“this place is great and normally I love everything, the Mom and Pop vibes and the old fashioned style shop. the donuts are extremely good. and even though yesterday, the lady who works the counter was frowning at me the whole time, I still recommend them. but she really needs to stop that, it made me uncomfortable. the man working with her was polite, and she was saying polite things and being polite.. just with a look on her face that made me feel like I had inconvenienced her by coming in. heck, I still recommend them, everyone can have a bad day and a surly staff can be amusing.“

“Open EVERYDAY at the same time and closes at the same time EVERYDAY. First small business I’ve encountered in this town that follows basic business rules. Finally I can go somewhere and know they will be there for food, delicious drinks and solid consistent customer service. A smile, a conversation, eye contact that makes you feel connected not weird and awkward. Food is light fare but serves lots of hot sandwich options, great prices. Really well stacked sandwiches I can tell the owner is advanced and a fabulous cook. Well thought out menu and sooooo many drink options and coffee and lattes have the kick you need. No need for energy drinks after a real iced matcha! They are open until 3pm and the place is crazy clean. Get it while it’s good Humboldt! We got the turkey bacon sandwich on a baguette reminds me of a way better version of ramones. Also not dry at all. I got the hot ham and cheese on a croissant and it was like a simple hot Sammy like you’d get in New York…had some jelly on it. Light fare at a decent cost with a drive thru. Easy and healthy and local and quick“

“I just want to give A shout out to the Arcata Giunitoli manager and staff. They are always wonderful everyday no matter the time I stop in there. I stopped in recently on my birthday to see if they had started offering there VIP customers A free drink on there birthday. The company doesn't do the free drink on your birthday still. But the amazing manager said she'd buy my drink for my birthday. All the staff there always goes above and beyond. Keep up the great work your all appreciated.“

“I routinely come here and they are so nice and honestly underrated. They have really good everything and they are seldom crowded while other coffee places are a 15 minute wait. They have two windows. Look for the less crowded one because some people miss this.“

“Stopped by for some morning coffee and matcha with a relatively big group. The workers were sweet and efficient. Although we had a lot of drinks ordered, they were pretty quick with making them. Coffee was solid, they also were able to make it with honey which was a major plus. Also tried their matcha with honey which was alright as well. The place itself was spacious and welcoming to be in. Parking was easy to find. Definitely will be back if ever in the area!“

“Jitter Bean is my go to for coffee, always hot, always taste great. They roast their beans here locally, you can smell them roasting from their Broadway location. All their Baristas are amazing and work hard, long lines roll though their drive up very smoothly. They treat me and my dog amazing and remember us each time.“

“We love bakeries. Some days we stop at two or three as we travel through towns. The reviews said Ramone's was really good so we had to try them. As soon as we walked in and saw the cases our eyes lit up. Great selection of quality pastries and cakes. We settled on 2 orange-currant scones and a baby NY cheesecake just big enough for two. We ate one of the scones as soon as we got back in our vehicle and almost went back for more. Full of flavor and nice texture. We had the cheesecake for dinner dessert and yes, it was fantastic. One of the best cheesecakes we have had. You have to go to Ramone's if you are anywhere near Eureka. The only thing we are sorry about is we were out of town too far to go back for another cheesecake by the time we ate it. Super high marks. Thank you Ramone's.“
