11 Best Irish Pubs in Vancouver

“Our favourite Irish pub in Vancouver. Pretty cheap and good Guiness, good food, and more laid back atmosphere than other Irish pubs in town. What really puts it up to 5 stars is the fantastic staff; it’s family owned and run and they put a ton of effort into accommodating guests and taking care of them. We showed up on Christmas Eve without a reservation and a big group, and the staff bent over backwards to get us all seated close together.“

“I’ve been in Irish pubs all over Europe, the US and Canada from Toronto to Vancouver. Great pub, service, atmosphere and the old fashioned Irish craic and banter with staff, especially a young Irish lad, Luke. I’ve a friend visiting Vancouver next month and Donnellan’s highly recommended.“

“Went here on a day that had a hockey game in the evening but they were nice enough to reserve a table for us. It wasn’t too crowded as we went at the start of happy hour. The server was friendly but with a large group it seemed to still take a while for drinks and such. The food was very classic pub bar food that is salty and heavily fried. If you are a sports fan this might be a great place to visit during a game.“

“It’s a heatwave 🥵 in Vancouver so I was glad of a nice comfortable attractive place with good air conditioning. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was good.“

“Great atmosphere, classic Irish pub style, fantastic live music, decent service, and an excellent Guinness. However, the Irish stew was a disappointment — it was basically just broth with barely any meat and a few croutons. If I didn’t know what a proper Irish stew is supposed to be like, I might have rated the food higher. But as it stands, just three stars.“

“I booked a table for two through open table for a Christmas dinner with my friend who I hadn't seen In a while. When we got there we were told it was a special event night and they had no tables except the ones next to the washrooms. Table was unsteady, we were up close to another group and it was difficult at times to hear each other. We had main course and a drink and left. Not the night we were expecting. Always have a wonderful time there with hot food which was lukewarm this time around.“

“went on a Saturday afternoon for a large group party and staff were incredible - so organized, efficient, friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. Food was hot and delicious.
