“We found this place on social media and decided to give it a try today. Tucked away between Sai Woo and Newtown Bakery (both, which are pretty good) is Say Hey Cafe in Vancouver - Chinatown.

The employee at the front was very friendly and welcoming. We tried out the Dip Dip turkey sandwich and the Granny Roast beef sandwich since they were out of the meatball hoagie.

I must say that the sandwiches were really good. The kimchi paired well with the provolone and turkey and with the nice dipping au juis sauce made of brown butter. The roast beef sandwich “The Granny” was also really flavourful and tasted fresh and great!

I will definitely give this place another try and hopefully come back to try out the meatball hoagie. I am really happy and pleased with the service and food we received.“

“A cute little place with delicious looking pastries and fresh sandwiches. I got the alder smoked BLT and the sticky toffee pudding. The BLT was a really well balanced sandwich with freshly made bread. It was salty, but perfectly so.

The staff were kind and helpful too and the service was fast (especially with it being freshly made in front of you).“

And just in case the front parking is full, don't fret, we've got the luxurious back parking option. “Adorable little cafe with amazing sandwiches on fresh baked foccaccia. They also have panini sandwiches and espresso drinks. Comfortable indoor seating, chill vibes, and friendly staff. I had the Marseille sandwich, which was turkey and brie on foccaccia. It was huge and enough for 2 meals, for $17. Unlike some nearby cafes that we passed on, they make the sandwiches to order instead of serving them pre-made.“

“Exploring Calgary, we came across Meat & Bread and decided to try the Feature sandwich & the buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were incredible, but it was the amazing staff that made it experience a great one. Friendly, super accommodating & gave us extra pickles & sauces to try. “I’m giving 4 stars only because I know a lower rating would affect their overall score. The staff are nice, but I was disappointed. My wrap was still cold after asking to have it warmed, and the onions were raw instead of fried(fried after I mentioned ) They mean well, but you have to be very specific and remind them to follow the recipe and your requests. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.“

“So, I had a classic deli and muffuletta. Both delicious, great size and value for your money. Very clean dining area and welcoming environment. Everyone here was really friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed having these sandwiches with my wife, and as a bonus, Joy Division as a background!! C'mon!!!! The highlight of my week as mentioned to them. I will be back and will be bringing all my friends. Classic deli was the large size, lots of meat, great dressings and flavour, zesty and meaty!! The muffuletta was different but as great as the previous one, I liked this one a bit more because of the olives! That for me was the game changer! I'll try them all on my next visits! Cheers to you! “My husband and I visited Saiko for the first time tonight and it’s our new favourite sushi place. We sat at the sushi bar and learned so much about sushi from the chef/owner! The nigiri we had was incredibly fresh, and likely the fish was still swimming yesterday, according to the chef. Their fish is regularly flown fresh from Japan during the week. We really enjoyed the big eye/ striped jack, renko dai/ big eye, and kanpachi/ amberjack nigiris, unagi don, and salad with real crab meat. Thank you for the wonderful evening Saiko sushi!!“

“DAMN good sandwich shop. I came in, not realizing how busy it was, but the inside didn't feel too claustrophobi, and everyone was served and settled, or on their way in 10 minutes.
Not to mention that the food is amazing and the staff are all incredibly friendly, even when it looks stressful. I'm quite happy to have a place like this on campus to sit and eat or grab and go.
I got a classic ladder and soft drink combo. 10/10 (I also recommend mixing coke zero and peach yello mello on their machine).“

Naman absolutely made my day! He was incredibly friendly, professional, and quick all while making one of the best subs I’ve had in a long time. “The frozen yogurt is really pretty tasty. They make it with frozen fruit. I did not see if they added anything else. Maybe cream. But certainly not sugar. The taste was apparent. A really good healthy alternative sweet, cold dessert treat. Got the small size. Shared with my toddler. Honestly, I am a big guy. And it was almost too much for me. Under $4 including tax. Next time I will definitely try the sandwiches. One downside is since they make it fresh each time, you cannot try different flavours. But you basically just get whar you choose. If you like blueberry, it is just frozen blueberries made into frozrn yogurt.

A little icy is my only complaint. Maybe the frozen fruits could use a few minutes to thaw slightly. But great value and experience overqll.“

“Subway is very clean. The ingredients were fresh even though it was midnight when we arrived. The service was perfect. The atmosphere is modern and fresh. “It's a Subway franchise. Clean shop, food is fresh, all the basics done right.

But the guy behind the counter (franchise owner?) was what made the visit noteworthy (in a good way).

He was very friendly with the customer ahead of me - in the best, neighbourly kind of sense - they were chatting about winter tires... All Season vs. All Weather...

He was professional and friendly with me as well while taking my order & payment.

And then, AFTER I'd finished eating, he swung by to remind me that refills on the fountain drinks were free, and to help myself.

Seemed to sincerely care about the customer experience and adding value to my visit.

“This is our regular go-to subway as we live close by. I’ve never had any issues with my orders (I often put them in online and then pick up). It can get busy in there at peak times, but staff have always been friendly and as efficient as they can be. Read some of the negative reviews and was surprised - the lady who usually works there is quiet so perhaps could be taken the wrong way if you’re wanting a Kindergarten teacher personality to serve you. When I order in, she’s always happy to load up the toppings if I ask for it.
We often get a free cookie when ordering online if the manager is around.
The store is always clean and tidy, the food is fresh, the staff are polite and I’ve never had any issues incorrect order when picking up.
Ignore the complainers - there’s nothing wrong with this store.“

“Awesome location? Near UBC hospital. Cheaper and better meal quality than McDonalds! Open 24 hours! Perfect for working near by. Unfortunately I have to order on the app to use the coupon. (Tim Hortons app I can order in person using the app coupons.) I like ordering in person. Clean restaurant. Fully stocked chip display. Good selection of cookies. The wall menu is easy to read. The drink case is fully stocked. High and regular hight tables. (My friend has back issues. Meaning no sitting in a chair.) The sandwich was ready before the estimated time. Will return again!“
