12 Best American Restaurants in Whistler

“I have updated my previous 1 star review to a 4-star review. I initially had a 5 star review pre covid and was disappointed in the menu changes and did not visit Tapleys for my next few visits to Whistler. I visit Whistler regularly every year (February, June, October, December).

I decided to try tapleys again after some time, and I enjoyed their chicken wrap. They were quick in getting our food out, and the cocktails were great. The owner reached out to me after my 1 star review by email, and it showed me they cared. So the customer service here is great.

I will make this a 5 star review if Tapleys ever brings back their platter. (Chicken wings, chicken tenders, dry rib bites, fries, and some vegetables with dip). It is great for groups, and if a higher price is warranted, I'm sure we wouldn't mind paying for the option.“

“We had such a wonderful pre dinner date night last night at Firerock. Our lovely bartender Nick made our night extra special, recommended us some of his favourite cocktails which were all delicious! We didn’t get any food this time as we already dinner plans but we’ll be back for food next time, everything we saw come out from the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. Highly recommend fire rock as a cosy spot for a date night.“

“I stopped by for breakfast and ordered the avocado toast, a bagel, and the berry waffle. The café has a nice vibe, and the staff was friendly, but the food was just average. The avocado toast was fresh but lacked seasoning, and the portion size was smaller than expected. The bagel was okay—nothing special. The berry waffle looked great but was a bit too sweet, and the berry topping wasn’t as flavorful as I hoped.
Overall, it’s an alright spot for a casual breakfast, but there’s room for improvement, especially given the price.“

“My GF and I both had the set special which was an extensive selection and included a half-off bottle of wine. Really enjoyed the roasted half chicken and mushroom soup. The tab came to half what paid for apps and drinks at Barefoot Bistro (which I'd rate a 5+ for atmosphere/food). So highly recommend for a great value night out with the family“
