“this is a must try. it is one of my favorite places in the SGV and is easily the best sichuan restaurant i have ever been to. i strongly recommend the zajiangmian, and all of the cold dishes. the sliced pork with garlic sauce is standout. i have not tried much else from their menu yet, but i would feel confident ordering any dish. the portions are generous and the pricing is fair. if you like sichuan food, get in your car right now and get over here. it’s worth it.“

“We tried the three flavor broth hot pot, where you can choose three flavors. I like the mushroom broth, my wife likes the spicy Mala pot, and our child likes the tomato pot. This way, all three of us can enjoy our preferred flavors in the same pot. The lamb slices were thick and substantial; one plate was enough for us to enjoy. The restaurant's ambiance was great, with a pleasant atmosphere. The only thing was that the music was a bit monotonous; I listened to Blackpink all evening.“

“Popped in on a whim & ordered beef noodle soup (medium spicy). It was delicious! The noodles weren't soggy & there was lots of meat in the soup. The man who took my ordered offered me a chili paste oil, that was spicy salty deliciousness! I already want to visit again to try the beef roll & scallion pancake.“

“I have to say the taste was really good, truly the authentic flavor of Sichuan. However, they don’t accept reservations or phone bookings, and you have to go to the restaurant to get a spot, which is a bit inconvenient. We ordered three dishes, and each portion was quite large and very spicy. The service and taste were both good. The only downside was the wait for a table—we waited for 40 minutes.“

“Authentic Chengdu Flavor - A Must-Try!
Delicious Chengdu is a gem in Los Angeles for anyone craving authentic Chengdu flavors. The signature dishes, like the Spicy Fish, Mouthwatering Chicken, and classic Blood Curd Hotpot, are bursting with the true spicy and savory tastes of Sichuan cuisine. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff are friendly, offering great recommendations. For those who love spicy food, this place is a paradise!“

“We stumbled upon this really great “street” Sichuan food and decided to wait in line with the rest of the crowd. The place is small, but definitely worth the wait in line. Even after we sat down and ate people were still waiting outside to order food and eat inside. My biggest complaint was all the plastic utensils you had to eat with. It really made the food taste horrible. You cannot eat soup with chopsticks. I’d gladly pay a few extra dollars and eat off of real silverware. Had it not been for the plastic garbage we had to use I would have given the place all 5 stars.“

“All 6 of our family members love this place. It's our default spot for comfort and the perfect meal to end a long day. I probably wrote a review somewhere else but they deserve so much praise. Like everyone says, everything is so good, fresh ingredients and when you eat there, every dish is out with smoke straight from the wok. Seating is limited, so getting to-go is the easier option. Our usual dishes: Dry Pot Pork Ribs, Broccoli/Fish filet, noodles, house special pork ribs, tea smoked duck and mapo tofu. I wish I can try everything else on the menu!“

“The two of us went to Sichuan Market one day last week to sample dinner. The price is not expensive and the ingredients are fresh. We both don't have big appetites, so we didn't order much. The waiter (perhaps the boss) was very humble and polite, and the service was still attentive; the boiled beef ordered was tender and delicious, and the desserts were also good. Like this and thank you.“

“I ordered three takeaways and waited for 45 minutes. To be honest, I was really unhappy. But thinking about it, the store was busy. If I were the boss, I guess the takeout would be delayed. The most important thing is that the boss and employees have very good attitudes and keep apologizing. I was also given a bottle of drink. I tried it when I got home and it tasted good. I’ll call next time so I don’t have to wait. Well, thank you boss for the drink. I wish you a happy new year and a prosperous business.“

“The green beans and kung pao chicken were the favorites. The xiao long bao dough was a little thick for our liking and didn’t hold together well so we didn’t get much of the broth sadly. Great rice noodles as well! Would come back just for the green beans, kung pao chicken, and rice noodles. Quick service and very reasonably priced for the amount we got!“
“Comrades who love spicy food must not miss this restaurant. Every now and then I get greedy and I will order one. The taste is very special. I order all spicy food but I still don’t think it’s spicy enough. I’m the only one who loves spicy food at home. Sometimes I want to order more. Force your family to eat the same dish, hahaha“

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)“

“Loved the hotpot here. Lots of variety and you can pick an choose to your hearts desire. The free side bar has plenty of sauces and dips to choose from. Good selection of deserts and fun foods. The restaurant itself is dressed in a vintage Chinese Cabana style decorand there are a few divided cabins you can sit in besides the main floor. Adds a little bit of ambiance to your dining experience. Service is very exceptional and fast. They are very attentive and alert to all your needs and requests. Very polite and professional. Hotpot can be very monotonous but the different dishes they offer here will surely satisfy anyone's craving whether it be meat, veggies, seafood or other exotic dishes they offer. First time here for me and definitely my new hotpot hotspot.
Vegetarian options: They don't have a vegetarian menu but they do have plenty of vegetables, tofu, mushroom varieties and quite a few others like sweet potatoes, konjac knots..you get the picture. A vegetarian won't go hungry here that's for sure.“

“It's more like a new-style morning tea. The environment is pretty good and the dishes are pretty good. The service is very good. The roasted duck on the copper plate is okay. The skin is thin and crispy. The meat is very tender. The baked rice with seafood is in white sauce and has almost no taste. It's average. The black gold quicksand buns taste like the ones I bought in the supermarket. The mangosteen beef balls are almost as delicious as the barbecued pork rice rolls with mushrooms added in them.“

“Came to place because I like the confidence.
It's a a good noodle house, one of the better ones been too. Good combo of soup and noodles flavor was all on point.
The service was great, and for the price you get a good amount of food.“
“The guy at the front desk was very nice. I ran out of change and looked for it in many stores but couldn't find it. He even gave me change even if I didn't buy anything. His attitude was also very good. I will definitely try it next time!“

“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!“
