We happened to be in town and he was so excited that Al's was still around, so he had to take me for the best breakfast.

Our server was THE BEST (!!!!) and has a bright future in business. We are visiting from Washington State, El Toro was recommended by local friends, and it did not disappoint! We will fly back to Fresno just to eat at El Toro Tortilleria!! My favorite tacos are shrimp and steak and the jalapeños are fire! The ceviche, chips, and drinks were also good. The tortillas is the highlight and they are so good we bought some to bring home. We hope to order them from the website. Thank you!!!“

“I would have to say the food, ambiance and service were excellent. I ordered the salmon and halibut and was satisfied with both especially the creamy corn sauces and bits of lobster. We ordered the bao as appetizer and that too was good and satisfying. I enjoyed the old fashion and coffee martini. Our servers ( James, didnt catch them all ) were all friendly and made the experience all the more beautiful. For an outdoor patio seating, I have to say it was such a perfect night. No mosquitos or bright lights and the surrounding space was beautiful. I like the design of the space. Thank you we would go back with others.“

This definitely will be considered like a hole in the wall, the plaza that it's in is pretty empty exception for a few small businesses and the restaurant itself is set up more like a food court. But do not sleep on their food it is bomb and fresh. Their staff is very friendly and fast. Did I also mention that it's very cost friendly.“

“We have had the opportunity to enjoy various dishes, from Ceviche to Enchiladas, Caldo Seafood Mix to Pescado Frito. The Shrimp Empandas and homemade corn tortillas are a treat as well. However, we tried their Shrimp Coctails, and they were pretty bland. But there are so many more dishes to try and sure to enjoy.

Btw - Their green salsa is fire and the Pescado Zarandeado is huge and delicious!“

“Just a heads up this taqueria is located inside the gas station store and has no indoor seating. It ended up being such an incredible find during our stop- I would give them 100 stars if I could. The servers were cheerful, polite & very helpful. They have specials on certain days of the week like taco Tuesday, burrito Wednesday and quesabirria Thursday ?

We got the adobada burrito & quesatacos with adobada. Absolutely loved it. At first this was going to be a short stop just to get gas on our way but we liked it so much we ended up stopping here a second time on the journey back. Thank you for the yummy food!“

“Found this place quite a few years ago, and always go back off and on because the food is pretty consistent. If you had it before, it's always the same. Tacos are, under $3 and not a bad size. I always get the wet burrito. Very good flavor. I can say it seems smaller now than before... Used to fill diagonally in a styrofoam container. The new box is smaller, see pics.

But it's still great! The carnitas are fried so they get nice and crispy before they make the burrito which I think gives it much better flavor.

Prices are not bad, regular burrito is 7.99. compared to some places that charge 16 for one that's a good price as is the price of tacos.

The staff is awesome. I asked tons of questions about an item and they didn't mind.

They do offer some items not on the menu but rather on a stand up board... They have had champurrado before. The last time I was there they had ...caldo de res, menudo, pozole, albondigas, taquitos de pollo and a chilerelleno. I could not read the rest there due to the rain washing it out.

“My partner and i usually have a good experience when we come eat here. This afternoon around 12pm we came for a late breakfast/lunch. The food didn’t taste the same as before. The chips tasted stale and the Machaca Burrito the tortilla was burnt like flaky burnt, the asada torta we ordered also the meat tasted old. Like I said we usually have a good experience here. The food is always great. Maybe they got a different cook or something but it just wasn’t the same this time. We been coming here for years and really enjoy.“
