“Great pizza, wonderful staff! Food was ready for pick up on time and delicious, especially love the crust! Online order was a breeze and they have a lot of online specials. Great first try. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend it!“
“The sandwich is just perfect! The Italian sandwich is a must try!I wish it came with a pickle without having to pay an extra $1 for it. The sandwich is pretty pricey to come without any pickles.Black sesame dessert was also good but it would have been so much better if it was warm or fresh. Very hard to cut through.“
“Really great spot for families and folks looking to have a relaxed casual meal or watch the game.Kid-friendliness: The environment is Kidd friendly and they have a great kids meal options like burger, hot dog, or grilled cheese etc. for $12 that comes with a side, a drink and a scoop of ice cream for dessert.“
“10/10 recommend. So flavorful and delicious. It’s always busy and for good reason. My friend who joined me is vegetarian and said the falafel was to die for. My grilled chicken plate was perfect and the portions are great. Two meals in one!“
“I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at!Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well“
“Honestly, came here for the 4.9 rating on Google and the place honestly didn’t disappoint! David is super duper friendly, helped us with some questions and had a smile througout. That’s what i guess good customer service is. They have pizza slices but we ordered a small pesto chicken pizza and it is the BEST i have had till date. The pesto had a nice tangy flavor to it, chicken was cooked to perfection and the crust had just that perfect crunch! This place is a MUST visit. Thank me later :)“
“Every time we come here the food and service are excellent, wonderful chicken and shish kebabs...hummus is creamy, to die for, the pita is wonderfully grilled to perfection and the right amount of crispy and soft. The seasoning is perfect, the portions are amazing you will not go home hungry! we come here often and the wait staff are always amazing, very nice and helpful. theres a lot of Mediterranean and Armenian places here in Glendale but this place should definitely be on your radar if you're looking for a great place just beyond the hustle of downtown Glendale.“
“Authentic Chinese food specializing in noodles. Beef and pork on the limited menu, no chicken.House special fried noodles with pork was excellent. Also had pork meatballs and cilantro pork dumplings. All excellent and a nice proportion.Only 6 tables, luckily 1 available when we arrived at 1:20 pm. We will come back.“
“This place is like a wayyyyy better Panera with delicious sandwiches and salads. Also a lot of veggie options and customization in the app. This will become a fairly regular place for us after recent visits. The tofu banh mi is awesome and the salads have so much great tasting and healthy stuff in them. The Japanese chili dressing should be bottled! Definitely try this spot out.“
“I was in the area for work and a coworker actually recommended this place to me! It seems to be one of those trusty college delis that suddenly appeared one day and permanently becomes student lore. Inside, I found a quant mini-market stocked with a bunch of snacks, drinks, and the counter for ordering. The worker (i forgot his name!) helped us immediately, and I ordered the pastrami. I sat outside, where there were plenty of tables with shade! The worker brought out the sandwich to us, and I thought it was huge! The price seemed a bit high for ne, but that wasn't too big of a concern since the sandwich was jam packed with meat and kraut. The flavor wasn't too salty for me, and had the right amount of flavor with the bread. This was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by again.“
“Fave spot in LA and order here at least 2-3x a week. Best, most creamiest hummus I’ve had in my life. Rice is cooked to perfection every time. Both their salads are delicious and refreshing, Tabouleh Oaxaca Salad is a must try. Taco plate with chicken and cauliflower is my go-to. Everything is fresh and packed with flavor. Prices are affordable/reasonable and portions are perfect. Owners are super friendly and you can tell they put a lot of care and passion into their food.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly.Parking: Has its own parking lot. About 7 spaces.“
“The pizza was so good! Extra thin crispy crust, a mild tomato sauce, and delicious mozzarella. We got the four meat, and it was so savory and delicious. Highly recommend! For two moderately hungry people, one pizza is the perfect size to share.“
“We visit Salt & Olive anytime we visit Glendale. It is our absolute favorite atmosphere! Customer service is superb as well as their music. Most importantly, the quality of food is beyond words - never disappoints. *chefs kiss* ?☺️“
“I went into this cafe thinking it was exclusively bakery and espresso not knowing that it's literally a full on restaurant brunch spot!!! I will definitely be returning to try some food menu items but the lattes I ordered were more than just a glimpse into what the staff at highly likely are capable of!!! Veryyyy aesthetically pleasing! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating!“
