“Nice spot on the south end of York to share beers and hang with friends! Plenty of seating indoors with a nice enclosed patio in back. Darts, board games, etc. seating for two or large parties. Pizza is solid with a good variety of in-house beers.?Parking: May have to look around for parking on weekends. Not too far away, though.“
“We tried a bunch of plates out between all the family, some plates we tried out were the am chowder, calamari rings, fish and chips, pulled pork sliders, sweet potato fries, asada fries and more I cannot remember the names of, but I did take pictures for your convenience. I also have all beers from the tap in pictures and videos.Overall, we were satisfied with service and portions that are OK for the prices. The staff was super friendly and quick, so I'd recommend you guys try them out.“
“Checked out another local pub, I was completely enchanted by Roxy, the Bartender, more of a mom to the neighborhood regulars and, dare I say it, a true tavern matron from those D&D games. In her 20 years she went through the two owners, having been let go in the crossover, she was brought back to roust the unsavory elements of the pub and to restore order. She has done so and created a little haven for the locals. I hadn't been here for 15 years, and she remembered me ? There is pool, darts, the jukebox, which played stuff from this decade, but of course, you haven't truly been in a hometown bar until Toby Keith is belting out "I love this bar." Like he has brain damage, but that anthem, sung by regulars and travelers passing through winking and pointing and crooning, well it's a camaradrie that is sweet in it's loyalty and stamina. The locals who inhabit this bar work in the biggest industry we have, and are affected by the strike. Roxy, the true treasure here in this gem of a local spot, was making a comfy amount of money as a Business Manager for a Corporation. She retired, and now she runs Gilligan's 4 nights a week ❤️“
“purposely came due to the nostalgic aspect of it being in the movie Halloween III. super cool vintage vibe just like from the Tom Atkins scene in the movie. great beers on tap and clean bathroom. bartender had a very nice British accent and was very accommodating. a buddy of mine was with me and we got to hang out with some of the bar regulars. they shared stories about the area and gave us some real nice recommendations in regards to film locations. we took some pics with the bartender and regulars before making our way to the famous church from the movie THE FOG. definitely stop by and grab some drinks if you're in the area !!“
“This bar is my favorite hang. Karaoke on Thursdays is better than any spot in the city, any night. Bartenders are all friendly and quick with service. The smoking patio out back is very comfy and nice to chill at. And Dave does a custom kitchen service on peak days out back. Drink prices are very fair. The crowd that frequents this place is very cool, and very friendly. I can have a great time with great people for a reasonable price, any time. 10/10“
“We had a networking event for college students and industry professionals and the Chloe's venue and staff were amazing! The food was delicious and the staff was accommodating with all our requests. This was the first time we hosted an event like this and they were great at rolling with the punches as we figured stuff out. The space was unique and fit our needs perfectly. They were able to play whatever kind of music we wanted and had a mic on hand. We wanted to split up into different groups throughout the night and there was so much space to spread out. We also enjoyed using the pool table at the end of the evening. Highly recommend this venue!“
“Stop by here on a Saturday afternoon while scouting for the Kaiser Vision Essentials building that was supposedly located nearby and on top of that, was also an excuse to use the Metro Rail to gauge the walking distance between the station and both of these businesses. The address notes it as being located on Catalina Ave so I was under the impression that the business 'front' would be facing the street like how the other businesses that line up the corner closest to the Colorado Blvd but it's not. It's actually wedged between a take out American BBQ restaurant and an open air parking lot. On the side of the building that belongs to the same BBQ restaurant is a 12x12 tiny ass logo on the building with an arrow pointing you down this non-descript alleyway. This non-descript alleyway looks like any other industrial alleyway: grey concrete, surrounded by open-ring fences, telephone poles, and random ass vehicles parked on the side closest to the open air parking lot. Once you've walked down far enough, there's a small black signage to your left pointing to a non-descriptive black building where there's a small flight of stairs that you walk down and that's T Boyle Tavern. Once inside, you're greeted with this woodsy, rustic inn type of decor. Front of bar is quite literally directly in front of you as you walk down the flight of stairs. There are several wooden high top tables and chairs just before you reach the bar area. TV's line that entire wall plus to the two sides of the establishment that are tuned into sports. Men's restrooms are to the left 'corner' from the front entrance and women's restrooms are to the right 'corner' from the front entrance. There's a small flight of stairs on the women's restrooms side that