“I’ve been looking forward to visiting peeked pies in whistler and have heard lots of nice things about it. I went for dinner and got a delicious Steak, Bacon and cheese peaked pie I was very surprised with how good it was and even had to order dessert. I got a fabulous lemon tart. I am definitely going again ?“
“This is a great bakery! I'm a little sad that I'd have to travel over 4 hours if I wanted it again. There were a plethora of offerings and the bakery doesn't really offer too many "traditional" pastries so I had hard time figuring out what exact were in the desserts. I do like when bakeries offer non-traditional pastries but I would've appreciated some ingredients listing underneath the name cards. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy, with the line going out the door. There are only a handful of seats inside, so staying wasn't really an option. There were two cash registers, one for drinks, other for food, but it seemed like only one side was open for ordering and the other side was for pickup. We ordered a bunch of pastries but I personally tried the salted caramel brownie cookie and the Devil's food cake. I'm impressed by the cake because here I am, eating it 2 days later and it's still moist. The cake was full of chocolate flavor and there was a good ratio of buttercream to cake. The brownie cookie was also quite good, particularly the cookie. It was soft and chewy and probably the best brownie cookie I've had from a bakery.“
“It is great to be able to have a couple of options for my daughter who can not have dairy. The chocolate chip vegan cookies are great!! The vegan chocolate loaf was very good. Tried the coconut banana loaf too much coconut for her. I got to finish the slice. Wished we would have went in the start of the week and not the last two day. There both days. Thank you again“
“4 star espresso - very hard to find. The people here are serious about their coffee, and it shows. Complex aromatic notes and beautiful balanced flavours, with some intense sweetness and acidity - excellent as an espresso and the acidity holds out well in a flat white. Highly recommended.“
“Cranked is always cranking with customers but you will always be served in a timely manner. I soy love getting my coffee from there daily and it’s always bean made to perfection. Cranked staff are all friendly, fun and wonderful. Thank you Natalia, Morgan, Jenna, Lori, Bella and Kikie for your brilliant coffees, food and service. You ladies are all an asset to the business and make the best coffee I have ever had in my life. Everyone get to Cranked you won’t regret it.“
“Ecologyst serves the best coffee in Whistler. The staff are attentive to detail and the food which is also delicious, is made with care. Our favourites are the Nutella and Lavender lattes (made with house made syrup!) and the toast - avocado & beans and the vegan tuna melt is just so tasty! The atmosphere is chilled and the staff are charming.“
“Not sure why the ratings are so low. We LOVED this place. Never been before, pastries were great. Loved the coffee. I wasn't totally a fan of the egg sandwiches, they were a bit plain, but that's just my personal preference. Service was slow but only because it seemed like they were really trying to do the best job they could and the line was horrendously long generally. Tim bits were“
“There is nothing special about this place. I wanted to try European crepes. I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't impressed either. The menu said 'crepes with berries,' but all we got was some kind of jam. My tip is to explore nearby bakeries instead.“
“Ed's Bred is a standout bakery that marries the art of sourdough with a commitment to plant-based, vegan baked goods. Ed’s sourdough bread is a revelation – perfect crust on the outside, tender crumb on the inside, and utterly delightful. It's not just bread; it's a testament to his dedication to quality and sustainability. Whether you're vegan or simply appreciate excellent bread, Ed's Bred is a must-visit in Whistler. The partners are a husband and wife team and they do a great job together.Grab a copy of their excellent cook book published last year while you’re at it and a jar of starter.“