“This is one of my favorite pizza places now. The photo gallery in their website totally does the pizza justice. It is as good as it photographs! I never had Detroit-style pizza. I don't take part in the Great Pizza Debate with regional styles vying for Best Pizza Ever. Pizza is either good or it's average. The flavors and textures between cheese, crust and sauce are either balanced and each component delicious, or the magic just doesn't happen. Whenever I try thick, rectangular pizza slices I'm always disappointed in either sauce, cheese, or crust. I always hoped that pizza would taste like these slices. This pizza is the paradigm of what a thick square slice of pizza should be-- a sauce that is deliciously balanced between sweet, tangy, and savory-- the perfect intermediary between cheese and carbs. Speaking of carbs, a nice thick crust, just doughy enough to feel your teeth sink into, but with the edges perfectly carmelized to support the slice as it makes its way to your pizza pie-hole. The cheese was-- well, cheese, but cheese that goes all the way to the edge of the crust, caramelized to a deep golden brown against the pie pan. On this maiden visit, we tried both the Margherita and the Biggio. The Biggio is their version of a meat lover's pizza-- pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon. The ham and bacon, however, lent a smoky flavor -- almost too barbecue-ish -- for a non-bbq pizza. I know this is Detroit pizza but it was almost a little too un-Italian to us. The Margherita pizza, on the other hand, was crave-worthy. The cheese, sauce, and crust converged into a balance of flavor -- sweet, savory, and tangy, as well as texture -- doughy, crispy, the cheesy stretchiness, the caramelized edges.... I thought this slice was pizza, pure and simple, delicious in its simplicity. Even the tomato slices seemed to be cut the right thickness. I got ours to-go and tried calling ahead-- several times. No go, so I had to order when I got there. The pizzaria (suite #203) lives on the second floor of a two story mini-mall, overlooking the street-side dining lanes on Colorado. The parking lot is also on the second floor which is convenient, the entrance of which is on Mentor, just south of Colorado. Our order took 20 minutes to prepare-- well worth the wait. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Their Caesar was a mix of iceberg and romaine and was fine. Just know that their Caesar salads are tossed-- a dealbreaker for some if you're not into lifeless salads. Just remember this if you're ordering to-go and have to drive a ways before digging in. There is no soda fountain in the restaurant. Beverages are canned. After trying their pizza I appreciate this. I also liked how their menu is simple-- there are just two salads offered and most importantly their pizza, but really, their pizza is all you'll really need. Detroit or otherwise, it's just really good pizza.“
“Completely on par with some of the competition for a good sandwich, Bodega Park does swing for the fences with great ingredients and balance. Just near the 2nd famous Silverlake corner, parking is challenging during busy hours as meter parking is your only nearby option other than parking in the residential streets just minutes away. The turkey is thinly sliced and flavorful. The Coppola savory goodness. The choice for Fontina Cheese is excellent. The breakfast items are hearty and delicious. The Chopped Cheese sandwich is reminiscent of some East Coast vibes. Drinks are your usual cafe-style creations with coffee being much of the focus. The balance achieved here is much about the nice baguettes used for each of their sandwiches. With quality meats, cheeses, and their thinly sliced red onions some may say it's a perfect meal. On par is the premium pricing. Expect $16 for the baseline on a delicious sandwich. They are not deli thick but will be satisfying. The seating can be few during busy hours. Thank goodness many menu items care mobile.“
“Went here last night an hour before closing. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and patient while taking our order. We had the Greek salad and the Bianca Pizza, it was SO GOOD. (The crust was amazing).Great atmosphere, great food and EXCELLENT service at the Stone Oven. The team took great care of us. We'll definitely be back!“
“Good service, excellent portions, the food is super delicious and with top quality ingredients, we ordered the nachos, chilaquiles and birria, all delicious, the café de roca is also excellent and the best thing is that the tortillas are made to “
“I definitely recommend making a pitstop here when that pizza craving hits. Coming from the East Coast, I have high pizza standards, and the Big Kahuna with honey drizzle blew me away. And to top it off, the service was exceptional. Big thanks to the team!“
