“First time in CA as an adult. Stopped by at Handel’s Homemade IC in Walnut Creek, CA. It was raining, and near store closing, and I was slightly sick.

I got the 4-combo sampler, with Mango Sherbet + Pistachio + Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie + OD (Ooohh Dough) and it was great. Shared it with others but I ended up finishing most of it.

Only thing that sucked is we had to run back in rain with the plastic lid closed. But otherwise the taste was great. I finished the rest of it in the car. My favorite was either CPB or OD, but the Pista was good too.

I’ll give it a pass. Nice ice cream shop; and they have a lotta flavors. Hope to be back if I’m in the area again.“

“The ice cream flavors are unique and unusual in some cases. I had peanut butter brittle with caramel and fudge – it was delicious! My daughter had strawberry, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper. It was quite unusual, but she said it was really good. Give it a try.“

“This is our favorite sweet treat spot. We usually come here on Wednesdays after my daughter gets out of school, just a reward to making it to Wednesday. We sometimes come on weekends, just dependent on whether we're in the area. There's one woman who works there in the afternoons, and she's so personable. She's given recommendations for toppings with certain flavors and always knows my need to sample the new flavors before adding to my bowl. We were there last week, and the young man helping us with tasting the new flavors was really kind.

They also support the school in the area which I love. Their customer service and community support cause me to continue supporting their business.“

“I saw a sign for gourmet ice cream and I obviously had to stop in. This place beyond exceeded my expectations! I got the saffron pistachio ice cream and it is one of the most delicious ice creams I've ever had. Perfect balance of sweet and mild and I can see myself craving this. “Yogurt Land had excellent flavors, fresh fruit, and toppings galore. The only reason it's a 4, not a 5, is due to the price. There were 5 of us, and the cost was $42. It is a little high and makes it hard to frequent with a larger family.“

“I've never tried Yomie's other locations in Sydney and elsewhere, but I was curious about their concoction after reading reviews and drove over on a Monday around dinnertime. It shares its space with Full House Cafe, between Bank of America and H&R Block. There was absolutely no wait at all, and my drink came out in under 5 minutes. Although the prices are a little high, I personally enjoyed my original purple rice yogurt drink ($6.15, w/o tax). I tried to ask for it at 50% sweetness, based off other reviewers' opinions that the yogurt was too sweet, but the staff said it wasn't possible for this particular drink.That said, I thought the tang of the yogurt does come through (it reminds me of Yakult, but nicely thicker), and found the purple rice pleasantly toothsome and not too overcooked, as others have stated. For what it's worth, my husband isn't so much a fan of purple rice, and did not like this drink (haha). Honestly, I'm not sure the combination was a match made in heaven, as I was very aware of the yogurt flavor and texture, separate from the rice texture... but I enjoyed the snack overall! May at some point come back to try their other flavors, perhaps if there's ever a promotion...“

“This coldstone is pretty good. After eating at Don Hao, which is the best Chinese Food in the Bay Area and right next door, we ordered a Oreo inspired ice cream cake to go. It was $40 which is on the pricey side but it was so damn good! I ate like 4 servings which was a crap ton or calories but so worth it! 😉

“Why is it so hard to get a waffle cone in the San Leandro Location? Today i went looking foward to nice waffle cone with some butter pecan ice cream and there was no one else in the store but me and 2 workers and the guy helping me who did not even speak till i did said they dont have any waffle cones. I asked him if he could make some and he said no he cant. Why?? u are not doing anything else? Annoying!! This is like the 5th or 6th time I have come here and they dont have waffle cones! i used to work on the BR in San Francisco years ago and it takes a whole minute to make a waffle cone. Today it was in the morning but no matter what time it is, it seems like a struggle or an issue for your employees to make a waffle cone that is on the menu“

“8-Twelve is a true neighborhood gem. It is the kind of place where kids can grab a snack and a fun drink for a reasonable price, and then just relax after school. Even though it is not as close to the middle or high school as some of the other hangouts, it has become one of our favorites.

I appreciate that it has lasted the test of time and I hope it continues to thrive. One of the best parts is that they offer non-caffeinated tea drinks for the kids, which is rare and so thoughtful.

The ice cream/frozen yogurt itself is really good, but it takes a couple of trips to find your favorite one. The pomegranate is my favorite flavor, and there are many toppings to choose from. The only thing that bugs me a bit is when the gummies are in the ice cream, it makes them very chewy.“
