuting to work and don’t get to eat breakfast!! :(”

“Arrived on the island a little late and everything was closed , we were told to go to uptown pizza and by the time we got there , they had just closed but that man came out and gave my dad the rest of the slices left over , free of change ! We were so grateful as we don’t have much food on us as we just arrived , that was so kind and generous , the pizza is DELISH!!! Will define going back to get more , thank you !”

“I was not disappointed. I have traveled all over india and Manon's chai is still my favorite on earth.

Ash and his exceptional Turkish coffee stand outside is a beautiful addition.