“Yoma is a delightful "hole in the wall" serving scrumptious Burmese food. As a newbie to the cuisine, I find myself taken with the rich flavors and satisfying textures. Some of my favorites include the tea leaf salad, fried tofu, and goat curry. My server was friendly and helpful, guiding me towards specialty dishes, and sharing a complementary dessert. Yoma's setting might not be fancy, but the experience is like enjoying a home-cooked meal - not to be missed.“
“The food was great!!! What really stood out was the service. I asked our waiter for recommendations based on our dietary restrictions, limited appetite, and wanting a good representation of Argentinean food. He recommended a couple of empanadas, a couple of sausages, and a main dish for my date and I to share. Needless to say, both my date and I were impressed. If I'm in the area again, I'll be sure to be back.Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerant“
“We were looking for a Mediterranean spot near us via Google maps search and I was surprised that I never noticed this spot before (we come to the Sprouts next door on occasion). So, the place doesn't stand out, but the reviews seemed reasonable, so off we went. Wow! The food presentation alone put a smile on my face (pic is after I had eaten some already). Happy to say that everything tasted just as wonderful - fresh, light, tasty. My husband was impressed with the tenderness and flavor of both the chicken and beef. He had the beef kabob with humus, for our 3 year old I ordered the kids chicken kebab with rice (thumbs up for having a kid's menu!), and I had one of their specials - lentil fried rice sans meat.Apart from the food, the owner (I believe) who took our order and the cook who also served us were great. Neither overly friendly or impatient, they were a pleasure to be serviced by. They look you in the eye when speaking, are accommodating, polite, professional. Makes a difference, big time. All that to say that this hole-in-the-wall restaurant has made it to our go-to list. We'll be back agin and again as long as they're here.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kid's menu, decent portion.“
“Went to a cute little gem in LA for coffee. Didn’t see any parking lots but got lucky and found parking on the street. Inside, there was an area where they sold local artist’s art and gems. There was also a courtyard where you can sit and enjoy their coffee. I got a lavender honey latte and it was good but it was a little too sweet for my taste. (I forgot to take a picture)“
“Dropped in on a rainy day, was greeted immediately and was sat in a nice booth. We ordered a salad and the special of the day, "A Spicy Meat-a Ball-a". Great ingredient combo and had a nice thin crust...very edible ?. The house salad was fresh and with their unique dressing, it was surprisingly delicious. Will definitely be a repeat customer!“
“My sister and I discovered Urban Plates on our walk to get smoothies from Nektar. With the overcast and expected light drizzle, the outdoor fireplace was very inviting, so much so we decided to have lunch there. We entered and were greeted by Jennifer. She was pleasant and helpful with answering questions we had while placing our order. Once you've ordered you are given a number and your food will be brought out to you. The outdoor seating is cozy, comfortable and spacious. I like that we had the option of couch, bar style or table and chair seating. The food arrived quickly! Parker our server was friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He even lowered the shade to make sure the wind or drizzle didn't bother us while we dined. You could feel the warmth and intention of his customer service, there's the doing what's required and then you get the rarity of someone like Parker. Thanks for your welcoming energy and great service! I had steak, roasted potatoes and garlic parmesan mushrooms. Food presentation was good and everything was seasoned well. What took my breath away was the oatmeal, cranberry, and coconut cookie...OMG!! It was large, soft and and crispy on edges. Absolute cookie perfection! I'm thinking of justifiable reasons to get a dozen...lol Overall we enjoyed our lunch at Urban Plates. Looking forward to my next lunch or sweet tooth trip!“
“Finally: the best vegan Pizza is back!!Pineapple Express! We’ve been waiting so long! It’s a festival of flavour! :DParking: The parking lot at Purgatory has a small number of spots and it’s kind of difficult to navigate through. S Utah Street has plenty of street parking.“
“Wax Paper Chinatown brings the same excellent sandwiches that you can get in Frogtown to a different part of LA. I usually go to the Frogtown location if I'm craving one of their sandwiches, but if I'm nearby or want a sandwich only offered on the Chinatown menu, then I order from here. There's some seating in the shared hallway area if you decide to dine in, and I've always found the service to be friendly and efficient. The Garth Trinidad is one of my favorite turkey sandwiches, combining a slightly spicy cabbage slaw with roasted turkey and aioli. Just writing about this sandwich makes me think I'm quite overdue for a Wax Paper order!“
