“My husband picked up a chimichanga for me Wednesday night from the Antelope location. I took a bite and oh lawd! I closed my eyes and could hear the angels singing. It was so good! This close to my house? Lucky me. No fat or gristle, so good! I'll be back.“
“Awesome authentic food, fast service and everyone is always super friendly. We go here regularly and have never had any issues at all. A good selection of food, good prices and friendly workers is always a good combination. We'll always come back“

“I stopped by just before midnight after a long shift at work and ordered two spicy soft potato tacos and one Doritos Locos Taco. Honestly, this was the hottest, freshest, and best Taco Bell I’ve had in a long time~ it was so good. I just had to leave this review… Late-night fast food is usually hit or miss, but this was definitely a hit. Thank you to the team working tonight! Hope this location keeps it up. :))“

“The food and service here are fantastic! Everything is packed with flavor, and I always enjoy coming back. My only note is that if you’re expecting a typical super burrito size, it’s a bit smaller than you might anticipate. For the price, I wish it were a bit more filled. Still, a great spot overall!“

“Have driven by a million times and friends had us meet them there. Wow, we've been missing out! We had a Chimichanga, carnitas, Mole enchiladas, and a shrimp dish that was to die for. They were kind enough top let us try a taste of the ceviche -they have one shrimp and one made with fish. Both were bright and flavorful. Prices were reasonable and they had inside or patio dining. Service was great. I can't wait to come back...We're hooked!!“

“I enjoyed eating here when I lived in the area and it was nice to stop by for a hungry bite again. They have a next level salsa bar and their plates are generously portioned. Prices have gone up noticeably since I last came here to enjoy some Mexican food. It's not quite the value that it was. Their plates used to be $13.99 and that's gone up to $17 for comparison. That said, they offer overall quality food.“

“Everything is home made, from tortillas, tortilla chips (best I’ve had in Sac), home made salsa. Their food is delicious, and freshly made; their service is wonderful. Norma and her husband, the owners, also work to make sure their customers are happy and satisfied. We look forward to returning on January 7, 2026. Please join us. You’ll be glad you did. “Generous portions, perfectly cooked shrimp, and flavors that hit every note, pure magic! This restaurant is my mom's favorite (she and her bestie are regulars), and I was lucky enough to catch them before they left so I could place a to-go order. My go-to test at any Mexican restaurant is the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (garlic butter shrimp), and I was thrilled to see it on the menu here. Ordering takeout is always a gamble since you're not at the restaurant if something isn't right but I believe quality should be consistent whether dining in or taking food to go. Thankfully, this place delivered in every way. The shrimp were succulent, large, not skimpy, and cooked perfectly. The garlic butter was rich and flavorful without being overpowering, and the sautéed onions balanced it all out. Even the refried beans stood out (something many places surprisingly get wrong). The rice was fairly standard...on the drier side but when mixed with the beans and that delicious garlic butter from the shrimp, it turned into a whole new level of flavor. That's how I made my burritos (that's how I eat this plate, I have to wrap it all up in a flour tortilla. Let me tell you, it was absolute magic! Portions were generous, I could tell the meal was thoughtfully prepared, and every bite was pure satisfaction. The only downside was the styrofoam packaging (I'm not a fan of that), but it didn't take away from how incredible the food itself was. This restaurant easily earns my seal of approval. I'll definitely be ordering from here again because when I say the food was amazing with a capital A, I mean it!“

“First time diners, Fajitas were outstanding and could be shared by folks with smaller appetite. Taquitos combo was also delicious with a little spicy kick. Dined on late Sunday afternoon not crowded, someone was sing Karaoke, which was a little bit louder than necessary. Restaurant was clean. The staff was attentive and friendly, will come back“

“Everything met fairly standard expectations for a sit down Mexican restaurant.
Got the Jumbo Burrito, Al Pastor. This is a new favorite spot but unfortunately not close to where I live. Great portions and great flavor for the price. What more can you ask for? I came because I saw a review that it’s al pastor cooked legit off the trompo. I believe it, but did not confirm.
These days with street food prices at almost the same rate, might as well go somewhere that’s regulated, food safe, and provides nice service and atmosphere. $13.99 before tax for jumbo super burrito.“

“Overall not too bad, the jumbo tripa burrito I ordered was delicious but a bit too much pico de gallo filling. Tacos were good as well, the salsa bar with chips if you're dining in is nice to have. overall I'd recommend if you're in the area.“

“It's the type of restaurant that you order your food, pay and then the staff bring the food to your table. Since we were a larger party (6) we took longer for everyone to order. The staff was very polite, helpful and patient while answering all of our questions. They also were very accommodating with our add-ons or deleting items in our orders. The food came out quickly, was fresh, attractively plated and so delicious that we ended up ordering additional food to go! If we're back in Citrus Heights, I definitely would like to eat here again!“

“Valencia's feels like one of those secret spots that only the locals know about. This was my second or third visit, and the food is on point every single time. They have a little Bakery you can grab things to take home on your way out, as well.
On this visit we had the nachos with al pastor pork omg
This is arguably some of the best Mexican food in the burbs.“

“Carmelita's Mexican Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with authentic Mexican flavors. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The menu is extensive, featuring everything from classic tacos and enchiladas to more unique dishes that showcase the richness of Mexican cuisine.
The food is consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The margaritas are a standout, perfectly mixed and refreshing. Service is generally attentive and friendly for the most part, though it can be a bit slow during peak hours.
Overall, Carmelita's delivers on taste and atmosphere, making it a solid choice for anyone craving quality Mexican food. A few small improvements in service would easily make this a 5-star experience.
Parking: Parking can be hard to come by. You'll probably have to park about 100 yards down“

“Last week I went to OMG Cocina because I was craving some Mexican food, and wow—what a delightful surprise! I walked in expecting to grab some tacos, but when I spotted black pozole on the specials board, I just had to try it (I’m a huge pozole fan!). I usually stick to red pozole, so this was a totally new adventure for my taste buds. From the very first spoonful to the last, I was grinning—the rich flavors, the perfect blend of spices, and that incredible mix of roasted peppers with a hint of citrus had my taste buds dancing with joy. Absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be going back, and I can’t wait to explore the rest of their menu!“

“Omg this place is BOMB. Born and raised in California, I have seriously high expectations when it comes to my Mexican food. As far as I am concerned, this state has the best food in the nation, and this place is on my list of why I think so. The food is excellent, and the people that work there are an absolute pleasure to do business with. I work around the corner, and have become addicted to getting three chicken tacos and a can of Coke almost every single day. It's an addiction that I don't think I can break. They're just too good. If you come to sacramento, you have absolutely got to try this place! I wish I could give it more than five stars!“
