“We visited on Valentine's Day so it was probably unusually busy. The overall ambiance wasn't great, it felt like a basic and noisy pub. Not so great for couples as there were a lot of huge tables. The food was not gourmet but excellent - very tasty. The servers seemed very friendly, competent and experienced but were hampered by the kitchen being overwhelmed. Definitely good value for what we had. Totally okay as a place to grab a good meal - just don't expect a nice cozy ambiance....“

“We were staying at the hotel while my hubby had heart surgery and ate there our first night. THE FOOD AT ATMOSPHERE IS AMAZING!! The second night I made an order online but accidentally pushed the Westshore location...(I'm in Saanich) when I was pointed out my mistake the young man up front went to talk to his manager Jenn! She had my order ready so fast! No questions asked! It was very busy in there for a Wednesday night! You guys are awesome. Thankyou again! We will be back to the hotel Accent Inn and Bin 4!“

“Usually I love A&W food, but the breakfast sandwich I had was so greasy it was dripping and sliding apart. Worse sandwich I have ever had there.

UPDATE: A&W's manager invited back for a chance to make the meal right. I ordered the same meal and it was fantastic. Cooked perfectly and not a drop of grease, huge improvement. This is exactly what I expect from A&W.

We tried the juicy Lucy and it was one of the best burgers I have tried ever. Really juicy and prime quality meat with enough flavor from the other ingredients. “Great Keto lunch option downtown. They were happy to accommodate a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, and I swap from BBQ sauce to a mayo based sauce at no extra charge. Burger was fresh and delicious. This burger including cheese and bacon was $11 + tax“

“I’ve been going to this A&W location for 3 years. And now, I will leave a review. The food is always exceptional in comparison to other fast foods. (e.g. McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King.) The slight price hike in comparison to these chains is worth the raised quality of product you receive.

Service is outstanding as well, with an example being when I received a bacon, egg n cheese when I ordered a sausage. When I inquired with the worker at the front, I was immediately given a second breakfast sandwich without further questioning.

The atmosphere is good as well. However, sometimes there can be instances of tables being not cleaned after being used. Although, it’s the customers' moral responsibility to clean up after themselves; at least good enough for another person to use it afterwards.

Vegetarian options: There are no true vegetarian options as, Beyond Meat burger patties are cooked on the same surfaces as their standard beef patties. As well as, fries being cooked in the same oil as the chicken products.

Dietary restrictions: As for dietary restrictions, you are able to ask for a change of sauce, or removal of it entirely, and burger toppings can be removed and added to your liking.

Parking: Abundant parking. But, can be difficult to find a spot by the entrances.

Kid-friendliness: Has kids meals. Front staff are often handing out root beer lollipops to kids.

Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator that connects the top and bottom floors of the mall to get to the A&W.“

“I really enjoy this place, especially their Korean Pork Bulgogi—it’s so good that I keep coming back just for that. The food is consistently delicious, though I’ve noticed a few changes. They no longer serve miso soup when you dine in, which was always a nice touch. Sometimes the utensils are forgotten in the takeout bag, and if you order later in the evening, the food can arrive colder than expected. Despite these small issues, the quality and taste of the dishes always stand out, and it remains one of my favorite spots.“

“Our favourite A&W in Victoria. The quality of food is always stable and good. We love their organic coffee, freshly brewed all the time. Staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Sam, Henner, Susie, Geraldine and Mark in the kitchen too, who make customers feel welcomed. The place is always clean and tidy. “I’ve always loved this spot for their shawarma, but today I tried the burger—and wow. Easily one of the best (teriyaki) burgers I’ve ever had. Juicy, flavour-packed, and perfectly messy in the best way. Had it with a side salad, and the whole thing was just next level. Don’t sleep on the burger here—you’ll thank yourself later.“

“We came for Dine Around Victoria as a group of 4. The servers were absolutely lovely and the place wasn't too busy, but we had a couple of bummers on our visit :( First, the Dine Around menu advertised on Tourism Victoria showed up as $35 but was actually $40 in the restaurant, as well as having a different dessert advertised. (Not a huge deal, but still) Also, they were out of steaks and the key lime pie dessert, so a couple of our party had to go with backup options. Everything we ate was pretty good, just not quite what we were hoping for. The cauliflower appetizer was our favourite and the fish and chips were really good!“

“Visiting from Edmonton. Randomly chose the restaurant because we like to try small local restaurants when we travel. It was also close to our hotel and we liked the posted prices and menu items. One server, one chef, place was about half full. Service was faster than expected given only one server. Food was delivered fairly quickly, was hot and very tasty. Highly recommend it.“