“Hidden gem of a spot next to the gas station. The hand painted sign caught my eye as we were driving past and I'm glad we stopped. Got The Heights sandwich and it did not disappoint. We ordered two sandwiches and they were made up quick, we looked around the bottle shop while we waited. They've got a great selection of waters, soda, wine, beer, and kombucha for such a small footprint. I really liked the card system they had describing the bottles of wine and where they're from. Service was friendly and I want to come back for takeaway pasta and a bottle of wine for dinner some night soon.“
“Gloria’s has easily become my new favorite brunch spot. The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is so homey. The plantain and pancake dishes are my go-to and the cafe de olla is a must!Kid-friendliness: I’ve gone multiple times w a party of 7, consisting of 4 kids. Had no issues and kids loved their plates.“
“Incredible hidden gem in Silverlake. The food was delicious I really enjoyed the prepared quinoa salad and brownie. The servers were really kind as well. The entire space is hidden in an alcove of trees, it really doesn't feel like your in the middle of an urban area. Cute oasis!“
“OUTSTANDING, ABOVE AND BEYOND EXPERIENCE! Great customer service from start to finish. The atmosphere was very clean. The speed of our order was quick. It was such a seamless experience. The food was so delicious, very fresh ingredients with options for a vegan like myself and a meat eater like my partner. It was such a perfect meal option after our hike in the snowy mountains. Highly recommend this option if you are in the mood for Mediterranean food and in the area!“
“I feel like I deserve a VIP status because I've ordered endless amount of their prosciutto sandwich and pink lady beets salad through dine in or ubereats this year. Their limited time peach hot honey sandwich was to die for (please bring it back!) and their service is EXCELLENT. One time I went in to order and someone was there to make sure everyone would get their togo order in a timely manner. When someone had to wait too long, he offered her free snacks or beverages!! This kind of excellent service is very rare in the states. Usually people are too busy and don't pay too much attention or would just apologize. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel lol. I'm in love with mendo“
“Absolutely amazing experience. Got to meet John (one of the owners) but that’s not why I like this place. The food is authentic. Reminds me of my Nonn-‘s cooking. Yes I am of American Italian descent. Great to go selection. Everything looks beautiful!Minestrone soup (which can be such a tasteless soup made by so many) is totally flavorful full of beautiful vegetables!! Sandwich I had the Italian sub was on point and you’re talking to a New Yorker !Thrilled to have found this awesome deli/eatery. By the way it’s super clean. Well organized in the staff is delightful and very helpful.Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten-free options which is really nice. They actually care and they stop and they listen.Kid-friendliness: Great patio in the back for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Great spot for handicap with wheelchair needs“
“The sandwiches are to die for. They use the freshest ingredients and it feels as though the sandwiches are made with love. I love eating a Banh Mi and although their interpretation is not traditional. It is really a home run and worth a try. I had trouble paying as my Apple Pay wasn't working. The guy working the register was so kind to me and said they can give one free sandwich per a day to those in need or whatever. It was my lucky night. I don't like to owe or receive hand outs. I returned with cash the next day I worked in that area. I offered to pay for the sandwich and he remembered me, but they couldn't accept the money because it would affect the till. I was insisting to give them the money to make it right. So the manager said that I could put it in the tip jar if I'd like and that's what I did. I'm not looking for praise or anything. This is what happened. I was really touched by their kindness and generosity. I will be sure to patronize this restaurant again and bring my wallet next time in case I mess up using Apple Pay again“
“What a gem! A no frills mom and pop restaurant. While some may think their menu is not extensive, their food truly encompasses the soul of Mexico. My partner and I came for only the breakfast items, but if what we had was amazing I can only imagine lunch and dinner items. The cafe de olla is top notch here. I could not stop drinking it! The staff were so kind and service was quick. Will have to come back to try the other items here!“
“I went into the Glendale location and notice how amazing the inside looked and how spacious it was, the best part of going in was the food (wings and pizza) I got mango habanero wings and a bbq chicken pizza and was amazed on how the wings are oven baked not fried. 5/5 can't wait to go back“
