“We came to San Francisco from the UK and were looking for authentic Nepali food. Among the many Nepali restaurants, we chose Gurung Kitchen, and it turned out to be a great decision. The hospitality and service from Tamang baini were excellent, making us feel very welcome. The food was truly authentic Nepali style—especially the pork jhir, jhol momo, and all the curries, which were cooked just like back home in Nepal. Thank you for the wonderful food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend Gurung Kitchen to anyone looking for genuine Nepali cuisine in San Francisco! KUDOS“

“Our daughter found Rose Indian Cuisine on Google Reviews and we were so glad that she did! Great location near the Golden Gate Botanical Gardens. This place was one of the best meals we had during our vacation. We had a cauliflower dish, Gobi Manchurian. Honestly the most delicious cauliflower dish eaten; it was gone before the other appetizers arrived!!! The entrees were also tasty and the naan beyond fabulous. The meal ended with chai tea. Highly recommend dining here for delicious food and spectacular service!!“

“I was invited here by a friend. I've eaten at a lot of mediocre Nepalese places in the Bay Area and had low expectations. Basecamp blew me away. The food was overall delicious- fresh and interesting- and the service was genuinely friendly and on point. The decor is fun, dish ware festive and it was boisterous and full on a Saturday night at 8p. The samosa were solid- hot and not oily and came with a delicious fresh green sauce, a (Nepalese crepe) was very interesting but like a flat omlete, we got the veggie Momos on the recommendation of my friend who said they were the best ones, the shrimp chow mein was unexpected with firm noodles, lots of large shrimp and a dry spice, and lastly the Cashew Curry with chicken. The curry was outstanding- creamy, flavorful and unique. We mopped it up with the Tumeric Rice. If you've had some mediocre Nepalese dining experiences, I recommend you fix that with a meal at Basecamp.“

“Very nice place, my family came here for late night cravings and did not leave disappointed. Such amazing food everything looked great, I had the vegetarian malifa kalfi, to mention they also had a great amount of vegetarian options, I couldn't get enough of my food it was delicious, the Britain looked great, and the Haan wasn't to soft to be chewy and weird and not so hard to be burnt and unjoyable but it was perfectly cooked to pair with rice and curry. Dont know how to share pictures but if I did you would be blessed by how good it looked, tasted so so good, again the malai kofta was MIND BLOWING, great food and even better service, the owner and server was so kind and giving,“

“The owner is very sweet! I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years, sometimes 3+ times a month🙈🤣 I always get the chicken tikka masala & chicken Cho mein, (I ask for both Spicy but you can get any level of heat you prefer) & a side of the garlic naan. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu but those are my favorite! The owner has always been very accommodating, I’m a picky eater & this is one place I come and know I’m going to get a good meal.“

“It’s my first time getting Indian food in San Francisco, and I was very satisfied with eating at Noe Indian Cuisine.
Our server Subi was very friendly, kind, and sweet. The food (samosa, chicken tikka masala, chicken biriyani, naan) was all delicious and freshly cooked. The two of us really enjoyed all of the food and had nothing left on our plates.
We will definitely come back soon in the future.“
“I’ve tried momos all over the city, but this place is the Steph Curry of dumpling game: all-star, unmatched, and absolutely clutch. The sauce? Legit. Don’t sleep on it -Night Night
I came back from Kathmandu six months ago with a high momo bar... and this spot crushed it. We're talking texture that makes you want to write poetry, proportions that feel engineered by NASA, and flavor so authentic you'd swear it came with a Nepali passport.
The owners? Straight outta Kathmandu, and you can taste their roots in every bite. Plus, they're incredibly sweet—like, the kind of people who’d rescue your dumpling if it fell on the floor.
You won’t be disappointed unless you order too few.“

“Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had! The vindaloo, tikka masala, and butter chicken are spiced to perfection and the sauces are a beautiful consistency. The space is always clean and quiet, with a big window. Service is quick and attentive.“

“This Nepali-Indian spot in San Francisco stands out for its exceptional balance of flavor, aroma, and authenticity. The momos are easily the highlight-perfectly shaped, generously filled, and steamed to a soft, delicate texture. Each bite carries a rich, savory depth, especially when paired with their bold, slightly spicy chutney.
What really elevates the experience is the kitchen's mastery of spices. The curries are not just flavorful-they're layered. You can taste the careful blend and slow cooking process, where every spice feels intentional rather than overpowering. The aroma alone sets the tone before the first bite, with warm notes of garlic, ginger, and toasted spices filling the air.
The sauces are smooth and well-balanced, whether it's a creamy curry or a more robust, traditional gravy. Nothing feels rushed or artificial-everything tastes thoughtfully prepared. Combined with fresh naan and a comforting atmosphere, this place delivers a genuinely satisfying experience that reflects both Nepali and Indial ary traditions at their best.“

“Seems like a family owned place. Had a Veg thaali, malai kofta with rice and samosa chaat.
Samosa chaat was so friggin good, the best I've had in my life. Thaali came with dal, non-blended palak paneer, cucumber+carrots, rice and naan and it was the best thaali I've had so far. Loved the palak paneer. The kofta was so tasty too. The kofta gravy smelled a little oily but it was still really good.
10/10 place. The restaurant was pretty empty though. No idea why. If you're in SF, this place is a must visit for good meals.“