leads up to presumably a part of the open air parking lot. Well gins are $6, while well whiskeys and well vodkas are $12. To the right of the bar area are some TV's that lists the beers that they have on tap for the week. They ranged between $6-10. They serve regular food, mostly finger foods like burgers, sandwiches, fries, amd chicken fingers. The menu will be given to you when you head up to the front of bar. I ordered a Bourbon Old Fashioned, a Vodka Soda and a Gin and Tonic. Then I ordered a beer whose name I forgot off the TV menu. I think they tasted fine. They can't make the 'fancier' cocktails because they don't have the ingredients for them so if that's your cup of tea, this is not your spot for that. This is more of a beers on tap with some basic cocktails and well drinks. Ambiance. This place feels like one of those spots that you'd take large groups of friends amd family to watch sports and knock back a few brewski's. It was quite dead in the afternoon save for a few elderly family groups present that were apparently relatives of the bartenders. They take credit cards. Enough said. Service. The male bartenders seemed friendly enough. Parking. I don't normally talk about parking but because this place is located in Pasadena, where there's more parking restrictions relative to other areas, you'd want to know where you can park cheaply or free, ideally. Street parking lining up and down Catalina Ave are two hours max between 9AM-6PM. Any time after that should be free. There's the open air parking lot that is not cheap but not DTLA expensive. I didn't catch a good glimpse of the rates unfortunately but I vaguely recall it being stupid expensive for just a few minutes of parking but if you pay the daily rate maximum, it's in the high single digits. All in all, I think it's better to just take the Metro Rail and take the scenic 20-minute walk over to the place than to drive here, at least during the day time. Not too sure how the area would look later at night. I came away with a pretty positive experience of this place and would probably stop by again to try out their food on my next visit.“
“Every once in an awhile you have an unbelievable waiter and they make your entire week and perspective on life feel better. We just moved to town and had the pleasure of being served by Nikki. We love this place! The food was great the service was exceptional and we will be coming back soon.“
“Love the Copper Still Grill. You can get full on appetizers. I usually get shrimp and chicken wings. This time I was with a friend she got onion rings and they were the best. The staff r not really assigned to one table so they all pass by to check on you. Awesome place.“
“I'm giving a full five stars because it's genuinely what it claims to be: a tavern. This is not a national chain of tavern replicas. It's the real thing. Wirtshaus Roter Löwe would be a more accurate name. The menu and beer selection is exclusively German. The food was okay. It would not be my first choice for a fine German meal. But it's a tavern, so I'm okay with the three entries we were served. They had 10 German beers on tap in a broad range of styles, including the excellent Hofbräu Delicator, which I had never previously had the opportunity to try. There's upper and lower seating. The lower area is the better choice for a tavern atmosphere. The furnishings are solid, comfortable and well worn. The single bartender/waitress in the lower area was overworked, but still friendly. The restroom needed cleaning and the carpets are worn, but it's a tavern. If you're looking for the real thing and not a sanitized replica, this is a solid choice.“
“My OG go to bar for Pasadena. Popular fun and affordable. The staff is great and if you ride a motorcycle parking is free and unlimited. Bands are usually way more entertaining than expected. The patios and outside are huge and always a great overflow when it gets popular. Cheap drinks , thanks!“
“Yeah it's an English Pub but man can they turn into an Irish Pub when it's St.Payricks Day. We had a great time and even though you had to wait in line it went fast. Food was great with the traditional corn beef and cabbage and the corn beef was like butter to the fork. Amazing. And we also had fish and chips. That fish was crispy on the outside and a fat white portion of fish on the inside. And you know I had to put malt vinegar on it. The waiter suggested Guinness with a mixture of Framboise which is a raspberry Belgium beer I love. It worked great. This is my favorite quiet Lucky Baldwins and then if you want a higher energy head to Old Town Pasadena to that Lucky Baldwin. They both are great.“
“Amazing place to meet up with friends and watch fútbol on the weekends! Even when it was raining Sunday morning, everyone there to watch the games were all super friendly and all of the staff were accommodating! I will definitely be back because of the overall atmosphere!!!“