“Great family place to eat. Friendly staff. I saw this hamburger on Google reviews and wanted to try it. The overall taste was good but the hamburger meat was a bit too well cooked or even I can say burned as you can see from the picture it was almost burnt around the edges. I didn’t want to make a big deal about it so I ate it but would definitely ask for a different one next time if it comes out this way. French fries was good.“
“a sweet date night spot. the pizza was super good: flavorful and crispy and soft crust, really fresh tasting ingredients, and the banger was very creative and interesting and tasty. the margherita was simple but so flavorful, especially that tomato sauce. the inside was a pretty space and full of dark wood, and it was cool seeing into the kitchen. the outside was nice too but somewhat loud in the heated patio area near the street. solid chilled red natural wine by the glass.“
“Quaint place with Thai decor and good food. First time trying and their flavors are nice. I ordered a yellow curry. Not overly sweet and mild spicy was just right. Nice hot egg roll and salad with it, along with rice. I liked their tofu soup as well. Simple. Rice soup was also pretty tasty and this place has other dishes that are not the typical Thai menu items that people usually know about. The owner was nice and atmosphere too.“
“Blaze pizza is the best, you can customize your pizza with all the toppings and sauce you like. The staff here are super friendly too! They work really hard to speed up the assembly line, especially on a busy day like pi day! They have a good attitude and pizza tastes great. Will be back to this location!“
“Lotus Kitchen is a delightful addition to LA Myanmar restaurant scene. The flavors of Myanmar truly shine through their dishes, offering a unique and authentic experience. The service here is really friendly, and the ambiance takes me back to Myanmar. The shuffling menu got me really want to check out their facebook page frequently. Recommended!!“
“Tony's has been a top sandwich spot for me. I don't usually eat sandwiches, but when I do, this place is the best. My top favorite sandwich is the pastrami with avocado. The Mexican tuna sandwich is excellent also. You can't go wrong with a sandwich from Tony's. The area is okay. There's plenty of parking in the back lot and street parking.“
“First time here and the dishes we ordered were delicious! Mool naengmyun and bibim naengmyun with bul-gogi. (Cold noodles with broth, cold, spicy noodles and marinated beef). Korean restaurant choices in the La Crescenta, La Cañada, Tujunga and Montrose are just got a killer spot to check out. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu items in the future. Check the business hours. They close after lunch service and reopen for dinner. Parking is very tight.“
“Came in and tried the viva Mexico bowl. Hands down !!! Best Salad Ever! You have plenty of choices and the dressings that come with it!!! It all works . Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Thank you for a delicious experience.“
“The workers here are always so wonderful and accommodating to all their guests. They are always giving great customer service, going above and beyond, and are also very quick and efficient. These are all reasons I choose to go here over other places whenever I’m on my break. Love to see it!“
“Been coming here since I was a teenager and the food has always been good and exceeded my expectations. If you get the plates you will end up with more food than if you get the wraps. The only negative part about this place is the parking. Many different stores in this place and not enough parking spaces. There are one or two handicapped spots too which are always full so try to find a spot even if it’s further away from the store.“
“Great ramen, great service and nice Japanese style atmosphere. Got the spicy vegan sesame ramen; could have been a bit spicier but i also didnt ask for a spice adjustment. Strong sesame taste with a slight miso taste as well. Overall good ramen, and their fried veggie spring rolls were delicious.“
“The sushi was pretty good but the service was outstanding. The young man that helped us actually knew that I was bringing a couple of kids that want to see the conveyor belt in action so he made sure that the chefs put the orders on the conveyor belt so they could experience taking the plates off of the belt and enjoying the sushi. I thought that was really thoughtful especially since the conveyor belts are more of decoration now than actually active use. I forgot his name, but really great service!“
“My fav is the Charcoal latte , hot or cold the best every time. Not a lot of places with this kind of drink so it’s one of our precious places to get it.Breakfast toast was alright.Overall All coffee drinks are great choice from here!Clean. Friendly service.“
“5/5! Came here for breakfast. My husband and I shared the classic breakfast burrito and the vegan breakfast burrito. Both were delicious but we agreed the vegan one was a little more flavorful. The yogurt bowl with their fresh granola and raspberry puree was divine! Order that if you don’t want something so heavy but yet still a great portion size and will fill you up. Coffee was excellent too.“
