they have been consistently good quality, fresh, authentic, and well priced food. Service is good. I heard the owner treats them to vacations and treats them very well which is important. I have been a regular for many years. Some of their dishes are better than others. Of course certain places offer a tastier Thai dish for 18-30 dollars but I’m often paying only 12-15 dollars at Thai basil. I've been a (kits location) customer for almost a decade now, so I wanted to give the downtown location a try as well. I didn't find the food to be as good (the green curry I ordered lacked a bit of flavour overall) as the Kitsilano location, but it was still really good. Highly recommend it if you're into thai food and looking for a quick, healthy and affordable meal downtown.
