11 Best Craft Breweries in Victoria

Macaloney's Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery Brewery • $
761 Enterprise Crescent, Victoria

“My whisky club and I heard about Macaloney's around 2020 and sampled what was then not considered whisky, but 2 year old spirit. We were all intrigued, and are pleased to have enjoyed the whisky getting better and better each year.

Their core line is outstanding, but their unique casks (Sugar Kelp Infused Peat Project, Ex-Islay Cask, Moscatel Cask) are some of the best whiskies I've tasted.

Our whisky club has ran with the thesis that age statements don't define a good whisky, but the character behind how it is made does. Canadian whisky is full of character, and one of the most exciting whisky regions worldwide right now...And Macaloney's is leading the charge.“

Swift Brewing & Good Time Tasting Room Brewery •
450 Swift St, Victoria

“Lovely hidden gem! Beautiful design / atmosphere and relatively quiet, making it the perfect place to grab a drink with friends. Can’t believe it took me years to discover it. Only thing that could make it better is if they had sour beer options.“

Ile Sauvage Brewing Co. Brewery •
2960 Bridge St, Victoria

“My friends had their vow renewal here at the end of August and I just have to compliment the staff and venue for being some of the most genuine, friendly, kind, and accommodating people around. My friends were so thrilled with the space, they let a food truck be brought in, they were wonderfully kind and helpful and on a day that could have been stressful they helped everything feel like joy.

Would highly recommend this place based on service alone!“

Hoyne Brewing Company Brewery •
2740 Bridge St #101, Victoria

“Top level Brewery. I’ve had multiple breweries provide beer for our keg in our multiple professional men in our residential home, but nobody delivers like Hoyne. No delivery charge with a wide range of delicious beers. Many favourites we are enjoying over the years and currently loving the liquid sunshine. We had the chance to taste test the excellent true north beer at the Grizzlies hockey game while being promoted by one of their great employees Finn. Competitive market, but Hoyne’s free KEG delivery is a huge bonus. Thank you Hoyne for making me a satisfied customer for almost a decade. ❤️“

I’m not mad I think it was funny and it made a memory for us so thank you for making us happy mr. pickle-man“

“We visited on Valentine's Day so it was probably unusually busy. The overall ambiance wasn't great, it felt like a basic and noisy pub. Not so great for couples as there were a lot of huge tables. The food was not gourmet but excellent - very tasty. The servers seemed very friendly, competent and experienced but were hampered by the kitchen being overwhelmed. Definitely good value for what we had. Totally okay as a place to grab a good meal - just don't expect a nice cozy ambiance....“

“Really comfortable brewery/distillery to stop in and grab a pint and a bite. The beer selections i had was delicious and refreshing. Although I didn't find the menu of food particularly appealing, your needs are probably different than mine, so have at it. The people working there were friendly and knew about their beers. Definitely stop in. If I find myself there again, I'll be trying the gin and whiskey.“

Lighthouse Brewing Bar • $$
836 Devonshire Rd Unit 2, Victoria

“Tried a pilot mango wheat here, and it was delicious and refreshing, and very smooth with a strong mango flavor. Definitely needs to become part of the permanent summer lineup. I have had other mango wheat beers from different breweries and this was by far the best one. Clearly the brewer knew what they were doing with this one. The rest of the beer is very good too!“