“STEPH JUDGEMENT: A casual, comfortable bar with weekend happy hour FTW! We'd been to the Blind Donkey in downtown Long Beach a few times but had no idea there were other locations. We'd come out of an art show at the Armory nearby and wanted to grab a drink and a snack in the area before heading back. While wandering around, I happened to spot their sign down a side street and we decided to investigate. The ambiance was open and inviting, with many windows letting in the sunshine--very different from the Long Beach location, which is cool but underground. There were a bunch of fun and interesting signs and items on the walls, and they also had a parklet outside. It was fairly busy on a Sunday afternoon--the people perhaps drawn in by their weekend Happy Hour, but their prices seemed reasonable overall anyway. We decided to sit at the bar and I got an old fashioned and the hubby a whiskey sour, and we decided to share a grilled cheese sandwich. Everything was excellent, especially the sandwich, which was pressed panini-style and served with pickle chips that were an unexpected and awesome accompaniment--the little zing of acid really livened up the cheese and bread. The bartenders were cool, and it was a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We wouldn't hesitate to return the next time we're in the area.“
“Wanted to come on here and show some love for an awesome night. I love a place that is exactly what it’s meant to be. To me, Tam offers a historical story, great food, and casual high end service. Amaya was personable and the rest of our wait staff were attentive but not overly so. They allowed my friends and I to enjoy our meal from start to finish. Prince Charles was juicy with good flavor. The spinach was seasoned and not too creamy. You must get the brisket on with the gravy fries. The drink selection was top tier with a good selection of beers, spirits, and creations. Honestly everything I’d want a Scottish establishment to be.“
“What can I say apart from I had a blast here with my friends we were a party of 10 and they were constantly helpful. The cauliflowers were extremely good they were crispy not soggy or anything and the sauce was slightly spicy, delicious with the ranch. This place actually serves their whiskey sours with EGG WHITE. FINALLY ! I would come for those two things again.“
“I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The bartender was helpful and attentive. Beer selection is above average which has a good selection of stouts, ciders or IPAs. Good spot in the area for food and drinks. The Fish and chips are a pretty big deal!“
“Yecxy was the BEST server she was so helpful and gave the best recommendations! the restaurant was amazing and i couldn't recommend more! the pineapple ale was amazing and they offer testers before you have a drink to make sure you like it! Go to this restaurant! Great vibe, amazing food, great music!“
“Very nice bar with a very Irish atmosphereThe outside of the restaurant is quite neutral, but the inside is really nice!A lot of space, a lot of activities (Ping-pong, darts and pool)A very diverse choice of liquor and alcohol wich is very nice !“
“I was in the area and was hungry after a workout, so I check it out.Customer service was cool and by the bartender, even though I got to self seat near the bar. I had the mixed organic salad with chicken and side salmon. This salad was probably one of the best salads I’ve had for its style. The chicken was tender and the salmon was cooked perfectly. An amazing protein packed after workout meal. I didn’t expect it to be that good but on my list for top salads of all time. Had that sweet and tangy taste coupled with the fresh greens. The proteins made it best.I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.“
“We chose Golden Road for its vegan options. I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito and it was delicious! Made with Just Egg, vegan cheese, tater tots & avocado, I highly recommend it.The other order was a plant-based burger. The brioche bun was fresh and all together was made perfectly! Also highly recommended.“
“I am leaving this review mostly to respond to a previous review posted by Salma. I attended the Tottenham v Chelsea game too. It was my first time at the Greyhound. I sat at the bar as it was the only seat available. I witnessed everything she experienced and posted about. I, however, have a different perspective and would not tag the bar with a horrible review. The fact of the matter is this is a dedicated Tottenham bar. I am a regular at a dedicated Steeler bar where no one is allowed to enter wearing another team's colors when the Steelers are playing. You can wear neutral colors and cheer for the opposing team, but you will be vastly outnumbered and, people who cheer for other teams, do so quietly knowing the "rules." I can't imagine that anyone cheering for another team would experience the treatment Salma described at the Steeler bar I go to. But, who in their right mind would go to a dedicated Raider bar and loudly cheer for the Chiefs especially when the opposition is winning? The bar is loud. It is too crowded. Many of the fans are obnoxious, but the food is good, the team spirit is off the charts, and the staff do the best they can. I mean, what else do you expect at a premier league game? I will return tomorrow for the game against Nottingham.“
“Dublin's is a perfect place to go on a first date! The atmosphere is so cozy, the lighting is on the dim side, and there's a wide variety of beer of tap. They were actually out of the beer I wanted, and the waitress recommended one that I ended up loving. Great service, atmosphere, and cozy tables/booths!“
“This place is perfect if you want a laid back location to watch some sports, eat pizza, and have a drink. My group was so happy to find Altadena Ale & Wine House after striking out in crowded Pasadena - next time we will skip Pasadena entirely and come straight here.“
