“First coffee we have had in Vancouver that is even close to Melbourne coffee! Recommend this place for any Australians visiting. The staff are lovely, and the booths are comfortable.“

“Stopped by for a chai after grinding at the Lunch Lady next door. Killer vibe for a rainy Saturday. The cashier was friendly, warm, and engaging. She hooked me up with a mega hot Chai latte instead of that luke warm jazz. My son went hammer time on the Pink Pony donut. Plenty of table space to chill, work, or people watch. Top tier!“
“The separate kitchen area to prepare food means cleaner sandwiches prepared properly. The pastries are baked in-house.“
“During a stint when the ultra fabulous, Denise's Fine Tea, 100% organic, Quangzhou milky oolong tea was not available via Amazon, rather than go without, I opted to order directly from West End Roasters. Little did I know just how long and involved that endeavor would end up being because of customs requirements and documentation! But, I have to say how impressed I was with how each request that I made - and there were several - was handled. Kudos for 5-star+ customer service - always timely responses, always thorough, and most of all, always understanding and helpful. It was quite a long and wild ride, but the end goal was finally achieved. I am once again savoring the best milky oolong I've yet to come across. You're the best, William! Thank-you!!“
“Amazing staff! Great options and a friendly feel! My favourite place to go!“

“My favorite coffee house in Vancouver. Delicious single origin coffees, small-batch roasting, and expert preparation. This is exactly what I look for in good coffee. Plus, the delicious ice cream they make. On top of all that they showcase local artists in their shop. Great vibe, a small cozy space.“

“A cute cafe tucked in the Vancouver Public Library building, accessible from the outside on the south area of the block. It had cute little Christmas decorations, nothing overbearing, and has nice little tables and also an outdoor patio. Some merchandise is also for sale if you like to look. I had great service at the counter from the friendly staff. Sipped on a chai latte that was presented beautifully and a vegan wrap with plenty of flavor and grilled just right, served cut in half. Bill was high but expected for a downtown establishment and consistent with the quality I received!“

“Made my morning! I just had the ham cheese croissant, and it was so buttery and flavourful with cheesy goodness and a little salty ham. The coffee is great, and the cookies are huge and fresh tasting. A friendly, relaxed morning greeting with amazing goodies, what more could I ask for.“

“My mom and I visited on Christmas for brunch and it was delicious! I loved the interior/decor and the whole theme of portraits that you can actually purchase. (I loved the bathroom sink!) I got the mushroom hash and my mom got the bacon eggs benedict.
I loved the hash, the potatoes were tasty, the mushroom and onions were good and there wasn't too much cheese as I am not a huge fan of cheese. Sourdough toast was good. I don't like sunny-side eggs though so I just ate the whites. It came with a lot of sour cream, salsa was nice. My mom loved her dish and again potatoes were yummy!
There was a line up so we waited over 30mins I think but we were given a small tea while we waited. There is very limited seating as the place is quite small. But certainly cozy once seated! Even the table was art! Staff was super friendly! We will be back again“

“Excellent coffee. Visiting from Australia and coffee here is equal to anything in Melbourne. Streets ahead of anything else I’ve tried in North America. Food is ok, sandwiches and pastries, but I’ll let the pass for the coffee. Tea also very good although the mug they were it in isn’t nice to drink out of. The lip is too thick.“

“We went for a decent cup of coffee while staying at the Hampton Inn nearby. Good coffee from a selection of good roasts. The pour over is done right. The staff are friendly. It's a small place with nice ambiance. Only five small tables, one large one and two bar height tables.“

“Really beautiful espresso, amazing food, lots of seating indoors and outdoors. I enjoy cold weather and loved drinking my coffee on the covered patio while it drizzled. Staff was lovely. Would recommend for coffee and breakfast sandwiches in Vancouver!“
“This location is my first favourite if them all. The chefs prepare pretty good food here, always fresh, wholesome and lots of variety. I like to pick up fresh organic fruits and veggies, then head over to the food bar to create my own dinner. Tonight, raisin, nuts and turmeric rice, roasted chicken, and braised cauliflower. Plus a carrot, celery, cucumber and coconut water smoothie. How perfect is that? Optimal nutrition and delicious to boot, convenience too. A fresh food market in the heart of a city of skyscrapers and construction.“

“I’ve noticed a few times that people bring their dogs inside, and the staff end up in uncomfortable situations. In Vancouver, only service dogs are allowed indoors, but even when the staff politely explain this, some individuals still act rude or dismissive.
Despite that, the team here stays patient, respectful, and professional every time.
Overall, this JJ Bean location has some of the kindest staff, and they always make great coffee with care. Definitely one of my favorite spots!“
“Consistent quality, I have been buying Johns Granville Island Blend for the past 3 years. Up until that time I was always experimenting with different flavors, one day he asked me “what are you looking for in your coffee “ I told him and he recommended G.I.B. It’s the perfect cup for me. John is a master of his craft!“

“been a big fan of jj bean for a while now and have visited (almost) all of their locations. I had their frittata breakfast sandwich the other day and it was so well made-- the egg patty was thick and juicy, it had a substantial amount of spinach and tomato, and overall I could just sense it was made with love and care. It felt like a different sandwich altogether compared to the same item I've tried across other locations. it was also perfectly toasted. keep up the great work 🫶“

“Busy place, friendly stuff. There were not many options for snacks and treats but it was probably because we came at the end of day. Cookies were almost sold out, that was a good sign)
We didn't wait long for our orders.
You can sit outside with your pets, that's is an advantage.“
